Chapter 4: Chroma

After meeting with that man, or woman, well it doesn't matter, he offered me a plate of food anyway, but just as an alarm went off. He told me that it was necessary for him to leave and allowed me to stay until I recovered.

I felt quite disconcerted. No one saves someone, takes care of them and feeds them. I was wary of the food and decided not to eat it, thinking that maybe it was poisoned or had something not very nice in it. After all, a day or two without eating would be nothing new to me. I tried to get out of bed, but my body hurt so much that I could barely move.

With nothing else to do and being alone, I remembered that I had that flute with me that always relaxed me in situations like this. I settled a little on the bed and placed the flute as I usually did. Although at first I didn't know how to use it, after so much trial and error, I found a suitable way.

I began to blow and a beautiful whistling sound echoed in the room. It was very different from the short sighs I emitted the first time I played it. Note after note, a song began to flow, something that had been forbidden for a long time. In this empty room, a song never heard before played again.

And then something happened. Like a warrior wielding the weapon bestowed by his god to fight, Robin lit up. But it was not a red light of blood and aggression, but of a calm and peaceful green. The dimly lit room was enveloped in an aura of peace, and Robin, along with his flute, was enveloped by that same aura. Surprisingly, the neglected flute, with its imperfections, began to cleanse and Robin slowly but pleasantly began to heal. Robin was unaware of her healing, however, as she was absorbed in her music and had blocked out all her surroundings.

But, like all things that begin, all things must end, and with the last whistle, the song came to an end.

-Applause. "What a wonderful song!" someone or something that wasn't there before, appeared. It was the same woman who had helped me.

"Hic, don't appear all of a sudden like that, I almost had a heart attack," I replied startled by her unexpected appearance.

"You possess a very peculiar gift. In all my years of work, I've never seen anything like it," the woman said, showing great interest.

"And exactly in what job can you appear and disappear like that?", I asked with my usual expression after I had calmed down.

"In a pretty funny one, hahahahahaha," the woman laughed comically.

"Why, would you like to know?", the woman asked in a cold voice, as her aura of power filled the room, dispelling the calm that my flute had left.

"And to have to suddenly appear and disappear, no thanks."

"A pity. It's not common to see chroma people."

"Chroma? What does that mean?", I asked with great intrigue.

"You don't know, what world do you live in?"

"In one where I'd just know it's Chrome" I said with my usual sneering face.

"That's what people like you, or like me, are called. Normally, people are given a weapon by Valakor, and it shows by the red color of their aura. But you know what, sometimes there are people who don't have a red aura. There are people like me who have a black aura. I've seen many colors, yellow, blue, but never a green one like yours."

"And is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

"I don't know, it depends on you and how you use it," as he said this, he pulled some kind of badge out of his pocket and offered it to me.

"If you don't know who you are or what you're good for, you can contact my organization. We are specialists in working with the Chromas."

"But what exactly is your job?"

"That's something you can't know unless you are part of it."

I hope you find this correction and improvement helpful. If you have any other requests or need more help, don't hesitate to ask.
