Arguing with mother
It turned out that Grandpa had already asked my mother's boss for permission to take her out for a chat, so now we were on our way to a café not far from the mansion where she works. During the journey, I just sat quietly beside her, specifically in the back seat, while Grandpa and Brandon sat next to each other in the middle seat.
I kept feeling anxious, occasionally glancing at her as she stared straight ahead with a blank expression. From her silence, I understood she was battling with her thoughts, perhaps because I had disobeyed her by getting back together with Brandon.
Feeling like I wanted to cry, I wanted to say sorry but didn't dare, remaining silent until we arrived at a café with a metallic ambiance and orange lighting.
And it turned out Grandpa had reserved a VIP room so we could talk freely.
