"According to folklore he was there from the beginning and is even present now it is believed that the entire world system arose from him. As from his chaos order arose, from his darkness the light was formed and finally from his death life was formed. That is why the balance of the universe is very important as without one the other one would simply be nothing.

In the days of old it is said that this balance was maintained by nature as both the earth and heavens nourished each other and maintained life. Before the prophecy all the beings in all the realms were happy and lived with perfect harmony" Ren Wentian was about to continue when Chen Liju interrupted him with a question.

"What prophecy?" She had immediately run into Wentian after getting here and asked for a history lesson that was going well before she started asking questions.

"The prophecy said that there would come a woman of immense power that would draw her power from nature and scatter chaos all over the world." he explained and had to fight back his sigh as Liju brought up another question.

"Who made the prophecy?" she asked anxiously staring up at him as if ready to draw the answer out of him with her eyes.

"Sage Tianyu of the Changhu sect he was recognized as the best in his field."he answered hoping no further questions would interrupt his great story telling only to be disappointed in the next second.

"So let me get this straight an old guy said a chick was going to bring chaos to the world and everyone believed him and so let me guess they self fulfilled the prophecy right?" she went on to happily speculate thinking back to all the movies she had watched back home before going silent after noticing the glare sent her way.

"Okay, I won't interrupt go on" she mumbled shrinking back like an ostrich.

Ren Wentian didn't seem to trust her and remained silent for a couple of moments before continuing with the long **s story that was not coming to an end. "At first everything was alright until the woman in the prophecy was discovered some millennia later.

She was said to be a demonic cultivator as her spiritual qi knew no bounds and could even control ancient mythical creatures, tear down mountains, part seas and even breath life or death into beings. Hearing this everyone was reminded of the prophecy and decided to take action before she fulfilled the prophecy.

So all the strongest experts gathered together to discuss the way forward but none of them could come up with a solution. That was when the top organizations of the time joined in and proposed a solution. They offered to help the realm by killing the jinx and in exchange they would be able to rule the realm.

Everyone but the Ye clan agreed to the plan this caused them a few problems as they were famously known as the gods' envoy and if they did not agree then it meant that the woman was probably not the same one as in the prophecy. A couple years went by with the Ye clan stubbornly protecting her until everyone turned against them.

Led by the Chen clan many powers united and attacked the Ye clan bringing the once strong power down to its knees. Everyone in the Ye clan was murdered and even those who were far tracked down and murdered. After they were done the woman from the prophecy would be next but that posed a problem as no one knew who she was or where she came from.

The tension was slowly dying down as Chen clan assimilated into their new role as the gods' envoy and other powers chipped away at the Ye clan properties leaving almost nothing when she showed up again. In all the prior stories she was said to be aloof and never cared for others.

But this time she was furious and suddenly attacked the Chen clan no one had expected her to show up that day and the Chen clan suffered some losses before all the other powers gathered and joined the fight. They were all fighting against one person but experienced so much loss.

No one had told them that the woman had numerous supporters and spiritual beasts who all came out to defend her. What was more shocking was that everyone on her side was extremely powerful turning the small fight into war. Countries, clans, families and even sects all fought against each other successfully ridding the world of peace.

This went on for couple of years until the high council was formed over night and was said to have immense power as they trapped the woman and finally killed her. To this day not many know how they succeeded but that was when the world system was formed and got into order." Ren Wentian was shocked that he was able to get through so much without interruption and stared at the silent Liju who was staring down at the ground.

He would have thought she had fallen asleep if it were not for her flattering lashes and apt posture hiding away both her hands. Little did he know that she was tightly clenching her fists and taking deep breaths to calm down her racing heart beat.

She did not know why but this story had somehow affected her mental state making her feel uncomfortable. Maybe it was because she had grown up with a different background but she did not like the fact that the Chen clan had schemed it's way to where they were.

And the fact that it was her paternal clan made her skin crawl as she imagined being raised up by them. She couldn't believe that she had cherished becoming a delegate to such people she was so deep in her thoughts forgetting where she was at the moment.

She only seemed to notice his silence a few seconds later and looked up shocking him with the intense stare that had yet to leave her eyes."Are you tired? should I just stop here for now?"

He asked after shaking off the dread that had crept up his arms and legs giving him goosebumps. "You can ask any questions that might have bothered you?"

He offered generously after realizing something was wrong with her, Chen Liju seemed to go back to normal before asking a question that stunned him. "Which side were you on when all of this happened?"

She had asked staring deep into his eyes making him feel as if she could see into the deepest darkest depths of his soul. He had to admit that even though he had assisted in the war back then it had left a bitter taste in his mouth that still bothered him till date.

Looking up at her cold scrutinizing gaze made him feel all the more guilty prompting him to delay his response. "The Chen clan, I had already become a soul companion and had to assist my partner during the war."

He explained squaring up his shoulders hiding away the shame he felt deep within."So you also killed her?"

She asked before scoffing and turning away from him he didn't see it but she rolled her eyes with disdain before continuing with her words." What if I was her? Would you still kill me just because I was to powerful to comprehend?"

Quizzed putting him in a dilemma, because they both knew that would soon happen to her as she was extremely talented and was only weak currently because of the loss of memories. The disturbing thing was that if he was told she was going to bring chaos when she was fully powered up he didn't think he would stop anyone from going against her.

It was human nature to fear anything that was difficult to comprehend and he hated that he could still have emotions even after cultivating his soul all this time and while he was busy thinking about this Chen Liju drew a conclusion from his silence and was disappointed to learn that even he was no better than others.

She was silent as she let this information slowly sink in waking her up from her delusions. Soon the lesson continued after this brief interlude that would change everything that would happen in the future.
