A few bullets also hit the four of them, but thanks to their clothes, they survived. They ran to the side and took cover behind walls. Five gunmen were seen slowly approaching the cafe window. Jacob grunted and said, "These bullets hit like a freaking truck. I may have broken a rib or two."

Naomi replied, "No, you didn't. This much force isn't enough to break bones. Get ready to fight."

Sohel took out his gun and turned the safety catch off. He asked, "ARIA, why didn't you notify me of these people?"

ARIA replied, "They were listed as security employees, LT. I also lost connection with the UAV a moment ago. I've lost all network connections."

Sohel clicked his tongue and said, "Tch. They've set up a jammer... ARIA, run a local scan. Search for jamming frequency and where it is coming from."

"Yes, LT."

Sohel then turned towards his teammates and said, "The enemy has set up a jammer. As soon as ARIA finds out the jammer's location, Mitali and Jacob will go and disable the jammer and call for backup. Meanwhile, Naomi and I will go and search for evidence."

The three of them said in synchronisation, "Roger."

By that time, the goons had reached the cafe. Sohel peeked out of cover and quickly shot three bullets, killing three gunmen successfully. Mitali looked at Sohel with awe. She saw Sohel's eyes having a mixed look of sadness and ruthlessness. Naomi said to Sohel,

"So you've chosen your resolve, huh?"

"Yes.I'm not going to hesitate anymore. At least I will not hesitate to kill those who actually harbour ill intention."

Naomi smiled a little. She also got out of cover and shot four bullets, but only one hit one of the alive gunmen in the arm. Sohel also got out of cover and shot two bullets, which hit the two of them in the head.

Jacob laughed at Naomi and said, "Naomi, you should let me and Sohel do the shooting. Don't know when you might shoot us by mistake."

Naomi frowned, while Sohel also chuckled. Mitali was shocked and awed at the same time, seeing them joking even in that situation. Sohel got up while saying, "That takes care of the cafe area."

He took a good look at the place. seven-eight dead bodies lying here and there while the people who survived were crouching while covering their ears with their hands. Sohel's blood boiled seeing this massacre.

Aria suddenly speaks up. She said, "LT, I've found the jammer. Very high power jamming signal coming from a signal tower on top of the south building. I've also found multiple heat signatures in the control room, the north building and the reactor room."

"Good. Aria, switch to assault mode."

Sohel said, "Ok, guys. The jammer is at the top of the south building. Jacob, Mitali, get a move on. Good luck. Naomi, we're on hostage rescue. Let's go."

Sohel then went towards the control room with Naomi while Jacob and Mitali went towards the south building.

South Building

Mitali and Jacob got to the lobby of the south building. Both of them shot and killed the two gunmen stationed there. Mitali went to the building wall map. The building was 6 stories tall. Jacob came and stood beside Mitali. He said, "We gotta get to the roof. So... look. We can use the fire escape stairs."

Mitali asked, "Why not use the elevators?"

"We will be sitting ducks in the elevator, Miss Roy."

"Ohhh."

Both of them carefully reached the staircase. Jacob first, then Mitali started climbing up the stairs. Mitali asked Jacob, "So, what's the relation between Naomi and Sohel?"

"Them? Yeah, it's pretty complicated. It's pretty obvious that Naomi likes Sohel. But understanding Sohel's heart is like reading a book in a language you don't know upside down. Sometimes he's the most funny person I've seen, and other times he becomes the most serious person I've seen."

"When he first heard about Naomi, everybody told him to stay away from her. To be honest, I did too. But he went ahead and brought her into our squad. Everyone feared and respected the Medusa. Nobody saw the lonely Naomi under that title. But he did. Since then, they've been inseparable."

Mitali got unmotivated. She only said, "Ooh."

They reached the rooftop and saw four gunmen protecting the jammer. Jacob whispered to Mitali, "On my count, you take out the two on the left, and I'll take out the two on the right."

Mitali nodded. On the count of three, they empty their magazines on the gunmen. They ran to the jammer. Mitali asked, "How do we stop it?"

Jacob chuckled and said, "Easy. We blow it up."

He brought out a small rectangular box tied to a rope. He tied the rope to one of the pillars four bases and came back to the stairs. Mitali followed him. Jacob took out his phone and did something, and suddenly the box blew up with the tower's base. The tower fell off the roof on the yard.
