A TALL MAN STOOD IN THE DOORWAY.

His unusually long fingers curled around the door handle, shutting it tightly as he stepped inside. An unnatural dark shadow cast over him as the sound of his thick boots filled the room. My eyes trailed up to his, and I couldn't stop myself from flinching back. Light, icy blue, snake-like eyes stared intensely at me.

"How have you been, darling?" He cooed; his voice smooth as silk. "I must say, I've missed you these past few days."

As I stared at the unfamiliar man, a sudden sharp pain erupted in my chest as an inaudible gasp escaped my lips. A hiss escaped my lips as I bunched up the fabric of my top in my fist. Like a flashback in a movie, hundreds of images seemed to fly through my mind. Millions of thoughts and past memories accelerated in my head. I seemed unable to slow them down as my lungs contracted painfully, struggling to get air. The room began to spin as my stomach lurched.
