The Unknown Part Eight

Nope. Not going to do this... not now anyway. I shake my head and say "Where are the people like us?" The old man seems genuinely shocked and slightly confused before saying "We found them injured and wondering the Forbidden Forest outside so we brought them back with us. They've been staying here and recuperating." 

I give him a kind smile and say "I would like to see if they're the ones we're looking for." The man nods his head as he slightly hesitates. It looks like he wants to say something or perhaps ask me something but he decides to keep his mouth shut as he walks us in the direction of a large tree.

I instantly push the questions to the back of my head and focus on the dreamlike surroundings. It was easy to distract yourself when you have this to look at... I look up to the sky to see it completely dark... it didn't even have stars...
