An interesting city.

The last thing Devon ever expected was for Lilly and her friend to walk into him while he was training. Usually, Lilly did spend a lot of time at Oliver's house. The girl with Lilly is called Oliver, and she was the only friend to Lilly.

As for how they came to be, it was because the two had something in common. Oliver's father was no longer alive; he died in an incident that occurred a few years back, and since Lilly also didn't have a father figure around, the two got attached because of this.

Seeing the two, Devon quickly hid his hands behind his back. Of course, this didn't go unnoticed by the two girls as they were still staring at Devon.

Meanwhile, Lily's eyes got a bit watery; the scene before her had just brought so many memories to her. Although she was still little when their father left, she wasn't naive enough to forget something about him.

She also remembers their father doing exactly what Devon was doing back then, and seeing Devon do the same thing hit her hard. She felt like she was seeing a mini version of her father.

Devon, with his sensitive ear, was able to pick up the sudden acceleration of his sister's heart. "What is wrong?" he asked, walking over. He was still soaked in sweat, emitting a strong stench from his body.

"Nothing...!" Lilly said, snapping out of it and then forcing a smile.

"Wow... I never knew your brother had such a nice physique!" Oliver said, snapping the two out of their thoughts. She even came close and placed her hand around Devon's chest to observe.

This made Devon blush hard as his cheek turned red. Lilly, seeing this, pushed Oliver's hand away from Devon's body.

"Go and take a bath... You stink," Lilly said, using her hand to cover her nose.

Devon heard this and muttered under his breath, 'Why would she be so mean,' as he left the backyard. He looked at his hand and then at his system notification.

'That was close... for a moment, I thought they saw something,' Devon thought as he sighed in relief.

Meanwhile, outside the backyard, Lilly cast a last look at the tree before also entering the house with Oliver.

A moment after they all left, the claw mark on the tree trunk started to gather up and dry, sealing together. Now, if one were to look at it, one could barely tell what had happened a few moments ago to the tree.

Meanwhile, the rest of the day had gone by with Devon deciding to go to work. He didn't care how much he made the previous night; the amount he had was not infinite, and for him to maintain a good life, he still had to work.

Time went by in a flash, and soon Devon was counting the amount he made for the day.

'This amount... I wouldn't have made this much a few days back. Maybe being a werewolf isn't as bad as I initially thought,' Devon said as he shoved the money into his pocket.

After becoming a werewolf, he could now do a lot of tiring jobs he didn't dare to do before, and the best part of it all was that he had done it all feeling next to nothing at all.

Thinking of this, Devon wondered if there was a job that requires manual strength he could apply for and get paid. This way, he would make more extra money with his power.

'It did make me think of Malik's offer... Whatever this job of his is, I am sure it is something I can do, and with my werewolf power, I can at least be certain of my safety,' Devon thought.

'Maybe I should give it a try,' he decided.

Far away from the city of Vanceburg, in what appears to be a club hall, but with fewer people around at the moment.

A man dressed in a purple suit with eyeglasses, and a black mohawk sat on a long couch with a tablet in his hand, playing footage of a battle.

"Interesting, the weapons you bought today are quite good," Hilton said as he placed the tablet on the table before him. He had a long, large cigarette in his hand as he took a puff.

"But I feel like this isn't enough for the amount you are mentioning," Hilton said.

Hilton was the man with a green mohawk hairstyle. He was the leader of a secret organization that had been operating in the dark.

Placing the cigarette on the table, he looked at the man sitting next to him.

"Don't you have something better than this?" he asked.

"I am sorry, but this is all I was able to produce from the crystal bodies you provided. Perhaps, I might be able to do something about it if there were more crystals for the creation," the man replied. He was wearing a suit as he sat casually on the other couch.

Hilton and his secret organization had been trying their best to gather as many beast weapons as they could in their arsenal. As for their motive for doing this, it was still unknown.

"I see... What about you name your price? I would want you to resent me for something far greater than what we have here. Just name your price," Hilton said.

"You don't understand, Hilton... I work for a company. Those weapons are not mine. Besides, if you are so willing to spend money on buying me out, why don't you just use that amount of money to buy the actual thing?" the other man said.

"Look, Harry, if it was as easy as it seems, I wouldn't even be here with you. Just name the price I would be willing to pay," Hilton insisted.

"I am sorry... My answer hasn't changed. I have already done too much by using extremely valuable materials in making those weapons. If anything else were to suddenly go missing, the organization might decide to run some checks, and you know what that means?" Harry said.

It was apparent that whatever the two were discussing was done illegally, and Harry was kind of unwilling to go further than he had gone so far...

Hilton wanted to pressure Harry into pleading with him, but it was at that moment someone walked into the hall. It was a man with a mohawk hairstyle, just like the others.

He went towards Hilton and whispered something in his ear. After a moment, Hilton nodded his head as a smile crept on his face.

"You know what, Harry... I accept the offer. I will buy them all," Hilton said.

Hearing this startled Harry. He wondered just what Hilton had been told, but he wasn't in the right place to ask questions. All he was there for was to deliver some packages and didn't wish to mingle with the other business. The ones he had gotten into were struggling to get himself out of it.

Soon, the package was delivered. A fist gauntlet was laying before Hilton and his men as they observed it.

"More of this is on the way... I can't wait to initiate my plans," Hilton said.

"If I may ask, what is the next course of action, sir?" one of his men asked.

"Head to Vanceburg city... I just got a piece of news from an insider. Something interesting is about to happen there," Hilton replied.
