I'm not a criminal

A familiar blue clad figure sat next to the open window with a small lit candle flickering beside him giving an almost non existent light as he stared at the intruder.

Even the moon was brighter than the candle as it's light illuminated the figure giving her a clear view of who it was. She slowly scanned the figure as he did the same for her.

He looked as good as he had been in the morning when they had first met but now a mocking smile occupied his previously cold face.

She was still standing where she had landed feeling a little too embarrassed of being caught breaking in to move any further.

He was right it was uncivilized to break in after not being able to convey what she wanted but her mind had not been working clearly when she did it.

"I am sorry" she apologized avoiding his eyes hiding her fire filled glance.

She had not expected anyone to be in the room when she snuck in. If she had known he was such a creep she would have gone in using another window.

Besides who even liked to silently sit around in dark rooms except for pervy weirdos who were doing some nasty stuff.

"For what being caught?" he asked standing up and lighting all the other candles brightening up the room.

She felt a little indignant and nodded at his back repeatedly before looking away when he turned around.

"Next time I promise not to notice." he teased taking a seat behind a fully stacked study table.

It was made of beautiful smooth dark brown wood that slightly glowed in the dim light. Even the books and papers scattered around it couldn't hide its magnificence.

A fitting table for the man that sat behind it she concluded as she leisurely took a seat opposite him.

"There wont be a next time" she assured looking up into his mirth filled eyes.

He felt familiar as if they had known each other before and were friends. Scoffing he stood up and languidly approached her before taking a seat next to her.

Maybe it was because of his calming presence or how familiar he felt but she did not push him away as he leaned close to her.

His rich unfamiliar scent was greedily taken in by her nose as they both stared at each other. "Because I will ask them to let you in whenever you want to come"

Her heart was not racing nor was her mind ringing but she certainly felt something as his breath slowly caressed her ear.

His words were accompanied by a swift tag at his waist pulling out a golden token that was forced into her hands. She stared down at the token and traced the image on it before looking up at the guy extremely close to her.

"Why are you always giving me stuff?"

Her question rung in the air as he quickly pulled away her fingers slowly traced the unfamiliar characters on the token staring at him curiously.

This morning she had tried reading signs on establishment and had realized she could only read the characters in the note and journal.

Which either meant she was illiterate in this place or the people just wrote a different language from the one they spoke.

"Am I?" he questioned staring at the small fair face in front of him.

He still could not believe she was back but her different character already said it all. She looked up and remained silent as they stared into each other's eyes.

"Yes, do you have a crush on me?" she teased leaning closer to him as he had done earlier.

Her molten brown eyes flickered in the dim candle light as they stared deep into his eyes. A faint smile graced her pink lips as she waited for his response.

He didn't know why but his always calm heartbeat suddenly went crazy. A pool of saliva filled up his mouth making him gulp before pulling away from her.

"Crush?" he asked discreetly taking in deep breaths.

"It when a person ," she started and stopped with a shake of her head. "Nevermind I came to see you for a serious matter." she changed the topic on seeing his confused expression.

"What, did something happen?" he questioned clearing out all the air from before.

"Yes but it's not a big deal." she dismissed not ready to tell him about what happened.

"I was just wondering if you could maybe not tell anyone I was here this morning." she requested.

"Why, what happened." he inquired wondering what had happened between the time she had left and now.

"Nothing could you just not say anything about me if asked" she insisted refusing to answer his question.

They were strangers and she didn't need to report everything to him just because he was nice to her.

"I don't know" he answered realizing she would not say anything if he simply agreed to her request. She has always been secretive and got into a lot of trouble for it.

"Besides its not like I know why I should be lying for you in the first place." he went on hoping she would relent.

"What if I become and accomplice to a really terrible crime. You just never know with criminals." he finished and quickly scurried away narrowly avoiding the punch that had been aimed at him.

"I am not a criminal, he was the one who tried to grab me first." she burst out furiously chasing after him.

"Wait" he stopped and grabbed her flying fists stopping her in place.

"Someone tried to grab you?" he interrogated shaking her. She had been attacked despite all the people he had put around her.

He had clearly ordered them to keep her safe and report if anything happened and yet no one had told him anything while something so serious happened.

"Calm down" she said pulling away from his strong grip.

"I handled it and that is why you should not tell anyone I was here." she assured slowly patting his shoulders.

After seeing the confirmation in his eyes she smiled brightly and said her goodbyes before flying out of the room the way she had come in.
