She's Adored by Vampires

A one-year-old girl was left in a cave to save her life. The next morning, she was found by vampires. Rue Miraz smiled. Ah, what beautiful creatures! Alright, you'll be Rue's new nannies from now on! --- PS: the story isn't focused on Mira alone, the world around her and other characters will be given screen time as well. Also, please review my work, don't criticize (don't curse me/book) but helpful criticisms (what problems/ possible improvements did you notice?) are encouraged. That way I can improve myself in writing. Okay?

Raziel internally sighed and patted her shoulder "Well, I'm speaking from the worst case scenario so don't worry too much"

After saying his piece, he went to the door and left the office.

"Ba? Okey?" Mira asked if everything was alright, the atmosphere was tense earlier and now they were leaving. It must be something bad right?

"Don't worry about it anymore and sleep, my sister will take care of it"

Mira could only nod to agree before her eyes closed. It was the middle of the day, the sun might not reach the mansion because of the mist barrier but as a baby, she needed a nap everyday to grow.

"Did something happen? Were you attacked? tell me" Seren's patience was wearing thin. From a young age, Dasha was taught not to lie, and her doing so made Seren extremely anxious.

'Just what happened that made her this stubborn?' She wanted to settle this peacefully, but her continuing this farce makes it difficult to do so.

"..." Dasha's eyes shook for a moment. She opened her lips and was about to say something but the memory of five days ago surfaced in her mind.

"Qe, Dasha won't you help me this once? I would take it as a favor, you don't want something bad to happen, do you?"

Dasha looked down which concealed her conflicted expression. There are a lot of things in her mind and she needs to get out of it somehow. "Nothing happened my lady, I really don't know what you're talking about. The man I was following had some status in the city so I spent the last five days investigating him, but sadly, I didn't find anything unusual."

She cannot let this situation blow out of proportion. Things would just escalate if the siblings knew about him; and that can't happen now when they're about to return.

Seren stood from her seat and went to the sofa where Raziel previously sat. She then crossed her legs and boredly rested her chin on her hand. "You have a knack for testing my patients don't you?"

Dasha kept quiet but her eyes spoke everything, she was determined to see this through to the end. Seren felt her resolve, she began tapping her fingers on the arm rest while staring deeply in her eyes.

"Since you don't want to talk then I guess that's it," Seren paused, she shifted her legs and fell silent once again. "tch, meet me in the dungeon" was the last thing she said before getting up and leaving the office.

Dasha felt her heart skip a bit, her pale complexion became worse, and her strength gradually left her body. "Fvck" her body shivered as the unpleasant memories surfaced in her mind. "No, it's still okay. I mean, I was expecting to die so what's a little pain, right?" Dasha pursed her lips as the fear crept inside her body.

"This is all that guy's fault, I should've punched him when I had the chance!" She knew she was venting at the wrong person; not that it's possible anyway, but that's the only thing that keeps her sane right now.

After regaining enough courage, she decided to follow and made her way to the basement. There, she entered a hidden door behind the wine cellars and walked down the dark stairwell.

'I can't believe I'm here again, I feel like I'm offering myself to the monsters'

"Why do you look so sad?" Raziel asked, it has been a few days after Dasha returned and was taken to the basement.

"Asha? Asha where?" Mira voiced her concern, something happened a lot lately, she couldn't even see her big sister Seren anymore.

"She has a lot of things to do so you won't see her for a while" Mira was slightly dejected, Dasha doesn't look kind but she's not bad either, she also knows how to take care of her better than Raziel could. Alas, what a waste, she lost a potentially good babysitter.

"Tell you what, I'll take you somewhere fun"

Somewhere deep underground, one would hear the loud pants and breathing coming from a certain door.

Inside was a woman, chained to the wall, although there was no mark of deep injuries, her body was thin like a stick. Her face sunk deep and lips dry from dehydration. Her consciousness would sometimes fade and go, and she would growl like a wild beast.

In the center of the room, just in front of her, a woman was sitting casually. In her hand was a glass of red wine, glistening at the little light brought by a single torch.

"Doesn't it remind you of when we first met?" Seren started, taking a sip on her glass.

Dasha had been confined in this room for who knows how long. There were no windows to judge the passage of time while her hands and feet were tied to a chain, she did nothing but starve.

"You were lock in a cage and shackled by chains like that one, if it weren't for my brother pitying you, you would be dead by now"

The only thing close to a clock was her body. The fact that she starved to the point of losing sanity meant that she had been here for at least half a year, and that started quite a while ago.

Her eyes were lifeless, devoid of light and lost their initial shine.

"So he asked to buy you, and we turned you into one of us," Seren smiled as she placed the empty glass beside her. Meanwhile, from the outside, the door opened, revealing a young man with the same face as hers. Raziel walked inside, carrying a tray of blood.

"It's feeding time," he smiled, looking in her direction.

While placing the tray on the table, he saw the bottle of wine and an emptied glass "Sister, do you really need to do this? She's been starving for so long yet you're drinking in front of her"

However, Seren responded with an eye roll, "like you're any better" she mumbled underneath.

While holding the bowl full of metallic red blood, Raziel walked to Dasha and force fed her. As the blood lingered in her mouth and nose, her mind regained some clarity, and the pain of starvation once again crept in her brain.

She growled like a beast and consumed the blood. In less than ten seconds, the bowl was empty. "Well, that's all for today, see you in three days" Raziel raised his hand and bid farewell, taking the bowl, tray, as well as the glass and wine bottle his sister used.

WRAGH!!

"More, more, give me more!! Please, I need more!" Dasha pleaded but he never stopped walking until he exited the door, leaving her alone with Seren again. Lucky for her, she was not planning to stay any longer either.

"Be content with that animal blood for now, maybe one of this days, when I'm in a good mood, i'll consider letting you out"

Those words she left behind left a significant impact on her, her lifeless eyes slowly regained its color, with a hopeful look, she watched as her figure disappeared through the door.

"Finally" Dasha smiled and sighed in relief.
