Clarification

" I wouldn't just waste my time and resources on fabricating anything to you, you need to check your brains"Mia remarked obviously annoyed.

" Then how is this possible? " Lydia asked as she started to believe in Mia's words.

"From my investigation, I found out that your father's secretary also works for your uncle, who is also part of the board members. So obviously he instructed him to sabotage it" said Mia.

" My uncle, why?" asked Lydia with a surprised face.

" That's because, if your father couldn't get the deal, they would force him to hand over the CEO position to him. He had already bribed most of the shareholders but as your father has the highest percent of the shares. He held back a little but now that your father also lost the deal, by now I guess they would have started forcing him to sell his shares and step down. Your father would also think that it was his mistake that led the company to lose the deal. So maybe your father would also sell his shares and step down, ''Mia added.

" If what you are saying is the truth, why have they made no attempt all this while that the deal has been lost?" Lydia asked as she tried to control her emotions.

" I think that's because of your mother's demise. They couldn't just give a man that has just lost his wife a hard time right? and besides I think they would have started to pressure him as it's already been a month since your mom's death" Mia added.

" But if so, why hasn't father told me about this" asked Lydia on the verge of tears.

" For the miscalution issue, I don't think he knows about it but for him stepping down, I guess he didn't inform you as he didn't want to trouble you. So I think it's better if you don't let him down. " Mia said.

" But how did you gather all this?" Lydia asked a little bit curious as she raised the envelope in her hands.

" Sorry about this, but we infiltrated your database and that's how we got the two reports, one from your dad's computer and the other from his secretary. The secretary also sent the fake report to your uncle, I think for assurance but don't worry, apart from this, we didn't unlock anything confidential to your company" Mia said to the curious Lydia.

" Okay but why did you try to investigate it?" Lydia asked again.

" I can withstand any accusation except as a murderer and a force snatcher. When you told me the first time, I asked my father and he explained the reason we got the deal so I had wanted to let it slide but when you deliberately framed Ben, I couldn't stand it at all and so I decided to prove my innocence not because I fear you but because I just thought that even though you are annoying , you are still a good person so I also wanted to know the reason why you pinned it on my family and that's reason I decided to get to the bottom of it." Mia said calmly.

" I'm really sorry about the whole incident and I sincerely hope you forgive me" Lydia said as tears started streaming down her cheeks.

" But I don't get one thing, why did you accuse my family?". questioned Mia.

" My father's secretary said all that to me. He told me that your family made some tricks to get that deal and that's why mother got the attack" said Lydia.

" That's why I advise you to use your brain sometimes"Mia remarked as she rolled her eyes at Lydia which made Lydia glare at her.

" What about the pictures?" Lydia asked awkwardly.

" Did you forget my family's main branch deals with technology, I already dealt with it. There's no trace of that post on every working device even if the person saved the pictures' ' Mia said proudly.

" Okay that's a relief. Once again I sincerely apologize and thank you for all that you have done. I owe you in this life." Lydia said with appreciation.

" If I was you, I would be thinking about my company," Mia said.

" I will get going and I will clarify it on the school forum." Lydia said as she waved at Mia. In the future Lydia will become their trusted Ally.

Mia went back to the hospital and told Ben all that happened even though he was still unconscious.

Another week passed but Ben was still unconscious. One afternoon after an important class, Mia received a call that Ben had shown signs of waking up and we immediately rushed to the hospital.

When we got to the hospital, Mia went to sit beside Ben. She talked about what she's been up to since he slept. In between her talks, Ben suddenly asked her why she didn't drink her favorite coffee.

That's right, Ben has woken up after a long time. Mia was stunned at first but then she quickly fell into his embrace and started crying. I was really happy to see them at that moment.

The doctor came and examined Ben then left. We chatted for a long time and even decided on various activities to do when he is finally discharged from the hospital.

Just then Lydia came inside, at the sight of her, Ben quickly panicked and tried to explain it to Mia less he was misunderstood again but she just smiled and said it was okay. She also told him that she already believed in him and that she knew he wouldn't do that. After that Lydia explained everything to him and apologized. Lydia also promised that she would always be there when we needed her assistance. From then, we became real good friends and at this time we were already in our final year at college.

The days passed by really fast and soon we were busy preparing for our graduation. After spending some time with Lydia, we also realized that she wasn't actually annoying but she tends to purposely annoy people she didn't like.

I almost forgot about this, Lydia's father, after learning the truth, sued all the perpetrators and sent them to prison including her so-called uncle.
