It was you wasn't it

She was back where she had been on the ground marble in hand. Someone was urgently knocking her doors as if they wanted to break through.

She put the pearl back in the purse and placed under her pillow before fixing her clothes.

A girl stood outside the door and glared at her as soon as she pulled the door open. She was dressed in a familiar pink dress that she had worn earlier.

The only difference was that this girl had heavily accessorised. A golden hairpin that was peony shaped held up her fancy hairdo.

A golden necklace that looked like it would break her dainty neck and heavily made up face that made her doe like eyes stand out.

"It was you wasn't it" she accused strutting into her room like she owned the place.

Her entourage of two followed her in as they looked around in obvious disdain. She closed the doors and leaned against them staring at the trio that was looking around her room.

"You are the only one who would leave the mansion in the morning." she went on before approaching her.

Pushing away from the door she stood still as the girl pulled at her dress. She had not changed since she came back and pulled back the fabric she had caught hold off.

"What are you talking about?" she asked feigning ignorance as she remembered the men that had harassed her earlier.

She wondered if the girl was talking about what she had done earlier. Her face had been concealed by a veil and she planned on denying ever hurting anyone.

"Acting dumb now are we?" the girl asked poking her belly with her closed fan.

The other girls also came and surrounded her enclosing her in place. They were all taller than her and glared down at her with contempt filled eyes.

She calmly stood there letting them stare down at her. They were just trying to scare her and would leave if they didn't manage to confirm her involvement in the matter.

"But with her cultivation" one of the girls hesitantly brought up after touching her wrist. The other two thoughtfully stared at her for a few minutes before stepping away.

Ever since she had gotten here no one had spoken to her about cultivation and she obviously didn't know if she had any. She had thought she was actually powerful after beating up those guys but now realized she was not supposed to have that ability.

"You are right about that she is too weak." their leader agreed still staring at her.

She gently caressed her cheek before pinching it a little. It took all of her strength to fight the urge to slap that hand away as she calmly stared at the girl.

"Stay indoors" she ordered patting her cheek a little painfully.

"We wouldn't want our servants to get hurt." she mocked before pushing her away.

Thankfully her body fell back onto the door otherwise she would have been hurt by the fall. She didn't know any of these people and had decided against retaliation to avoid anymore trouble.

"I will do that" she conceded hoping they would leave since their motive had been achieved.

"Get out of the way then!" the leader ordered reminding her she was blocking their exit.

She quickly opened the doors and stepped aside letting them out. They strutted out like peacocks swaying their hips in an exaggerated manner.

Standing there she waited until they were some steps away before closing the door. A sigh slipped from her mouth as she rushed to her clothing chest. It seemed like the men she had beat up were looking for her.

Since she had worn a veil and a dress that was uniform to many other people the only way to identify her was to ask the people she had met earlier during the day.

Her hands quickly moved as she took off the incriminating dress and stashed it away. She rummaged through the dresses and pulled out the only different colored one.

A green plain dress she didn't understand why it was the only different dress but put it on anyways. A dark green robe was worn above it before she was satisfied with it.

Sitting at the dressing table she stared at her reflection for a while before pulling out the silver peony shaped hairpin.

Long, black , silky hair fell down her back and the sides of her face enhancing her fair skin. She was never a narcissistic person but even she had to admit she was beautiful.

Just staring back at those black depths entranced her not to mention the rest of her face. Her hand reached for the small red patch that was forming on her cheek and massaged it.

"What a b***h" she cursed remembering the cause of it.

The slightly inflamed area only got worse the more she massaged it hence she put down her hand.

She would make sure to get back at those girls another day for now she had something more important to do.
