Chapter 3 Arc Shelter

It has been 3 weeks since the first batch of people showed up on the sacred Eden.

On the 1st day, Millions of people had to be familiar with the new world and grouped together while some stayed alone wandering the land.

The following few days, they focused on gathering food and made some shelter.

On the span of a week, word of mouth spread news of a discovery of a town in their areas.

Thousands of people who were stuck in the wilderness started flocking towards the sign of civilization.

When they finally saw a medival looking town surrounded by stone walls, people were excited and walked towards the gate. It was unknown who was the first to step in but when a person from earth was on the gate, the crystal at the side turned black.

It alarmed the guards and drew their sword to hack the unlucky man into half. The group the man belonged to rushed to save him and without knowing, triggered the crystal into a Sinister Black Light.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

"WE ARE BEING BESIEGED!,Creatures of the other Realm are invading!"

A guard on top of the wall used a hammer to sound the alarm. Archers aimed at the crowd and shot them dead, while the guards on the gate rushed to block the gate to kill any who approached.

The People outside was horrified to see people dying in front of them.

They all ran away from the town in fear of dying, then suddenly balls of Fire, Ice and Earth came from the wall and flew in their direction.

Followed by sound of hooves coming from the gate as Riders clad in armour rushed out to give chase and slaughtered them.

An average person in the sacred Eden have the strength to carry a rock weighing a ton with ease.

While an average person on Earth can only carry half their own weight but still have trouble.

Followed by a magister who can wield the elements who have the strength of carrying 5 times the average person, because of the spring of Eden that made magic possible.

A knight have the strength to carry 10 times the magister, while a magic knight have the strength 100 times of that.

The People from earth don't have the strength and the magic to fight back, It was a one sided massacre.

This is how the first contact happened.

Vanessa who was the leader of the 4 figures, came to the others for a discussion.

"We must quickly return to the shelter and tell my father about this. Johann, Martin and Maggie go cut the Boar's leg to carry back. We will leave after you are done."

the 3 moved with haste while Vanessa bowed and said to Slane.

"I'm Vanessa, those are Johann, Martin, Maggie and Lily. thank you for your help."

"Slane. You're very welcome anytime"

She heard a loud growl from his stomach.

"May I offer you our gratitude and join us back to our shelter?"

Slane has been walking around the forest since yesterday, he was tired and hungry. He accepted the offer with a nod and said.

"Thank you for your hospitality "

At this time, the boar leg was cut into 4 pieces and carried by the three.

If only they haven't lost their companions from this hunt, they would have taken the whole boar.

Vanessa took one of the meat from Johann and they went down stream.

The journey took 2 hours, and they arrived at the shelter by sunset.

Vanessa introduced the place with a proud tone.

"This is Arc shelter, created by me and my father. We have a population of 35 people and one of the decent shelter in this area"

In the spot near a fire, a Man received them with a face full of worry.

"Vanessa! I have been so worried about you. You and Tony have been gone for days and still didn't come back. I am glad to see you safe"

The man hugged her and then looked at the unfamiliar person besides her.

"And this young lad is?"

"Dad, this is Slane, He saved us from the demon boar"

The man hugged Slane and said.

"I'm Kleid, Thank you for saving my precious daughter Slane, we owe you one for this."

Slane can only pat the back and gave a shrug.

"It was the right thing to do "

Klied then turned to Vanessa and ask.

"Where are Tony and the rest?"

"Dad... I....*sigh* they didn't make it...sorry..."

Klied had a face full of sorrow from hearing such bad news.

"they didn't make it... I will go tell their families, go have some food. I will join you later"

In the fire, Boar meat was being roasted. Slane look around the shelter and only saw 6 wooden huts that looks like it's going to collapse. Instead of a shelter, this place looked like a rundown refugee camp.

Vanessa saw Slane's look of pity and said.

"Even if it looks like this, it's still slightly better than other shelters with straw huts. My Dad's a farmer but he still managed to lead us up to now. We tried planting some edible vegetables here and are barely coming by. There used to be more than a hundred of us here, but half left in search of a better place, then we lost 25 from our population off 60... and now ten more..."

"That's sad to hear. you have my condolences "

"It's alright, We remember them to honor their sacrifices "

At this moment Kleid and mourning girls and children came to the fire and said to Vanessa.

" I have told them what had happened.... I hate doing this everytime... if only we aren't so powerless"

at this moment Vanessa remembered something and whispered to his father.

Klied looked at Slane and his eyes goes wide with excitement after hearing what his daughter said.

He hurriedly came to Slane and said.

"Young lad...you were... Slane was it?...."

"Yes?" Slane look at the man with a puzzled expression while eating his food.

Klied kneels and bows his head.

"Please be the New leader of this shelter, I Beg you."
