The Lord

Pushed against the wall, he slowly followed along it, to navigate the darkness.

In the darkness all around him, were various hushed voices, all overlapping eachother.

Some feminine, light and melodic; others deep and brash.

His murky green eyes gazed around worriedly into the darkness, darting around in every direction.

Worrier about fighting the voices that still lingered in the darkness, he clenched his jaw down tightly.

How could he fight, if he didn't know how to utilize the boons the voice had granted him?

However, as he walked, a clearer voice spoke up, and it was directed at him.

"Are you… our Lord?"

Moving his head in the voices direction, he looked on with curiosity in the endless black, and wished to ask what it meant, but nothing came out.

Another voice chirped, this one female, with a high pitch.

"Are you dumb? Of course he is! How else would a human be in here!?"

After a short pause, the female voice retracted what it said.

"Well… he definitely looks… the most like a human."

A pair fluttering of wings suddenly glowed from within the darkness, with a pair of glowing eyes.

It slowly approached him, revealing the rest of its form.

A tiny thing… almost ethereal, with the form of a girl, gliding through the air with rapidly beating wings.
