Chapter Three

At some point during the long drive I must have fallen asleep because when I opened my eyes I didn't recognise the surroundings. We were driving into a really small town that appeared almost empty. Stephanie stretched and almost smacked me in the face as she yawned. "Oh my goddess, sorry Serenity." She said as she placed her hand over her mouth giggling. Clarisa looked at us both and rolled her eyes. "I'm so glad the two of you managed to sleep all night. We had to sit here listening to the pair of you snoring like chainsaws." We both smiled at her apologetically. "Blake, could we please stop up here near that dress store? We still need to get dress for the two girls." Blake started to slow down and indicate to pull off the road. "Of course. We can't have them running around in jeans and shirts the whole time." He said with a smirk on his face. This time I rolled my eyes. The only person wearing jeans and a shirt was me. Stephanie was dressed beautifully in a dress suite that fitted every curve of her perfectly and Clarisa was wearing dress pants with a formal looking dress shirt. Clarisa tsked at him and Keith just laughed gently. It was strange to hear him laugh really. I had appeared so serious but gentle ever since I met him so to see him relaxed was refreshing.

The car came to a complete stop and Blake turned the engine. He turned slightly and looked back at us. "Would you like us to come along or just wait here?" Clarisa undid her belt and smiled at him. "You, mister, can wait here. If you are worried though I am happy to take one or two of the other men with us?" Keith turned back to his wife. "I've already mind linked Christoff, he will be going with you while the rest of us wait." Clarisa nodded and climbed out of the car. She ducked her head back down and looked at Stephanie and me. "Well come on you two we don't have time to waste." She then closed the door and started walking around the car to head towards the dress store. I opened my door and climbed out with Stephanie right behind me. We followed Clarisa up to the store with Christoff right on our heels.

The door dinged as we walked through and a young girl came out to meet us from the back. "How can I help today ladies?" Clarisa beamed at her. "I need two formal dresses for my girls." The girl smiled and nodded as she looked us both up and down. "I think I have a couple that would suite them perfectly. So who should we start with then?" I quickly pointed at Stephanie. "Her! Definitely her." Clarisa looked at me and smiled Stephanie however groaned loudly. "Go Stephanie and don't forget to walk out and show me please? You know the routine dear." She gently nudged Stephanie towards the girl and they disappeared out the back. Clarisa went and sat down on a chair and patted the free spot next to her. I walked over and sat down. "Now would you like to explain to me what that little panic was about sweet heart?" I swallowed and looked down at my hands. "To be honest, I've never been to a dress store before. I've never worn a formal dress in my life." Clarisa patted my hand gently. "It's ok sweet heart. There's nothing to be afraid of and you will look stunning in a dress. I can already see it." She smiled at me reassuringly. "What if I trip? What if I tare the dress!?" Clarisa just pulled me to her. "You will be fine. You have all the grace of your mother in you and that woman could float on water in a dress so you will be exactly the same." I smiled at her thankfully for the kind words and returned the hug.

We got distracted from our conversation by Stephanie as she stepped out in a beautiful looking pink gown. It flattered her perfectly. There was a single strap that went up over her right shoulder that was delicately adorned with silver thread in a swirl like pattern. The bust of the dress was scattered softly with small diamantes that sparkled nicely as she moved. The lower part of the dress flowed like water around her as she stepped. I could only stare at her amazed. Clarisa smiled proudly at her daughter and got up from the chair. She walked over and grabbed Stephanie's hands. "Perfect. Absolutely perfect." Stephanie smiled confidently at her mum. I couldn't help but smile at the two of them myself they looked so happy. Stephanie looked past her mum and eyed me. "Your turn now Serenity. Up you get it's time for you to try on what we picked out for you to try first." Her smile broadened at that thought and my smile faulted a little. I was terrified.

I walked behind the curtain with Stephanie and the sale girl almost shaking. Stephanie stopped and the girl unzipped the back of her dress so Stephanie could step out of it. "Alright your turn miss. I need you to take of the shirt and jean so we can make sure the dress is a proper fit please?" She turned away from me so I could undress. She hung Stephanie's dress up in a dress bag before turning back to me. "Ok so Stephanie thought blue would be the best fit for you and after seeing your eyes I couldn't agree more. This I think will be perfect for you as long as it fits correctly." She held out a soft dark blue gown and I was amazed. The material was so soft it would almost feel like I was wearing nothing. The girl lowered the dress and opened it up so that I could step into it carefully. She slid the gown up my body and then walked behind me while I held the front of the dress in place. She zipped the gown up slowly and as she did I could feel the fabric cling to my torso. It didn't flow outwards like Stephanie's but where my legs were I would be able to move freely. There were no straps to hold the dress in place but the fit was so perfect that the dress didn't need them. She turned me around so I could look in the mirror. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The girl looking back at me didn't even resemble the girl I was used to seeing.

My hair hung loose and free against my shoulders and back highlighting my pale skin which made it look like it shimmered. The dark blue of the dress made the ice blue of my eyes stand out and seem to spark. My figure was made to stand out by the fit of the dress. It showed every curve I had from my bust to my hips. I hadn't realised when I had changed from a young teen to a woman because of the clothes I wore all the time, but this dress showed nothing but a woman's body. I turned different areas of my body so I could really see how perfectly the dress fit me. The material was so perfect as well. It moved with me almost as if it were a second skin which made me feel more at ease with wearing it. There splashes of diamantes across the hem of the dress that sparkled slightly with each movement and the bust had even smaller ones that looked more like the soft splashes from a river fall. I finally stopped looking at myself in the mirror and nodded to the girl to let me out to show Clarisa and Stephanie. She smiled kindly at me and opened the curtain.

I stepped through and watched as Stephanie and Clarisa stopped talking and turned to look at me. Stephanie slapped a hand over her mouth as he eyes went wide while taking in everything she saw. Clarisa started to get tears as she rose from the chair and walked towards me. It was then that I also noticed Christoff's reaction. He had been leaning on a wall in the background silently through everything until then. He stepped forward with his mouth open amazed at what he saw. I couldn't help but blush and look away from them all slightly. Clarisa stopped in front of me and gently took my chin in her hand. She turned my face back to look at her and lifted my chin gently. "You are your mother's daughter in every way. You are to hold your head high my girl and carry yourself with pride because I know if your mother was standing here today with you right now she would never be prouder or happier to see the beautiful woman that you have grown into." She then wrapped me up in her arms as tears fell down both our faces. I couldn't help but wish as I wrapped my arms back around her that this was a moment that I could have shared with her.

The sale girl placed both the dress on the counter in their respective dress bags as Clarisa sorted out paying for them. I stood quietly next to Stephanie as she twirled her hair around her finger. I giggled at as I watched her get her finger stuck. "Hey it's not funny." She said slapping me playfully with her other hand. "Oh it really is." I laughed. Clarisa looked back at us and rolled her eyes. "You know, no one would guess the pair of you are almost twenty." Clarisa stated. I stopped and my face dropped. Oh my god it had already been three days. Stephanie looked at me a little confused. I half smiled at her. "Are you ok Serenity?" I nodded smiling. "Yeah I'm fine." I said as Clarisa grabbed the dress and passed them to Christoff. Stephanie squinted her eyes at me for a second then shrugged and let it go. I knew it wouldn't be the end of it but hopefully it would be for a while at least. We followed Clarisa out the door of the store and back to the waiting cars. Most of the men had climbed out and were standing around talking. Clarisa stepped up to Keith and placed her hand against his chest as she kissed him tenderly. He smiled at her. Stephanie walked over to Blake and wrapped her arms around him. The men started to climb back into the cars and Blake once again opened the car door for us.

We started the drive again and pulled out of the town in almost silence. Blake had been on the phone to his father about something that was happening back at his pack. Once he hung up Stephanie sat forward slightly and touched his arm. "Is everything ok?" He looked back at her a little frustrated. "Yes and no. My sister thinks she may know who her mate is finally." Stephanie tilted her head sideways. "Wouldn't that be a good thing?" He raised his eyebrows. "It would be if she wasn't only ten and claiming it is her big brothers beta." Stephanie lost it laughing. "Oh my god that is hilarious!!" Blake frowned at her. "No it's not. Do you know how long I've been trying to get my little sister to leave Jason alone for?" Even I giggled at that. Poor guy had a ten year old with a crush on him. "Really? Now you're both going to laugh at that?" We laughed harder. "Well you have to admit, your sister has good taste." Stephanie howled with laughter. Poor Blake looked like he was about to explode. "Now Stephanie, you know it's never a smart move to antagonise an Alpha, never mind one that also happens to be your mate." Keith said from the front. I did however notice that Clarisa seemed to be sitting trying to smother her own laugh. I couldn't help it, I started laughing again with them. It was infectious and the look on Blake's face was really quiet funny.

The car had settled down a little and everyone was talking about different things. Blake and Keith were talking about pack stuff while Stephanie, Clarisa and I had started talking about the different clothes that had been packed. I truthfully had never thought I would be sitting and talking casually with other woman about clothing but I needed to know that some of the stuff packed would actually be comfortable for me to wear. "Clarisa will there be any where that I can run or work out while we are there?" She looked over at me. "Of course. There's training rings and more than enough space to go running or walking if you wanted to." She smiled. "In that case did you happen to get my yoga pants and tank tops?" I asked cringing inwardly. "Yes I did." She smiled brightly at me. I breathed a sigh of relief. At least I could keep in shape while we were there. Even though they promised to help keep me safe I couldn't help but want to be prepared. I had already been running so long and I had this routine going with working out so I figured it would be safer and smarter to stick with it.

The cars started to slow and we looked out the windows as we passed through two large wrought iron gates. In front of us was a giant house that looked like it was extremely old. Most of the house was made from stone giving it a castle like appearance. The cars pulled up to a stop near the front of it. I noticed other cars parked further away in lines grouped together. "Seems some of the other packs have already made it." Keith said seriously as he looked at the cars as well. Blake climbed out and opened the back doors so we could get out. The men in the other cars stayed with the engines running. Christoff walked out over and joined us with another man who climbed into the driver's seat after Keith got out. "The men are going to park the cars and take everything in for us Alpha." Keith nodded solemnly. Keith reached his hand out Clarisa who stepped forward and took it. They then led us up the stairs to a man waiting with front door open. "Alphas, Lunas...And... Guest. The council is waiting inside for your initial appearance, if you would follow me please?"

The man led us through a maze of passageways that I was sure I would get lost in if ever I was left alone in them. We walked for what felt like a good five minutes before reaching a simple white wooden door. The man that led us proceeded to push the door open and step through. Keith and Clarisa followed him as he announced our arrival. We stepped through directly behind Keith and Clarisa. I was surprised by the size of the room that stretched before us. It was clean and brightly lit with a long table sitting in the middle of it. There were nine men sitting at the far end of the table waiting for us. Four of the nine rose from the table to greet us while the others remained seated. Although the men that remained seated were significantly older than the ones that rose. "Alphas." Keith bowed formally. They bowed back and motioned for us all to sit. Everyone took a seat and one of the older men cleared their throat to speak. "Thank you for coming so promptly Keith. So I am assuming this is the young lady in question at the moment?" He said nodding his head in my direction. Keith nodded. "It is. We were unaware of her situation until the other night when she was the only one available to help my daughter." This drew the attention of another man. "You mean to say your daughter is still being pursued by this rogue?" Keith nodded again. "Yes she is. However circumstances have also changed on that front as well which I was hoping to raise with you all at a later point while we were here if that was possible?" The man nodded. "If there is time then yes we can address this issue as well." Keith nodded.

The first man that spoke looked over at me analysing me as he did. I calmly stared back at him allowing him to do whatever it was that he thought he needed to do. "Young lady, Keith has informed us of your story and how you came to meet his daughter. I would like to know from you though exactly how long you have been running from...These men...That have been hunting you." I placed my hands in my lap and looked down for a second. "I have been constantly on the move for the last four years sir." He sat back in his chair as his eyes widened slightly. "And are you aware of any reason for them to be hunting you?" I shook my head. "No I don't. The only thing my mother ever told me was that I posed some kind of threat to the wife of my father." He nodded as he took in the information I provided. "Thank you for being open and honest with us. Now as to the information obtained from Clarisa as to who your mother is I would like for Stephanie to take you and help you dress appropriately for you to meet the final member of our council." I looked at him a little confused. "Trust me it is important for you to do this and I will allow Stephanie to explain a little before you meet him." Stephanie nodded and rose from the table quickly. She reached a hand out to me and I stood taking it. I allowed her to lead me from the room in silence.

We walked back through some of the passages that we had already walked through before Stephanie turned off from them and led me in a different direction. "Ok so the final member you will be meeting is a very important member of the council. He leads the council in all decision making processes and then has them issued out to the packs if any laws are being broken. Every pack respects his leadership and he is always fair in his decisions. He is the Alpha or Alphas as such. His position will not change until the day he passes away." My eyes went a little wide at the information as we approached a door. Stephanie stopped and opened it then walked through. I stepped in behind her and she closed the door. She looked at me with a little concern in her eyes. "You must be as respectful as you were in the council room. He lost his mate a long time ago and is the only known Alpha at this point to have not only survived the loss but maintained his sanity afterwards. However this can make him slightly easier to aggravate." I nodded in understanding.

Stephanie pulled some formal pants and a simple white blouse out of one of our suite cases that the men had brought up while we were in talking with the council members. She placed them on the bed then went looking for a pair of shoes. Half way through she looked up at me. "I think you should take a shower as well. Best be fully prepared and presentable. The bathroom is through there." She said pointing towards a door. I walked over and opened the door. The bathroom here was almost as large as the one back at Stephanie's although simpler in design. There was no bath tub but the shower looked like I could sleep in that instead. I closed the door and stripped my clothes off before adjusting the water in the shower. I climbed in and moaned in bliss at the pressure of the water. Not only was it superbly hot but the pressure was like a massage the entire way down my body. I rinsed myself and then forced myself to get out of the shower just as there was a knock on the door. "Hurry up Serenity! A couple of other packs have arrived and they want us all to meet down stairs." I wrapped the towel around me and stepped out into the room. "I thought I was meeting the last council member though?" Stephanie was sitting on the bed pulling her shoes on. "You are, but another pack has brought some information that has everyone in an uproar down there. Mum linked me to tell me to get our asses down stairs." My eyes widened and I rushed over to the bed to get dressed.

We were dressed and heading down a flight of stairs when we almost ran into Blake coming back up. "Thank goddess! The last pack has arrived...Blood moon." He said staring straight at Stephanie. Her breathed hitched in her throat as I looked at them both. "They came?" She said looking concerned. "Yes, and they aren't in the best of moods. It seems on their way here they ran into a pack that was supposed be attending and a fight broke out. On top of that there were rogues with them..." Stephanie looked worried and Blake reached out and took her hand. "It's ok Blood moon dealt with both but they are demanding answers as to what's going on. So we need to get down stairs and quick." Stephanie nodded and looked at me. "You're about to get a crash course in how to attend a council summit on the way." I frowned at her. "There's a difference to what happened earlier?" I asked. Stephanie grabbed my hand and started dragging me down the stairs quickly behind Blake. "Yes. What happened earlier was only a formal meeting. What's happening down stairs is a summit. All the packs will be in attendance. We are to strictly stay silent unless directly spoken too. You answer questions with quick simple answers and you must not lie. Every Alpha in the room will know if someone lies and the penalty for lying at a summit varies on the severity of the lie. It can stretch from banishment to death. Do you understand Serenity? My father can not intervene if you or I lie if spoken too." I blinked quickly processing what she just said. "Ok. I get it...I think..."

We stepped off the bottom step into the first room we had entered when we arrived and it was packed. There were people scattered around everywhere talking loudly and arguing. A large group of men were standing with the council members and Keith while others were just trying o get close enough to listen and be heard. I noticed a group of men slightly away from them covered in blood and some were supporting others who looked like they had been injured. When I looked back at Keith he was looking at me with another man I didn't recognise. His icy blue eyes pierced mine and I saw fear, happiness and shock run through them all in a split second. His face softened and I could tell he had started to drown out some of the voices near him. Him and Keith seemed to excuse themselves from the group and made their way towards me and Stephanie. The men that remained continued to talk loudly at each other as they got closer. Keith stopped with the man right in front of me and Stephanie. "Serenity, I would like to introduce Alpha Noah, leader of the council...And your grandfather..." It felt like my heart stopped. He smiled at me softly and I could feel everyone's eyes fall on me as they waited for my reaction.

I tried to step forward to him but my legs had gone weak. My head started to swim and throb painfully. My stomach started to twist and turn making me feel nauseous. My body felt like it was slowly heating up and my vision was getting little dark spots that threatened to take over my eye sight. I reached out instead for Stephanie who grabbed my hand quickly. "Dad what's happening?" I couldn't open my mouth and my stomach clenched tightly doubling me over in pain. Suddenly there was a low growl behind me and I felt arms swing me up into a hard warm chest. "She's shifting." A deep dark voice spoke that I hadn't heard before. The arm's started to carry me away from my grandfather, the only living family I had left and I wanted to cry. A whimper escaped my throat instead though as more pain spread throughout my body. Feeling like liquid larva spreading through my joints and muscles.

The cold air hit me like knives but easing some of the burning at the same time. I could hear voices in the distance but I couldn't focus enough to register what they were saying. The arm's that had carried me laid me gently on the ground and more pain fired through my body as they moved away from me. "It's ok, I'm still here."He said as a spasm ran havoc down my back and caused it to lift off the ground. He stroked his hand across my forehead comfortingly. Everywhere his hand touched it eased the pain in my body a little until I heard a snap in one of my legs. I screamed mostly in shock at the sound. Suddenly I felt another person grab my hand. "Shh, It's alright Serenity just breath we're here for you." I didn't recognise the voice but it was soothing anyway. More snapping sounds escaped my body and I screamed with each one. "Dad why is it taking so long? It shouldn't be this bad!" I heard Stephanie's voice. She sounded terrified for me. "It's her first shift... and she is only part wolf. The process could be longer and more painful for her." Keith replied. I cursed. Great. More pain and my fingers snapped backwards. I screamed again praying that this would be over soon.

At some point my vision completely disappeared and I wanted to cry. The pain continued to worsen and every now and then I could hear voices arguing. "Help her...You can force the shift to finish!" A growl comes out of someone close to me. "I won't force her first shift!" I don't know who it was that spoke but I heard Keith speak at some point. "Ask her what she wants?" I laughed mentally at that. I couldn't even say my own name at the moment and somehow he expected me to be able to answer that question. Suddenly my back snapped upwards and my eyes flew open as I screamed to the heavens in agony. "Please make it stop!!!" I couldn't tell if I had said that out loud or not but the hands that had been taking some of the pain away withdrew from me. I felt tears escape as the pain shot through me worse than before. Suddenly there was something soft against my face. A warm breath fanned against my cheek as a low rumble came through to me and pass the pain. I turned towards it listening. The rumble came again but a little bit more forceful. Then a voice opened up inside my head. "Shift." I didn't understand it. "Shift I said." More snapping sounds came from my body and I cried out again. "Now!" the voice wasn't asking. It was a command and for some reason my body responded with to it without my control. My body shook and popped in places I never thought possible and I screamed out in shock and pain before it finally seemed to stop.

I laid there breathing with my eyes closed allowing my body to ease after all the pain. "Get up, you need to move." The voice was still there. I opened my eyes slowly and looked around. Standing next to me was the biggest damn wolf I had ever seen. He was massively built with completely black fur. It almost blended in with sky as I looked up at him. "I said get up. You need to move or your body won't adjust." My grandfather was kneeling on the ground close to me but at a distance from the wolf. "He's right Serenity. You need to get up and move about in your new body or else the shift won't be complete and every time you shift after this it will only worsen the pain." What did he mean by my new body? I looked down at my hands only to find them replaced with paws! That's what they had been arguing about? I was shifting into a wolf. I gingerly stood up on all four and faced the black wolf. He stepped back to give me a little more room. Stephanie stepped over to me and smiled.

Her hand massaged my shoulders gently and I looked at everyone standing around us. There were a couple of faces I didn't know but most of them I had come to know. Keith was there and Clarisa had come as well. Blake stood near them with a slightly crooked smile on his face and his beta just seemed shocked as hell. Christoff stood there looking at me like he did in the dress store. Did I really look that bad? "On the contrary. You are quiet unique." I looked around trying to work out where the voice in my head was coming from. Keith stepped up and smiled kindly at me. "It's an Alpha thing Serenity. All Alphas can mind link with other wolves. Pack members that aren't Alphas can only communicate with in their pack this way. This is Alpha Marcus, of the Blood moon pack. He is the one that helped you with your transition." I looked at the wolf standing in front of me. That would explain why he was so huge. "I would try not to express your thoughts to much at the moment. It comes through the mind link quiet loudly." I groaned inwardly at this. No more thoughts.

Keith nodded at my grandfather who rose from the ground and cleared his throat. "Stephanie would you mind taking Serenity for a run please?" Stephanie smiled widely. "Of course Alpha." Stephanie stepped back from me and shifted effortlessly in front of me. "Serenity, officially you aren't apart of Alpha Keith's pack so you won't be able to mind link Stephanie so please just stick to her side?" I bowed my head awkwardly and turned as Stephanie sprinted off towards the woods. "Stephanie, stay close to the house please!?" Clarisa yelled out as I took off after her. At first it felt strange to be running on four legs instead of two but it didn't take me long to adjust and soon enough I was caught up to Stephanie. She jumped logs easily and would duck under others that were off the ground enough. I followed her lead and tried to get my body to move like hers but it wasn't easy. Stephanie slowed down as we neared a small river.

We took a drink side by side and I was amazed by own reflection. I was only small and delicate looking in comparison to Stephanie. Her fur was a soft sandy colour and mine was as black as Alpha Marcus'. My eyes that had always been an amazing blue now looked like they blue electrical sparks running through them. I was truly amazed at my wolf form. I was standing there looking at myself while Stephanie had a drink when I thought I heard something on the other side of the river. I looked up and saw yellow eyes looking back at us. Slowly more eyes appeared close to the first set. "Stephanie..." I got ready to run but realised Stephanie still hadn't noticed. "Stephanie!!" I screamed at her mentally. "Run!!!" All of a sudden Stephanie looked at me then in the direction I was facing. We both turned and run as fast as we could. I just hoped I was able to reach the council in time.

We ran back the way that we had come. "Stephanie if I fall behind you have to leave me! One of us has to reach the council!" Our feet pound on the earth as we pushed ourselves harder. "How...How are you able to mind link me!? This shouldn't be possible!" I noticed her pace slow a little. "It doesn't matter right now, just run!!" She put more effort into running and pushed myself a little harder as well. The council house finally came into view and we heard howling both from behind us and in front of us. The one in front was safer than the one behind so we pushed with what effort we had left to reach them. I saw a black wolf fly pass me heading for our pursuers and right on his tail were more wolves. About twelve in total flew passed us and Stephanie finally slowed her pace. I slowed down with her as we reached the council house.

Stephanie shifted back to her human form and ran to her mother. I couldn't help but notice she was naked thankfully her mother had a blanket with her which she wrapped around her daughter's shoulders. They hugged as I walked up to them in my wolf form. Clarisa looked at down at me. "Oh sweet heart thank the goddess you are both safe! Can you shift back? I have a blanket for you as well." I looked at her confused. I had no idea how to. We heard whimpering and looked back in the direction where we had come running from. Whatever fight had happened ended quickly with little struggle. I guess all the Alphas must have gone and who ever had chased us had stood no chance against them. Some of them had started to reach us already. Most were in their human forms which meant they were currently naked. Others were still in their wolf forms thankfully. Some of them nodded politely at Clarisa as they passed by and a couple stopped to stand with us. I tried to avert my eyes from the men that stood around naked waiting for clothes and blankets to be handed to them. Blake walked over and wrapped himself inside Stephanie's blanket with her. Two very large wolves walked up and joined us. Alpha Marcus I recognized from earlier but the other I didn't. "It's alright Serenity, this is my wolf form." Keith spoke to me through the mind link. Marcus growled lowly at a couple of the naked men and they walked away.

Clarisa stepped up to her husband and rubbed his head gently. "Serenity doesn't know how to shift back." Blake looked over at me. "She won't be able to for awhile. When someone is forced to shift it takes longer to be able to shift back. The best you can do for her for now is take her upstairs and let her rest." I looked at him then back at Alpha Marcus. He just stared back at me. Was that why I had heard him say he wouldn't force my first shift? Clarisa walked over to me and smiled. "Come on sweet heart let's get you up to your room then." I heard Alpha Marcus grumble gently as I followed her inside. We walked through the main entrance room which was filled with people still and up the stairs towards my room. Clarisa opened the door and we walked in quietly. She closed the door behind me and sat down on my bed. Smiling she patted the bed for me to join her. I climbed up and lay down next to her. She stroked my fur and hummed quietly to calm me. "Why didn't you tell me it was your birthday sweet heart?" She shook her head when I looked at her. "Oh never mind. We will talk about that later, but for now I want you to just lay here and rest ok?" I laid my head back down and got comfortable as she went back to stroking my fur. Slowly I drifted off to sleep.
