I didn't know how scared I was until I left Longwei's office. He was joking about killing me for his woman. This was so much pain to me. I would have died because he chose to believe her. J knew her calling me to make friends was just to make things hard for me.

My heart is still hurting even when Xing has gotten me a relaxing tonic. Xing seemed to be very kind, I just wished he was the one I was sold to. At least, he wouldn't hurt me like Longwei does. 

I knew that that woman's tricks wouldn't end here and j ass to prepare myself for more. She was definitely going to make things so hard for me.

"Are you alright, your highness," Meifeng asked.

She must have watched me zone out for a long time. Then something came to me. 

"How long have you been working in the palace?" I asked Meifeng. 

" My mother was a maid in the palace before she got sick and I've been here for a very long time. Maybe since I was born, " she replied.
