Chapter 9

While Billy held the beautiful vial of the Golden Sentry serum he was lost within his thoughts, completely unaware of the uninvited guest watching him.

The feeling he got from planning this whole thing and the few close calls but he accomplished what he was after, it was exhilarating.

But all things didn't go to plan, he was missing a big piece of information. He didn't know Angel, due to detecting HYDRA already hidden within the system had used it to mask the attack, and had unwittingly put the world's finest spy onto his trail.

He was suddenly startled by a very low yet forceful voice, almost dropping the vial and destroying the vial before Angel could copy the formula. "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT KID"

shouting the first thing that came to his head, "HOLY SHIT, BATMAN?!!?" and quickly turning to where the voice came from expecting to see the Batman himself, in his mind that's the only person who could sneak up on him. After seeing who it was and the rather large gun trained on him, his anxiety shot thru the roof.

"Damn, you're not Batman. Batman doesn't use guns, what the hell is Samuel L Jackson doing here? Weren't you bald?"

His anxiety caused him to begin rambling, a bad habit that has gotten him in trouble quite often.

"Listen up motherfucker, you're going to gently place what's in your hand down and get on your knees with your hands behind your head."

Finally able to get his mind back on task Billy tries to think of what to do. He could say SHAZAM and be done but then the vial could be damaged and all this would've been for nothing.

Betting on the person to not really shoot a kid, Billy makes his decision. "Hey, can you do me a favor? Can you say, 'I'm tired of these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!"

Just when Fury was going to answer, Billy flicked his wrist to try to distract the man and then move for cover, not yet realizing who he was dealing with due to his initial surprise and his brain to think of solutions, and without the access to the Wisdom of Solomon which is the most undisputedly is one of SHAZAM's greatest source of strength, he was quite limited.

Fury after seeing the kids attempt to distract him snickered to himself, 'so predictable, is this kid really trained?' Able to predict the kid Fury fired a shot to graze the kid, he knew what was running thru the kids head.

Right when he was going to tell the kid that he was wrong in thinking he wouldn't shoot, he was stunned by a blue flash that appeared where he aimed to graze the kid. Instantly seeing something unexplainable he throws out all doubts.

Phil Coulson too was going through numerous expressions, first that Fury actually fired at the kid then seeing what happened after surprise then doubt. He too was questioning whether he was wrong or not.

"What the hell man, you actually shot at a kid. I haven't even hit puberty fully or got laid."

Billy started stressing even more, things just went from good to bad then to worst within moments.

Hearing the person's response, just raised even more questions.

"Kid, if you wouldn't have gotten the wrong idea in the first place I wouldn't have fired. Now I don't know which organization got you to do this but give yourself up peacefully and we can talk. If you really do want to hit puberty and get laid as you put it, its the only way. I got agents surrounding the place, there's nowhere for you to go."

Looking down at the vial, he had hoped to wait until Angel could confirm it was perfected since they only hinted at Sentry being in MCU and there was now way if the abilities were different or not.

Seeing no other option he throws caution to the wind. Opens the vial grabs the injector he brought and injects it. Then a burning pain like no other followed the serum into his arm and spread throughout his body.

Fury after receiving the warning from Phil Coulson of what the kid was doing tried to run to stop the kid.

Just as he made it to where the kid was hiding it was too late. The empty vial and injection tool was laying next to the screaming kid.

But before he could check on the boy he noticed the temperature around the kid started rapidly increasing. Steam started coming of the kids skin.

Backing away from the kid Fury starts getting a bad feeling and quickly runs to the exit while ordering Coulson to call in a containment squad.

Just as he exited the warehouse, a massive fire erupted from the warehouse. Hotter than any fire he felt.

Inside the warehouse Billy was no longer screaming in pain due to passing out from the pain. His body giving of a yellow glow, matching that of the sun. His body was changed by the interdimensional energies on a molecular level.

Within his mindscape was another matter, a battle for control was occuring.

What Billy had forgotten so carelessly was there were three personalities inside Robert Reynolds after he became the Sentry. There was Robert or Bob, Sentry and Void. It was believed that Robert already had a small case of multiple personality disorder before becoming the Sentry and thats what created and seperated them.

But that wasn't right entirely. Sentry was a sentient life force, a refugee from another universe who attempted to break through another one looking for a new home and was merely accomodated by the serum as the professor worked on it.

Due to Robert already having a split personality Sentry was able to take hold in place of Bob but masked himself as Bob encompassing the personality making Bob the confident hero Sentry is while Robert is so terrified at his abilities he barely left the hole SHIELD put him in while they tried to look for ways to kill him and to learn the extent of his ability.

Since Billy wasn't suffering from the same disorder Billy was immediately attacked mentally. Sentry was going for control cause otherwise the loser is absorbed into the winner.

Fighting back the pain from being assaulted by physically and mentally he wanted to call on the power of SHAZAM knowing that with the Wisdom of Solomon he would easily win. But using a mental voice isn't enough. He was screaming SHAZAM over and over trying to use his bodies voice so badly. It was the biggest reason he wasn't satisfied with just the power of SHAZAM.

Even though he was powerful enough to match Superman, he had a matching set of stupid weaknesses as Superman too. The sun color is understandable and magic sure, but different color rocks from your homeword? Yea that's dumb. Sure there's rocks on Earth that can due the same, Plutonium and Uranium for example, so sure the kryptonite is deadly but no some could even give kryptonians a sex change just by being around it.

Fueled by anger towards himself for continuously thinking himself as One Above All Stan Lee himself, and thinking his knowledge of things made him unstoppable, Billy knew he just needed to focus and not get overwhelmed. Staying calm was key, all those worries about not having a firm hold on his mind due to he himself recently waking up in this body too, slowly faded allowing him to focus more.

Looking at the devastation of his mindscape and seeing his own astral projection no longer as solid, then seeing the smirk on the face of a being looking much like the human tourch. Something within Billy snapped.

'The power of a million stars. I will have it!'

"You think you've won don't you? Well you may have gotten me had you hit a little harder when I wasn't ready. But now? No chance. Do you know why?"

Seeing the smirk widening and getting ready for it final assault Billy continued, "Because this is MY MIND and MY BODY ALREADY! Now make like a baby and head out, and yes pun intended douchebag."

'Oh shit, thats who that was that shot at me, that wannabe Batman was Nick Fury. Damn am I being effected by the brain of a kid. I'll just blame it on that.'

"SHAZAM MOTHERFUCKER!"
