Shatter the Bad Ending!

[Restore The Crown] This was the novel that I was tasked to review as a contestant for our yearly webnovel event and as someone who had to probably read hundreds of novels by now. It was utter garbage, it was full of overdone tropes and cliches that you could have seen from a mile away. A bland and mary sue protagonist ✓ A list of heroines who fall in love and become obsessed with the protagonist instantly ✓ A myriad of villains who have no other personality other than to hate and try to kill the protagonist ✓ They were all there. Except for the surprisingly catchy title, there was no other positive thing about this novel. But was pissed me off the most was the ending. With no build-up and seemingly out of nowhere, most of the heroines were killed and the world that they lived in became hell on earth. It was literally revealed in a couple of chapters and was clearly done just to shock the readers. Honestly, I wish I could restore the time I wasted reading this novel. But as I said my criticism to the author. The f*cker shot me in the head! (I proofread my chapters by myself, sadly I am only human, so if you find any mistakes, kindly point them out and I will fix them as soon as possible) (This is my first attempt at writing novels, to those who keep on reading despite the occasional mistakes here and there, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I will promise to be a better author, anyways have a nice day and please never build galeforce on twitch, if you do, you don't deserve 8 hours of sleep, that is all, thank you)

In my last moments, I thought of my friends,

My family that was left behind on earth.

My friends that were assholes but were just loyal as my late dog.

The games that I have yet to play and were just stuck in my library.

The beautiful petite short-haired girl in the cafe that really loves BL novels for some reason.

My collection of milfs in my laptop.

I'll miss all of you.

*CRASH*

.

.

.

.

Huh?

Instead of feeling the agonizing pain of being crushed alive I open my eyes and see the face of the serpent was visibly bleeding.

Th-The Barrier!

I thought that all living beings could pass through but thankfully, holy sh*t, thankfully that does not seem to be the case.

I let out a huge sigh of relief.

I picked myself up and look at the sea serpent.

It was preparing itself to strike again, but.

*CRASH*

The barrier was unshaken,

I look away from it and gaze upon the cave in the middle,

It looked ordinary except for the soothing sound that was coming out of it.

All I need to do was to overcome this last hurdle.

I slowly pushed my worn-out body through the mouth of the cave.

The soothing sound is louder than before.

*****

Thanks to the potion, I was able to navigate pretty easily through the cave.

In the novel, it didn't depict there were any monsters in here.

Because there is an even greater threat inside.

And that is-

I was stopped dead in my tracks.

What appeared before me were countless azure eyes shrouded in darkness, looking at me, judging every single fiber of my being, they gazed behind me, over me, and through me.

"Who are you," A soothing voice echoed within the cave.

It held no malice nor benevolence.

I kneeled before the being.

"My name is Troi Leobrera, a humble human, I kneel before Theos."

The being shook its body that was shrouded in darkness,

It was visibly surprised after all he was a god,

A forgotten one.

In this world, there are 3 main gods.

Aether, the God of Radiance, the one who granted us light.

Larathus, The God of Mortals, the one who granted us life and death.

Erubia, The God of Dusk, the one who granted us dark.

Yet there was a fourth, a god lost to time, that was discovered by chance by Elliot Blackheart.

And, a fifth, but let's talk about that at another time.

Theos, The God of Hope, unremembered and abandoned as eons pass by, was a god that granted anyone the power of hope, no matter what their goal is.

In the novel, Elliot hoped for power, to castrate, decimate, and humiliate the protagonist.

And, Theos, granted it, as he was a god that was neither good nor evil.

But for me?

"It seems you already know me, human, raise your head"

I raise my head looking straight into the countless azure eyes of the forgotten being.

"What do you hope for?"

I grin inwardly, this is what I've been waiting for, all the near deaths and experience I had to go through was just for this very moment!

I cleared my throat and spoke.

"I hope to return, to my home, to where I was born, to where I grew up, to where I experienced love for the first time and so is sorrow, I hope to be brought back to where I truly belong,"

The ever-judging eyes of the forgotten god pierced through me.

I stayed composed and steadfast.

My hope would only be fulfilled if I showed true determination to him, if I showed any sort of hesitation my head would roll to the floor.

.

.

.

Silence enveloped the cave.

And not a second too soon,

"Hope is the thing that powers us through times of adversary, it is the thing that keeps us fighting and standing up whenever we get beat down to achieve our goals, but my eyes see that you have a dream beyond the likes of your kind, yet like a fire in the midst of winter, your resolve refuses to die, unwavering and unfaltering, what a grand aspiration you have there human,"

The cave shook violently.

The soothing voice that came out of the God was no more.

"I the God of Hope, Theos, will grant you guidance, seek strength my dear child and the rest will follow,"

With each word he spoke, the cave shook ever so slightly.

One by one all of the eyes went inside my body, no into my soul.

It was painful but I held in the urge to scream.

After a few minutes of agonizing torture.

I fell to my knees, breathing heavily.

A sound rang in my head, and a transparent screen appeared before me.

[God's Guidance]

(Accept Y/N)

Just like a generic novel, this was a damned system.

A system that originally belonged to a villain.

I sat down to calm my beating heart.

I immediately pressed Y.

The transparent screen shook and changed.

For now, I only have 1000 points.

Elliot had a system that granted him points by making the protagonist and heroines suffer or just by doing cynical evil stuff.

I click the missions tab.

I was curious about what the missions were for me though.
