Not A Robbery (Part 1)

It is past midnight and Nolan arrived at her house drunk, and what is more alarming is the bloody gun. Leila was surprised, but certainly not scared. He was in her building, a place she has charge over.

Only an idiot tries to attack someone in a place he or she is quite familiar with. But the only vantage she has is Fay being in control.

Then the document she had just finished reading made her sceptical. She did not want to believe that Fay was going to abandon her. For clarity, she asked, "Fay, are you there?"

"Yes, boss. I apologize, I did not know he-"

"What's going on, Nolan?" Leila asked, not caring about Fay's explanation,

Nolan staggered back then front and almost collided with the couch. Leila could not move from that spot because of the gun he freely held in his hands. Nolan looked puzzled at the question Leila asked, but following Leila's line of sight he explained,

"Um… I"

Grog! He belched.
