Envy
The next day I sit in front of the large fish tank as I watch the turtle, Thor, and the four Koi swim around happily. I feel a strange sense of envy watching the little turtle waddle through the water. "He looks so happy..." I say dragging my finger along the glass.
His little feet paddle along as he follows my finger. "Heh.." I laugh watching him swim. He even looks like he's smiling. Such a cute turtle... He gives up on my finger and swims to the surface for air. After a few moments, he dives down to the bottom.
The bottom of the tank was filled with fine white sand. I frown when I see the little guy suddenly eating it... "Uhh..." I lean in concerned and tap on the glass. He turns to look at me with round eyes. He watches me for a moment before eating the sand again.
