Second day (1)

[Welcome player] said the blue screen as a smile appeared on Tanaka's face.

Tanaka woke up with a yawn and dragged his tired body to do his morning routine.

Last night was exhausting,

extremely so.

He was so excited about seeing the system that he forgot about the troublesome quest that came with it.

He had to work out despite being tired mentally. All he wanted to do was just throw himself in bed, but knowing the penalty of the quest, he forced himself to do it.

After that, he couldn't get any sleep as he had a part-time job.

He barely got any sleep last night.

Of course, there were the rewards of the quest that healed any wounds or fugitives.

But he wouldn't waste it. It could save his life.

Forcing his body to move, he began wearing his school uniform and left his apartment.

On the way to school, he began exploring the system and its functions. It had inventory and a store, etc.

Although the store was locked until he got to a certain level, he was satisfied with the system.

He ended his exploring short as he reached the school.

On his way to class, he met with Hajime.

Hajime was running late for school yet again.

He quickly got up and dragged his tired body to eat breakfast and get ready for school.

He left home quickly and hurried to school, although he really didn't want to go.

School isn't exactly his favorite place in the world.

Reaching school, he met with another student who seemed to also be on his way to class.

He got a closer look and saw a slightly familiar face.

Tanaka!

Tanaka was a new face in school. He hadn't been in school for too long, although Hajime didn't remember when he transferred to his class as he wasn't paying attention at the time.

The only thing he and Tanaka have in common is that they both liked to sleep in class, although for different reasons.

Hajime also noticed black bags under Tanaka's eyes. Added to his slow movements and unfocused eyes, it was obvious that Tanaka was exhausted and hadn't gotten enough sleep.

"Good morning, Nagumo-san," greeted Tanaka in a lazy, tired tone. He seemed to be really out of it.

"Ah, good morning, Tanaka-san," replied Hajime as they both began walking towards their class in silence.

Hajime wasn't really friends with Tanaka. He didn't have that many friends, to begin with.

However, they can be called acquaintances.

It seems like Tanaka doesn't care about the [school goddess] taking care of him or his situation.

They quickly made their way to class, barely arriving on time as soon as they opened the door. Hajime received his daily glares from the whole class, while Tanaka was slightly ignored.

"Good morning Nagumo-Kun" Kaori ran up to greet Hajime with a cheerful smile. Hajime, seeing this, had a wry smile on his face.

Kaori seems to finally realize Tanaka is standing next to Hajime.

"Ah, good morning to you as well, Tanaka-san," greeted Kaori.

Hajime and Tanaka both got murderous glares from their classmates.

Although Tanaka got less murderous glares as most of the students knew his situation,

Hajime, on the other hand, slightly sweat dropped.

Tanaka replied to the greeting with a nod, which made the murderous glares at him increase.

However, he didn't care, nor did he have the mental power to care. He ignored them and made his way to his seat.

"Good morning, Shirasaki-san." Hajime greeted Kaori back with a wry smile while sighing in his heart at Kaori's attitude.

Tanaka went back to exploring the system while the class began. He felt that someone had been looking at him since he arrived at school.

He looked around and found nothing, which made him question this feeling. However, he put most of the start points he earned from his daily quest yesterday into sense and agility.

He shrugged it off and went back to sleep.

Waking up at lunch feeling a bit refreshed, Tanaka looked around his class, which again had decreased in number.

He ran off to the canteen to buy his lunch, however.

Tanaka accidentally hit someone in a hurry.
