Chapter Two

The car pulled up outside what looked like a mansion. There was no way that the place contained less than at least twelve rooms and that was just bedrooms. We climbed out of the car and people come rushing out of the house. One lady ran straight up to Stephanie. "Oh honey I'm so glad you're ok!" She wrapped Stephanie up in a huge hug almost crying. She looked very similar to Stephanie so I took a guess that it was her mother. They shared the same long wavy blonde hair and soft green eyes. She stepped back from Stephanie and looked at me curiously. "And who is this lovely creature honey?" Stephanie smiled kindly at me. "This is Serenity. Serenity I would like you to meet my mum, Clarisa." I smile at her kindly and she steps forward pulling me into a hug similar to her daughter. "I owe you everything my dear. You will always be welcomed in my home no matter what." And she squeezed me a little hard before releasing me. Blake stepped up next to Clarisa and cleared his throat. "Excuse me ladies but is Keith up stairs in his office?" Clarisa smiled at him. "Of course. He's always in that office these days." She pouted. Blake laughed lightly before looking at me. "Serenity, I'm sorry to say, but you will have to come with me for now." I nodded at him. Stephanie and her mother smiled at me reassuringly as I stepped away and followed Blake into the house.

We wound our way upstairs and through the house until we reached a set of double doors. Blake knocked and waited patiently for a reply. "Come in Blake." He opened the doors and I followed him into the large room. Sitting behind a large wooden desk was a man almost as big as Blake. He had short blonde hair and as he looked up I noticed he had brown eyes. His eyes darted from Blake to me then back to Blake questioningly. "Hi Keith. We need to have a talk... In private if we can please?" It was when he said this that I noticed a couple of other men sitting quietly off to one side. Keith nodded to them and they got up walking for the doors. "And close it please?" The last one turned and pulled the doors closed behind him. "Now what can I do for you Blake?" Blake walked over and motioned for me to sit in a chair opposite Keith. So I walked over and sat down feeling them watch me as I did so. "Keith this is Serenity. Serenity this is Keith, Stephanie's father." I looked at him and nodded. "Hello sir." He smiled at that. "No one has called me sir since my first son started school. Keith is fine for now Serenity." Blake sat down in the chair next to me and Keith looked back to him.

"When Stephanie called from the cafe as you know we rushed out to pick her up. At that point we only knew of twelve men that had been sent to try and take her again. We reached the cafe and she wasn't there. Dave said he tried to send her out the back door but they had already pulled up there. He tried to hold them off to give Stephanie a chance to run which she did. On her way out of the ally she came across Serenity. Together they made it to the motel and into Serenity's room. It wasn't long after this that we arrived. Except there was a problem. More men were there than expected." Blake stopped for a moment and looked at me. "These other men weren't well organised rogues...They were from another pack." Keith looked at me and back at Blake. "What are you implying Blake?" Blake looked at me and I was confused as anything. What was a pack? And why would Blake want me to sit in on a conversion about Stephanie? "They weren't there for Stephanie. In fact they didn't even seem fazed by the rogues. They took out a couple while trying to reach the same room that the rogues wanted." This time Keith looked at me alone with curiosity. "They were after Serenity." That got Keith's attention again. "What?" Blake just stared at Keith while he processed what Blake said.

Keith had gotten up from the desk and started pacing. "Why the hell is another pack hunting someone in my territory? It doesn't make sense! Serenity." I nearly jumped out of my skin at my name. "Do you know who the men are that were chasing you?" I shook my head. "No I don't." Blake looked at me and Keith came and sat back down in his chair. "Serenity, I know you don't know us very well but we need your story. Everything." I looked down sadly. "I can't. I'm sorry but I really can't. If they made it here then I need to leave. I'm sorry I brought this into your town." I said looking up at Keith. Keith nodded in understanding. "But Keith..." Keith snarled at Blake. "You are my daughters mate and a guest in my house, but this is still my house Alpha Blake." Blake's look turned a little cold but he nodded. He then rose from his chair and stalked out of the office. "I really am sorry sir. For all the trouble I've caused." I said looking down at my hands. Keith got up out of his chair and came around to stand in front of me. He lifted my chin gently and looked at me softly. "Trust me, it's nothing we can't handle. You however I am concerned about. Do you have any understanding of who the men were that were chasing you?" I shook my head. "All I know is I have shot more than one of them more than once and they still keep coming." He nodded in understanding. "They will and I have a feeling that the ones that Blake killed will certainly be replaced with more. I know you want to leave as soon as possible but might I suggest you spend at least one night here. You can rest properly before leaving in the morning and I promise no one will stop you when you do." I nodded. "Thank you that would be nice." He smiled happily. "Well then, now that is settled lets head down stairs and get you something to eat hey?" I smiled and got up from the chair.

We made it down stairs and Keith led me to the kitchen where it seemed everyone else had started to congregate. Blake was standing next to Stephanie and nodded respectfully towards Keith. Stephanie stepped away and walked over to me grabbing my hand. "Come on mum's cooking scrambled eggs and French toast!" I laughed at her enthusiasm. She really was infectious. "Honey you can wait, guests first my dear." Stephanie groaned. "Awww but mum!!" everyone laughed including me. It almost felt normal here. I took a seat at the counter near the others as I watched Clarisa zoom about the kitchen. The boys had started to talk amongst themselves and Stephanie claimed the seat right next to me. "So dad didn't go scaring you off did he?" I smiled at her. "No not yet at least." We both laughed and I watched Keith walked behind the counter and pinch a piece of the toast while he thought Clarisa wasn't looking. He stuffed it quickly in his mouth but not before Clarisa could swing around and smack him on the hand with the spatula. Stephanie and I both laughed at the same time.

It wasn't long before every migrated to the table and sat down with plates in front of them. We all started eating in between conversations. I sat and listened as they talked about stuff I couldn't understand. They talked about border patrols, training sessions and who should lead the patrols. I found it all interesting even though I didn't have the faintest clue about what was going. I happily stuffed more food in my mouth and watched Stephanie devour hers. It wasn't long before we were all finished and one by one they got up from the table. Everyone put their dishes in the sink and left. It wasn't long before it was just Stephanie, Clarisa and I left. I got up from my seat and took the dishes over to the sink. I put my plate in with the other dishes and automatically started to fill the sink with water to wash them. "Oh sweet heart you don't have to do that!" Clarisa said getting up from her seat. I smiled at her. "It's ok I don't mind really. You cooked such a beautiful meal and I'm more than happy to wash up." Stephanie giggled and put her hand over her mouth as her mother glared at her quickly. "No sweet heart what I mean is we have a dishwasher." Clarisa smiled at me. Oh, well that would make sense if you're feeding so many mouths all the time. I turned the tap off and smiled. "Sorry I'm just so used to using the sink I forget that some people have dishwashers." I blushed slightly with embarrassment. Clarisa cleared her throat. "Stephanie, why don't you take Serenity up stairs and show her where she will sleep tonight while I load the dishwasher." Stephanie bounced up from her seat. "Sure mum! Come on your going to completely love this." She said as she grabbed my hand and dragged out of the kitchen.

Stephanie threw open the bedroom door and skipped inside. "Da daaa! What do you think." She said with her arms out in the air. I stepped in and gapped. The room was huge. There were double glass doors that led to a balcony, a walk in robe that I could never fill in my dreams, a bed that looked like it could fit me and about four of the big guys wondering around this place. The carpet was so soft to walk on that I think I would actually be able to sleep on. Then there was the bathroom. The bathroom was the size of the room I had been staying in at the motel. Everything was shiny and new looking with everything I could need already sitting in place. "I have never... And I mean never...Seen anything like this in my life!" Stephanie clapped her hands together. "So you like it?" I snorted. "Like it!? I love it! This room is beautiful Stephanie." She bounced over to me and hugged me tight. "Good because you and I are going to have a serious talk tonight and I want this to be your room if you agree after we talk. I sighed and turned to protest. "Don't even think about it Serenity. I said tonight ok? So no arguing with me until then ok?" I smiled at her. "Ok you win for now." She hugged me tightly again before letting go. "Ok I have to go for now so make yourself at home and I will be back soon." I watched her walk out the door and close it. Looking back at the room I wondered what to do. My eyes fell on the bed. I had too. I really had too.

The bed bounced softly underneath me as I flopped down onto it. It is so soft and comfortable that I don't think I will be able to get up from it. It almost felt like lying on a cloud. I know I'm going to enjoy sleeping here tonight. I sat up after a little while and decided to check out the balcony while I had the chance. Walking over I notice the sky had darkened a little and wondered what the time could be. I opened the doors and step out onto the balcony. It wasn't huge but there was more than enough room for multiple people to sit around on it. I step up to the railing and place my hands on the top as I look out over the grounds in front of me. It was beautiful. There was a large grassed area where chairs were scattered about that people had clearly been using and just beyond that was three large circle areas with what appeared to be sand in them. I looked at them wondering what they were used for. The centre circle was the largest from what I could tell with the other two sitting either side being slightly smaller. Just behind them was what looked like a large square pergola made of wood. There were benches lined up on there like they were for watching what ever happened in the circles. Looking out further from there I could see some scattered house and a lot of forest. It was actually quite a peaceful looking scenery. I sighed lightly and walked back inside the room closing the doors behind me.

A soft knock on the door drew me out of my thoughts. I walked over and opened the door. There was a young looking guy I had seen before standing there. "Sorry miss for the intrusion but the alpha has asked for your presence." I looked at him a little confused but nodded anyway. "Where do I have to go?" He stepped back slightly. "If you would follow me I will take you to him now." I stepped out the door and pulled it closed. I followed him through the maze of areas in the house to the office where I had first met Keith. We stopped at the doors and he knocked on them before stepping around me and leaving. One of the doors opened and Clarisa looked at me and smiled. "Come in sweet heart." I stepped through and saw Keith sitting in his chair behind the desk again. Stephanie was sitting on a sofa next Blake with one of the guys from the cafe standing next to them. Clarisa walked over and sat just on the edge of the desk next to her husband. In a chair off in the corner behind Keith sat another man I didn't know. Keith gestured to the chair I had sat in earlier that day. When I walked over and went to sit down Stephanie got up from the sofa and came and sat down next to me in the other chair. She looked at me caringly which concerned me a little. "I have some news that may upset you a little Serenity." I looked over at Keith. "The people that have been chasing you have contacted us." I flinched at that. Now I definitely had to leave. "When we were contacted we were threatened with war, which in our society is not something to be taken lightly. Now what I am going to explain to you won't make complete sense at this point but Stephanie has agreed to explain everything to you after so you can understand it all better." Keith stopped for a second to make sure I had registered what he said. I nodded for him to continue. "When war is threatened in our society we are under obligation to inform the council. They are overseers of sorts for our people. When we informed them of what was happening they ordered us to bring you before them and the other pack leaders in five days time. While you are with us you are under our protection and no one is able to neither touch you nor remove you from our care. This is all under order via the council. The order has been issued to all pack leaders including the one that has been hunting you for the last few years. Over the next few days we will do our best to prepare you for what will happen when you are brought before the council. The first thing we do need to do though is get you some new clothes for set occasion which will be held while at council." I nodded trying to absorb everything that Keith was saying. "I know this is a lot, but we will keep you safe so long as you are with us." I couldn't even say anything, so all I did was nod.

Stephanie grabbed my hand to get my attention. When I looked at her she looked concerned for me. I smiled slightly at her to let her I was kind of ok and she seemed to get. "Come on I'll take you back up stairs and fill you in a little more ok?" I stood up from the chair and followed her to the doors. Just before we stepped out I turned back to Keith and the others. "Thank you. All of you." Keith looked up and nodded. "You're welcome Serenity." And with that Stephanie and I walked out the doors. She led me back p through the house to my room and opened the door.

I stepped through first and walked to the bed where I sat on the edge. Stephanie closed the door and turned around and looked at me. She walked over and sat down on the bed next to me. "You can't leave." She stated. I looked at her. "What do you mean?" She smiled sideways at me. "I haven't known you that long but I do know that look. You can't run again Serenity. If you run this time every pack from here to the middle of nowhere will be hunting you not just a few good trackers from one pack." I stared at her for a second. "What do you mean by pack? I have heard you all mention that a few times and I still don't get it." Stephanie looked down at her hands for a minute before looking back up at me. "I'm a werewolf Serenity. My whole family is and so are the people in town. The people chasing you are also werewolves. A pack is the term given to a large group of werewolves that live together in a community of sorts. My father is the Alpha of this pack and my mother is the Luna." This got my attention. "Wait...Dave at the cafe called you Luna?" She smiled at that. "He did. My mate is Blake and he is the Alpha of another pack so that makes me a Luna as well." Another thing came to mind at that as well. "Hey Blake mentioned something to your father about rogues?" Stephanie's smile faded a little. "Rogues are werewolves that don't belong to a pack or follow an Alpha...Normally." Stephanie got up off the bed and started to pace.

"When I was younger I had met a young wolf near to the small lake that sits in the middle of our territory from which our pack is named. He was alone and bathing in the pool. I watched him for a few minutes before I stepped out and asked him what he thought he was doing. He rushed out of the water and pinned me to tree snarling at me. He must have thought it would frighten me but it didn't. I have an older brother who adores me. He always has and always will. Any way he had taught me to defend myself from a young age. So that's what I did. I defended myself. Long story short, he dropped me and we actually became friends. For years we would sneak out to the pool and meet. When I turned eighteen I met my mate." She smiled dreamily. "I was so excited that the first chance I got I rushed to the pool to meet Chase. He was already there. I told him about Blake and how happy I felt. I thought he would be happy for me too. I was wrong. It turned out that he had also met his mate just before I did but he had in his head for some reason that it was wrong and that I was meant to be his mate. So he lost it. He tried to take from the pool but I screamed. Thankfully the border patrol was nearby running down rogue tracks. They came to the rescue but as he took off he threatened that he would be back and that I would be his. I was taken home and Blake came to stay with us. Once I turn twenty I will be heading back to Blake's pack with him where I will be the Luna."

Stephanie stopped talking and looked at me sadly. Wow and I thought I had a sad story. Her supposed friend wanted to take something special away from her. "So this Chase, he is a rogue?" She nodded and walked back over to sit with me. "My mum died." I said sadly. Stephanie looked up at me shocked. I smiled at her sadly. "It's ok. She was really sick in the end. She died from cancer." Stephanie hugged me. "I'm sorry Serenity." I smiled at her. "My story is a little strange and to be honest I don't fully understand it. My mother was the lover of some powerful guy that I never met or knew the name of. Mum always told me that I could never know him. His wife knew about us but he had protected us from her somehow. We were hidden away in an apartment in the city. When we learned that mum was sick she started to worry about what would happen to me so she came up with this plan to keep me as safe as she could. We put money away every week so that when she passed I wouldn't need for anything. She came up with a list of things that would be simple enough to carry but would also cover me while I was on the run. She told me that when she passed away I would have no choice but to run. I was too much of a threat to my father's wife for her to allow me to live apparently. The day my mother passed away the nurses contacted my father to tell him and it wasn't long before the first lot of men arrived. They came to the hospital and that's when I started to run. Four years ago."

Stephanie looked at me sadly and hugged me again. "Seems we were really meant to be friends. Friends in sorrow." We both laughed softly. "Yeah I think we were." We sat there in silence for a few minutes when suddenly Stephanie sat up in a panic. "Wait! Oh my god why didn't I see it before!" I looked up at her shocked. "See what before?" She looked down at me with wide eyes. "You! What was your mother's name?" I looked at her a little confused. "Her name was Isabella. Why?" Stephanie's eyes went wide and she bolted from the room. "Stephanie! Wait, Stephanie!" I got up from the bed and ran after her. We ran through the halls and straight to her father's office. The doors were open and she looked around frantically. "I have to find dad. Come on." She grabbed my hand and dragged back through the house and down stairs. She dragged me into what looked like a theatre room. If I had know this was here I would have came down earlier. "Dad! Dad!" Everyone in here stopped talking and looked as Stephanie pulled me along to her father. "Dad! Look at Serenity! I mean really look at her." He frowned at her his daughter but looked at me intensely.

Others had started to stare at me too at this point making me feel uncomfortable. "I don't see what I am supposed to be noticing Stephanie?" He said looking back at her confused. Clarisa had stepped forward and was still looking at me intensely like she could see something but couldn't quiet place it. "Dad her mother's name was Isabella..." Her mother's face fell open as realisation seemed to hit her. Her father's head flung back around to look at me and Blake had appeared at Stephanie's side from nowhere. "It's not possible..." I looked at Clarisa confused. Tears started to form in her eyes as she stepped closer to me. She reached out her hand and touched my face as she looked into my eyes. Others had walked closer to see more of what was going on. The man that had been sitting in the corner of the office earlier stepped up next to Keith. "Alpha, if this is Isabella's daughter we need to make a call." Keith nodded while still in a trance. Clarisa still had her hand against my cheek. "I can find out for sure. But she is her mother Keith. Her eyes and her face, everything about her." Keith looked at his wife. "Do it Clarisa, but do it quick. We may have to go early to the council if she is." Clarisa smiled gently at me. "Serenity I need you to follow me for minute. I promise nothing we are about to do will hurt you but before I can explain more we need to make sure you are who we think you are sweet heart." Although shocked I agreed and followed Clarisa down stairs to a basement.

We walked through a narrow passageway until we reached a dark wooden door. Clarisa stopped and turned to look at me while resting her hand on the door handle. "Before we enter here I need to explain a couple of things to you Serenity. Firstly, I'm not a werewolf. I'm a witch. Your mother and I were connected through our craft. We were blood sisters of sorts. Although not related through birth we were trained together as sisters by our tutor. Secondly, everything that happens in here is safe. I refuse to touch any of the dark magic's. We were taught to never use them as they can colour a person's soul black and end up turning them into something unimaginable. And finally, what I am about to do with you is a simple test to confirm whether you are definitely Isabella's daughter. Well the Isabella that we know." I nodded at her understanding most of it. "What if I'm not her daughter? Will that change anything that is going to happen with the council?" She smiled at me gently. "No sweet heart unfortunately it will not. However if you are Isabella's daughter it could end up changing everything. But for now let's just find out if you are, hey?" I smiled at her and nodded. "Let's get this over with then." Clarisa smiled at me proudly and turned the door handle opening the door.

We stepped through the door and I expected to see some dark cellar with candles and strange herbs hanging all around. However it wasn't like that at all. It was brightly lit by ceiling lights and there was shelving lined up neatly along the walls. The shelves held jars which were full of different things. In the centre of the room on a pedestal sat what looked like an intricately designed bowl. We stepped up to and I looked in. It was partly full with crystal clear water. Clarisa looked at me. "It's water from the pool in the middle of our territory. The pack has been here centuries and was named after it, Crystal pool. So the water in the pool holds some very powerful properties that once combined with my craft can create very strong magic. Even more so since I am also Luna of the pack." I looked at her in awe. She smiled proudly.

Clarisa walked away and grabbed a couple of things before returning. "Ok we need a small drop of your blood and a single strand of your hair sweet heart." She held a needle out to me which I took. She then gently pulled a hair from my head and placed it into the water in the bowl. I stuck the needle into my finger and watched as a drop of blood formed on the surface. Clarisa took my finger and dipped it into the water with the hair."Ok now for one last thing." She produced a small photo from her pocket. I looked at it shocked. It was a picture of my mother when she was younger and much healthier looking. She was standing with her arm around the shoulders of a younger looking Clarisa. They both looked so happy and care free I couldn't help but smile. "I never got to see my mother like that." Clarisa looked at me a little surprised then her face softened. "My dear if this turns out the way we suspect I promise to show you a lot more like these."She said sincerely. She placed the photo in the bowl upside down before saying a small chant. She then lit the contents on fire which burned bright blue for a second before going out. The photo hadn't completely burnt up it was just the edges. Clarisa removed the photo without looking at it. She then stood there and watched the bowl for a moment. I looked in trying to see what she was waiting for. The water in the bowl slowly but clearly started to turn bright blue just like the flames had been.

I looked at Clarisa and noticed that she had tears starting to roll silently down her cheeks. She then turned the photo up and looked at it. Across the photo was delicately written a series of names. Harmony, Steven, Stephanie and Serenity. Three of the names were written across the face of young Clarisa and my name was the only one listed across my mother's. Clarisa lowered the picture and looked me with sadness. "Oh honey..." She pulled me into a tight hug and just held me crying. "All this time you've been alone when you could have been safe with family...I'm so sorry sweet heart, we should have been there for you." I wrapped my arms around her and felt a tear run down my cheek. I hadn't even realised that I had started to cry. "It's ok. No one knew I existed as far as I know. Mum kept as fairly secluded from people and barely spoke to anyone. You couldn't have helped if you did know." She pulled back and smiled sadly. "Well that changes as of now. This will be your new home and goddess forbids if anyone tries to harm you under my care I will kill them myself." She said firmly. I laughed lightly at her comment. Straightening herself up and wiping the tears away she took a deep breath. "Well, now that's done, I suppose we should go and let everyone else know. They are probably sitting up there frantic." She laughed. "Let's go then." I said with a smile.

We walked back into the theatre room laughing about a story Clarisa had been telling me about my mother when they were children. We stopped suddenly when we looked and noticed everyone standing looking at us intently. My eyes widened and Clarisa just smiled happily. "It seems my niece has come to stay with us for awhile." She beamed. Keith's head flew in my direction with his eyes wide as saucers. Stephanie squealed loudly and threw herself at me. I laughed as she collided into me. The other men in the room all stepped up beside Keith and started to look concerned. My smile faded a little looking at them as Stephanie let me go. Blake cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "Alpha Keith..." Keith nodded while still looking at me. "I know. We have to call them." I frowned a little confused. "Call who?" I asked. Clarisa's smile faulted for a second as she looked from Keith to me. "The council...And your grandfather..." I looked at her shocked. "W...Who?" She took a deep breath before repeating. "Your grandfather Sweet heart. He's a member of the council. After your grandmother passed away, your mother went missing and ever since your grandfather has been obsessed with finding her. Every pack was notified and told to contact the council if she was ever seen. So we need to notify them as soon as possible." I nodded a little shocked still. "Wont her grandfather want her to stay with him?" Blake asked. "No." Keith replied. "It's forbidden to have anyone other than your mate with you at council. It reduces the risks of putting the council in jeopardy during attacks but it also reduces having to many Alphas in one place at any given time, given the fact that most are retired Alphas of still functioning packs." Blake nodded. "Clarisa, can you please take the girls up stairs and pack. I have a feeling that we may have to leave earlier than expected." And with that Keith walked out and up the stairs to his office with Blake behind him.

We were sitting on Stephanie's bed as Clarisa rummaged through her closet pulling out different out fits, dresses and shoes. I was amazed by how much clothing Stephanie actually had. I figured that she would have a lot more than me but I never thought she would have enough to fill her own clothing store. "MUM!!" Stephanie yelled to get her attention. "We really don't need to take the entire wardrobe you know." Clarisa stepped out and looked at her daughter. "Firstly you know full well that you will need at least three different outfits and that's only if we are there for a couple of days. Secondly, you are a future Luna so you have to present yourself as such and thirdly... I was also looking for some things for Serenity to wear miss so mind your tone with me young lady." She flit back into the closet and continued on her rampage through Stephanie's cloths. Stephanie giggled and rolled her eyes. "You are not going to know what hit you by the time my mother finishes with you." She grabbed her stomach and leaned back laughing hard. My eyes went wide and I started to panic a little. I didn't know the first thing about wearing dresses...Or high heels for that fact. Neither was practical for running so I had never worn either of them.

Finally Clarisa seemed to feel some satisfaction with what she had found and stepped out of the closet. I had lain back on the bed by this point and Stephanie had flopped down onto the floor. Stephanie sat up and looked at her mother while I turned my head sideways to watch them both. "Did you find everything mum?" Clarisa huffed. "No. I found dress suit for both of you to wear during the formal period of council, and I also found some casual jeans and shirts for both of you to wear in free time, but I had no luck finding satisfy dresses for you both to wear on the formal evening before everything opens up to discussions." She placed her hands on her hips and looked at the scattered clothing. "We will just have to go buy two dresses for you both." Just as she said that someone cleared the throat at the doorway. "I'm sorry Luna, but there won't be enough time for that." We all looked over to the door and I sat up on the bed. "John? What do you mean?" He bowed his head to her politely. "I'm afraid the council has ordered us to leave immediately and to bring Serenity before them as soon as possible." Clarissa sighed heavily. "Very well. In that case we will stop on our way and buy what we can for the two girls. Please let Keith know that we are ready." John bowed his head in respect and walked away. "Alright girls I think we should be heading down." Clarisa smiled at us. She walked over and helped me up from the bed and helped Stephanie up off the floor. We headed out the door and down stairs to meet up with the others.

Blake was there with his beta who I hadn't met officially yet and Keith was already there with his beta as well. There were also about six other men standing around the front door waiting on us all. "Alright the men have already loaded the cars with all the luggage and everything has been set here so that the pack can continue to function as normal. I have asked John to hold the fort here while I take Christoff in his place. Blake and Jason will be attending with us while Blake's father holds the fort down at their pack. So, are you ready ladies?" Clarisa stepped up smiling and took her husband's arm. "Of course we are dear. Ladies are always ready on time in this house hold, you know that." She smiled up at him. The men in the back ground laughed until Clarisa threw them a stern look over her shoulder. They coughed and turned their heads in different directions trying to avoid her look. I couldn't help but smile at it. This tiny lady could scare a room full of monsters with a simple look. It made me wondered if Stephanie would one day be the same once she was Luna.

We all walked out the front door and headed to the cars that were lined up in front of the house. Blake opened the door of one of the cars and Stephanie smiled at him sweetly before sliding in. Blake then looked towards me and motioned for me to climb in beside Stephanie. I slid into the back seat and put my seatbelt on as Clarisa climbed in on the other side. Blake and Keith then got in the front of the car with Keith behind the steering wheel. I watched men climb in the other cars before Keith finally started the engine. One of the other cars pulled out of the drive with Keith following behind, all the other cars then followed behind. We drove down the long driveway towards town.
