It Begins

Alec shifts into his office to see Chip pacing back and forth in the room with worry. Chip's head whips up and quickly says "Not good! They're moving fast... really fast. They'll be here around midnight and their numbers are in the thousands!"

Alec's heart misses a beat as he quickly says "Can you and the Crawlers launch a surprise attack on them before they reach the city?" Chip quickly nods his head as Alec says "You need to be extremely careful, Maya would be devastated if anything were to happen to you."

Chip nods his head again and says "I know... I'll be careful. We'll hit them as hard as we can!" Alec nods and says "Maya's currently in the hospital.. the babies are trying to come sooner than they should. She can't know how bad things are right now. The stress will only make things worse."
