Servants With a Modern Weapon

Wilson is a servant for the duke's daughter. Little to none known about him. Although something is puzzling about him, perhaps it's his reputation, or maybe it's merely his decency. However, nonetheless, people tend to pretend to be his best friend while wanting to know his secret. Sorry for my bad English since I'm not a native speaker. [Hiatus For Now]

Garth and Cecile Match

Garth and Cecile left both of us to the preparation room. Maria had a worried looked on her face after she watched several matches. It's not weird considering that every student that wore Mythril armor always got the upper hand.

"Where do they go?" Maria asked me.

"To the preparing room, obviously, anything else do you want to know?" I replied.

"Did they bring their weapon?" She asked me with a worried tone.

"Yes, they did," I said to assure her that everything was fine.

Why did she ask that question? I could see the worried vibe from her expression. She had a good instinct, honestly.

"Are you worried about something?" I asked her.

"Not really, but from all of the students, about 3/11 wear Mythril armor. What is on your mind?" She answered and asked me back.

"I am more worried about the cursed sword, Anton said that it has an abort [Heal] effect," I said to her.

"Why do the school told the servants to wear a slave collar? isn't that inhuman?" She suddenly asked a topic that was far from the main issue.

"Why did you suddenly ask? Why don't you ask that when we still at your father's mansion?" I said as I looked down at my neck.

"I don't know, I'm just wondering about it. Don't worry though, my father has requested the removal of that rules," Maria said proudly.

"Your father? How? I know that he has a powerful position in this kingdom, but how?" I asked her again with a surprised face.

"The governor in this town has some favor that he has to pay to my father. He sent him a mail, and I hope it will arrive soon. I couldn't stand watching you guys in that collar," Maria said again as she pointed her finger to my neck.

"Ok, say thanks to your father, we appreciate it," I said on behalf of Cecile and Garth.

"What did you say to me before I asked you about the collar?" Maria asked me again.

"I am more worried about the cursed sword, Anton said that it has an abort [Heal] effect," I said to her.

The arena had an active [Heal] spell cast on its floor. So there was no problem if the students used a lethal weapon, but if that cursed sword entered the arena, it would make horrible chaos.

"That's terrible, but does the sword can penetrate Mythril armor?" She asked me.

"I have no idea," I said to her as in the middle of the arena, Garth and Cecile were entering.

"Can you observe them?" Maria asked me.

"Let me see," I said as I analyzed the situation.

The opponent was 2 people; a boy and a girl. Both of them didn't wear Mythril armor. The boy was a marksman, and the girl was a swordsman.

"Not going to be a problem for both of them," I said.

"Wilson, what if the cursed sword is in the hand of their opponent," I said.

"I'm going to bring the railgun," I said to her.

"Are you sure? You know there is a magic barrier in the arena," I said.

"An exa joule of kinetic impact is going to penetrate anything as far as I know," I said to her.

"Oh, I see," Maria said, and in the background, Garth's sword was clashing against the opponent's sword.

Garth used his sword without any technique, and the opponents were already overwhelmed. Cecile used a barrage of wind spell, and her opponents were not better than her.

"Look, what is he doing?" Maria asked me.

"Who?" I asked.

"The boy that chants magic and uses a bow," She pointed her hand.

"Oh, I see, [Ultimate Appraisal]," I scanned him.

[Direct Projectile] is a spell that makes any arrow have guidance to the target that the user wants.

"Similar to a guided missile, it will guide the arrows," I said.

"What if it hit Garth," She asked worryingly.

"Don't worry, the arrow is only guided. It is not enhanced with any penetration capability. Besides, Garth can easily cut it," I explained to her.

"Oh, I see," She said as she sat again in the chair.

Cecile wasn't surprised by the magic arrow. Even before the arrow arrived, she had already cast a magical barrier.

"See, that's what I told you," I said to Maria to make sure that there was nothing to be worried about.

While the opponents still surprised, Garth charged forward the enemies while sheathing his sword. From the looks of it, they were planning to make the last attack.

Cecile did a barrage of wind spell while Garth charged to the enemy. With only CQC, he succeeded in disarming his opponent with his bare hand. The marksman got his bow thrown out of his hand, and the other had her sword grabbed by Garth's hand.

The audience was surprised by his action, but we were not. I trained everyone to disarm every known melee weapon. Even Cecile can disarm the same way as Garth. The referee stopped the match and considered them as the winner.

"Well, that was quick," I said to maria.

"After this, it is our turn," She said to me.

"Ok, Let's go then," I said as I stood up and headed to the prep room.

The prep room was a big room with a weapon hanging on the wall, near the wall, there were a lot of chairs. We saw Garth and Cecile were drinking from a glass.

"How was it?" Maria asked while she grabbed a glass of water from a nearby table.

"It was too easy, Garth even said that the opponents were not far from a training dummy," Cecile said to her.

I approached Garth and stand in front of him, "Well, it looks like you want a special training from me," I said to him with an intimidating tone.

"Well, good luck," Cecile teased him.

Suddenly one of the students that wore an armband barged in and did a sudden inspection. They were checking every weapon that the students bring.

I asked the car-eared girl that wore the armband, "Anton told you to do this?" I asked her.

"Yes," She replied flatly.

"Ok," I replied her flatly too.

"Are you ready, Wilson?" She asked me.

"Yeah, want to finish it quickly?" I asked her as I walked out of the training room.

"Sure, it will bring honor to my family," She said.

"20 seconds sounds good?" I asked her.

"A minute, I think. Twenty seconds is too fast," Maria complained.

"Ok, I see," I replied as we left the room.

We entered the arena, and the announcer announced our fight. We got special treatment because of Maria.

Our opponent was entering from the other side and hoo boy, they were wearing a full set of Mythril armor.

"Wilson, what should we do?" She asked me while readying her spell.

"Bring the Anzio 20mm?" I whispered to her ear.

"No, I mean like right fucking now," she said panicky.

"Calm down, remember what I have taught to you, cast a barrage of fire spell. Don't use [Napalm]!" I warned her.

"Ok, so what do we do now?" She asked.

"Relax, sit back and watch the show," I said to her as I charged towards the enemy.

I was very rude lately, wasn't I?

Anyway, thanks for reading. There will be a bonus for today.
