Chapter 9

They got to Ben's home in few minutes and made their way to his room, she wrapped her hands round his head and place her lips on his, and he responded with equal passion, shutting the door behind him.

"I love you Ben, and i am sorry for putting you through all this", her voice was calm and soothing.

He looked at her with admiration and lust. He returned his lips on hers with force and passion. She moaned in his mouth and return the same passion and fire. They explored each other lips and mouth for a minute and two before pulling away.

"You are the one Janet", he began his monologue... "In our life, we get to meet many people that we may have feelings for. Yet even in all this feelings, it may not still work out, but there is that person that was made for you, that person fits you perfectly and no matter what happens, nothing can separate you two...", he paused.

"Ben", he hush her by placing his finger on her lips.

"Don't say anything babe. Most people don't get to meet that one person and usually make do with what they have and have to tolerate or just be content with the person they got. When i saw you Janet, i knew definitely that you were the one. You are that one person that was made for me. My other half, my compatible one. I had to end things with Britney, she was lovely but she wasn't the one. But you are my love", he spoke with a firm resolve.

Janet stared at him speechless with love in her eyes, she couldn't believe someone could love her so much. The only person who had love her this much was Bea and the thought of her brought tears in her eyes.

"I am sorry babe, i didn't want to make you cry", Ben brought his hands quickly to her face to wipe away the tear. "Are you alright my love?"

"Don't mind me", she tried smiling admist the tears, "your love is too much for me", she giggled and Ben joined also.

"No love is too much for you", Ben replied romantically.

"I am afraid you may leave me babe, it's going to get tough from now on. You may see me do things that may look absurb and terrifying c...."

"Nothing can separate you from my love babe, i am ready to die by your side", he cut in, after which he placed his lips on hers again, caressing her bottom lips slowly and sensually. She moaned in his mouth encouraging him to proceed further.

They pulled away from each other minutes later and head towards his closet.

"What are we looking for here babe?", he asked looking confused.

"Change of clothes", Janet replied swiftly. "The best way to evade any suspicion is through change of clothes, it would make tracking us difficult". She explained with zeal.

"Tracking", Ben stared at her surprised.

"Why are you looking at me like that, don't you know we would be tracked, cameras and bodyguards and those kind of stuff", she told him.

Ben eyes widened with fear, while he tried to keep his composure.

"From now on, there is no going back. We could be jailed, kidnapped or even killed. Are you sure you want to do this Ben", her voice was without emotions and she looked at dead straight at his face.

"I am in", he tried sounding confident but his composure and the expression on his face betrayed him. He was afraid of what was going to happen, but as long as he is with her, then there was nothing to worry about. He assured himself.

"Take ten clothes, with five hoodies and lots of facemask. There is going to be security cameras running facial recognition software at the building, and most facial recognition software works by calculating the distance between the facial features like the eyes, nose etc. So by wearing a face mask and with hoodie, it would make recognition difficult", she explained with an air of pride, while sorting out some clothes.

Ben stared at her with amazement and joined in the sorting and packing.

"We are gonna pack into our bag packs", Ben recommended.

She gave him a quick smile and an impression of admiration, "my babe is a master detective, did i just got married to Sherlock Holmes", she said playfully and he laughed in response.

They got into his car and began driving towards Johnson's with Janet leading the way. They arrived at the building in ten minutes and parked some kilometers away from it. They highlighted from the car with new set of clothes that had hoodies and with face mask on.

"What's the plan?", Ben asked her.

"Simple, since it's a trading firm. There would be high need of coffee and muffins. We are gonna act as caterers with tray of coffee", she explained.

"Wow", that was all he could say.

They made their way to the entrance of the building after purchasing a tray of coffees. It was a skyscraper sitting between adjacent skyscrapers. It had a fence with electric wires sitting on top of it. Behind the fence was a medium size parking lot playing host to a lot of vehicles.

They walked slowly to the gate that led to the parking lot, trying hard to observe the personnel at the gate. She studied the two men standing close to the gate, they were heavily dressed with all manner of security gadgets. She swallowed in a bit of saliva, this was going to be a tough one she thought.

Midway to the entrance of the gate, she raised up her palm indicating that they had to stop.

"What is it?", he asked sounding impatient, with a tray of coffee balanced in his hands.

"They use a card system for security, if we go in this clothes we won't be able to get through the gate. We need to dress like waitress looking exactly like the ones that attended to us at Bun's coffee place".

She turned to look at him, her face was filled with concern and a lit bit of worry. Anytime she had this expression, it meant she was entertaining the possibility of her failing, and she tends to act recklessly when she was feeling this way.

He stared at her eyes with firm resolve and smiled at her.

"You can do this Janet, you can do this", he assured her with boldness in his voice.

"Yes i can", her usual emotionless face came up.

She sat nervously with the rest students who were already all dressed up in their swim suits. She had always love the waters and swimming but after the incident she had four years ago, she had developed a inward phobia for swimming and water altogether. She looked at the boys that were moving seamlessly in the water, navigating through it with ease. Was she to have any place in the school swimming team, she would have to face her fears head on.

"Get ready girls, you are up next", the coach bellowed, his voice booming round the hall.

The girls nodded in response.

The boys were making their last lap and she could see one of the boy lagging behind the rest, he was swimming like one that was drowning, struggling with the waters. There was laughter coming from the students at the other end of the hall, mocking this seemly lonely swimmer. She was frightened by this, she hated to be a laughing stock and to be mocked. It was her sixth day since she started this school and this wasn't how she wanted to be labelled with.

The whistle blew and the girls stood up immediately, "Take up your position", the coach commanded with a loud intimidating voice.

She made her way to the middle stand, the eye of the storm. She waited patiently for the whistle to sound again and it felt like the longest moment of her life. The whistle blew and immediately she jumped into the water and started kicking and swimming. She was to make just two laps. Her first lap was good, with her leading the other girl and she could hear the silent boos among the students.

She tried looking at the girl that was behind her and she saw Jessica, she was what you called the Queen Bee. Beating her in any thing was as just as committing suicide, but Janet wasn't the one to fear school bullies and Queens. She loves overthrowing them, and she felt she had all the beauty and skills to do so.

She pushed her leg back against the wall of the swimming pool and thrust herself forward to begin her last lap. Her leg slipped sideways against the wall and this gave her the wrong push. She went in headway deep into the water and she could hear the laughters behind her. She quickly made her way to the surface and saw that her mates had given her a considerable amount of distance.

She braced up and started swimming, she got to the other end when the others were already halfway through their last lap. She finished her lap and step out of the water only to meet the disappointing look of the coach.

"What was this Janet", he said with disappointed in his voice.

"I am sorry coach", she apologize, with her heads bowed

"Sorry don't win medals, it's the work", he scolded her bitterly, then turned towards the other swimmers.

"Get ready for another round girls, though you did great some of us didn't", he barked.

The girls made their way back to their position, each of them giving her a very angry look. She felt embarrassed because she knew she was the reason that they had to do another round. She had to get it right this time, but her confidence had failed her. She sauntered towards her position when she felt the warm grip on her hand stopping her. She quickly turned round to give whosoever that held her back a very intimidating and defiant look, but that thought was quickly dismissed from her mind when she saw him standing before her with facial features of deadly handsomeness.

He held her face and stare directly at her eyes with hope and believe.

"You can do this, I believe in you", he said with confidence and calm, with that he left her.

She stood rooted at her spot as she could feel the excitement and belief stirring up in her. He believed in her and she began to believe In herself.

"Janet", the coach barked.

She was jolted back to reality and quickly walked briefly to her stand. She waited for the whistle and made a quick dive when it rang. She swim like she had never swim before with new zeal and confidence. She leaped and kicked, gliding her body easily through the water like a hot knife through butter. She finished her lap and quickly step out of the water to meet a proud looking coach.

"You had that in you the whole time", he spoke with admiration and she blushed in response.

"God job today, go clean yourself Janet", he dismissed her.

She wipe her body with her towel and she could hear the other girls coming out of the water. She smiled to herself and made her way to her giggling friend Angelina who was sitting at where she had sat earlier.

"Wow", Angelina was filled with laughter and smiles, "did you see the gap you gave all of them"

"I was just swimming, I didn't had time to look back".

"You were like a machine, swimming with terrific speed", Angelina praised her, "you were like", she made imaginary swim strokes in the air and both of them laughed at her gesture.

"Have you seen the guy that held my hand a while back?", Janet asked her.

"Oh you mean Ben.. He left as soon as you came out of the waters", she told her.

Janet dried herself with the towel and picked up her clothes as she walked towards the exists. She was blocked by Noah who stood proudly with his perfectly built body right in front of her.

"You did great damsel", he spoke softly.

She blushed and hid her hands behind her while flipping her hair playfully.

"Thanks very much", she said playfully.

***************

She led Ben back to the coffee shop and they both stood at front of the building staring at it aimlessly. What was she going to do, how can she get clothes for them to wear. She thought to herself. By the side of the building, she could see two staff walking out of the building towards the backyard. An idea came up in her mind and she walked quickly towards them and Ben followed behind.

"Where we going?". He asked.

"Trust me", she answered with an air of confidence.

She got to the back of the building and found both of the staff talking to each other. She put on a smile and waved at them while they directed their stares towards her direction and gave them an inquisitive look.

"This is not the entrance to the building", one of the employee said.

"I am not here for coffee, but for your uniforms", Janet replied moving closer to them.

The male staff stare at his uniform and then at Janet, wearing a confused look on his face.

"What do you mean young lady", his voice was firmed and calm.

"Two hundred dollars for both of your uniforms", she replied confident looking at them with defiant in her eyes.

"Hun". The lady sounded surprised.

"I wanna buy your uniforms for two hundred dollars", Janet explained still looking defiant.

"Sorry lady, but this uniform is not for sale", the man responded irritated.

"Five hundred dollars", Ben added.

They both smiled and began taking of their uniforms, after which they gave it to them.

Janet looked at Ben with admiration as they wore the uniforms.

"Thank you". She whispered.

With the uniforms on and the tray of coffee in their hands, she was fully confident that the guards won't be able to stop them. They got to the entrance gate of the firm only to meet two gateman heavily decked with all manner of security gadgets. They shot at them an inquisitive stare and Janet quickly explained that they were here to deliver orders gesturing to the tray in her hands and her uniform.

The gatemen looked at each other studying each other expression to determine if they were to let them in. After what seems like forever, one spoke to the walkie talkie hanging on his shoulders and the gates began rolling back in wards.

The gates opened up to a very busy car park and traffic of personnel. She looked at Ben who stared at her with a tint of fear. She stared back at the building. She was going to find the boss, no matter to what. She said to herself.
