Chapter 5: Heartbreak

Angelo froze, he turned away from my gaze while he mumbled under his breath. I patted on the back and Angelo looked at me with glossy eyes.

Angelo then mumbled. "Did I do something wrong?"

I sighed while I shook my head. "No, not at all."

"Then why would she cheat on me? It had to be something right?" Angelo said as drops of tears slide down on his face.

I placed Angelo's head on my shoulder while gently rubbed his back. "A lot of people will falls in love, and that's because falling in love is easy. But people fall in love with the wrong people sometimes."

Angelo didn't said anything, he only continued to cry on my shoulder. The owner of eatery soon noticed something was wrong and confronted us.

"Is everything alright?" said the elderly man.

"His ex cheated on him with another girl." I said

bluntly.

"Ah~ I see. Well then, can I get you two anything?"

"Two bowls of ramen, one pork and one tempura please."

"Coming right up, would you like anything to drink?"

"Just water from him, I'll take some green tea."

"Alright then." the owner said walked away into the kitchen.

I turned my attention back to Angelo, who was still crying on my shoulder. I rubbed my head against his, as I heard Angelo mumbled something.

"Charlotte..." he muttered.

I sighed. "I know bud, just let it all out. You'll feel better afterwards."

"Will I ever love again?" he cried as wrapped his arms around me.

Okay, this is starting to get pathetic.

"I can't answer that question,"

"Why not?"

"Cause the only one who can answer that question is yourself."

"How?"

This is so awkward, but I was one who put myself in this situation. So I just have to suck it up.

"Angelo, do you want to fall in love again?"

Angelo sniffled. "I do..."

"Than you have to move on. Charlotte is already dead, so it's not like you need to worry about ever seeing her again." I said bluntly.

"I know but..."

"No buts! Don't try to create excuses for someone who is dead. Come on! You're better than that."

"I am?"

Oh my God! This guy is going to give me a FU*KING headache!

"Sure you are! After all there's a lot of girls in our school who would be dying to date you." I said with the most cheerful voice I muster.

"Really?" Angelo said, but he spoke with a deeper tone of voice.

Angelo then had a tighter grip on me, and I had an unsettling feeling that I know where this was going.

"Order up!" said the owner as he place two bowls of ramen in front of us.

I'm saved!

"Thank you very much." I said.

The owner nodded at me before he walked away.

"Angelo, it's time to eat. Can you let me go now?" I asked him.

But Angelo didn't let go...
