Introduction

For the time being, we are focusing on Nakama Masa. She actually has two quirks. One is called Empath and the other is called Safeguard. Empath allows the user to read, sense, and alter one's emotions by looking at their body or by standing within 15 feet of them. This quirk can not be disabled unless Aizawa interferes with his quirk. Safeguard is just a shield, 15 feet in diameter or less, around her, someone or something else. This quirk will only fail if Aizawa interferes with his quirk or she is emotionally and mentally broken. Both quirks will deactivate if she loses consciousness.

When she was three, her and her father got stuck in the middle of a fight between a villain and a hero while they were out shopping for dinner that night. She was a shorty so all the attacks from either party went right over her head which was the opposite for her six foot father as she watched him take hit after hit from both quirks. He died right after the battle, only having time to say one thing to Masa. "Live, love, laugh, sing, dance, dream, play, give, and cherish." Despite being so young and so innocent, she knew exactly what he was telling her since it was his favorite saying and nodded before running away. It simply meant this. "Live like heaven is on earth, love like you have never been hurt, laugh like no one is listening, sing as if no one can hear you, dance as if no one was watching, dream like there are no impossibilities, play like there are no winners, give like you have plenty, smile till your face hurts, and cherish your family and friends everyday."

Her father was an Empath while her mother was the one with Safeguard though her mom simply called it Shield. Her brother was three years older than she was and quirkless but even so, they supported him in his dream of becoming the greatest scientist and he supported them in anyway he possibly could. The next two years were the hardest for them, struggling to make ends meet and keep their way of life.

When it came time to go see the quirk doctor, he told them the same thing about her quirk previously explained but her starting ranges were feet and she could only keep them going for about five minutes before needing to rest. Her mother as ecstatic and supported her wholeheartedly as she began to train with her quirks, increasing the potency, duration and range of both quirks. When she was ten, she began to physically train herself on top of her usual quirk training, pushing herself to her limits and beyond, striving to achieve her goal of becoming the top support hero or at least top three. She was already an amazing therapist and friend to those around her and had number one pro hero personality: sweet, kind, considerate, compassionate but driven enough to get the job done and protect everyone she can. By the time she was eleven, her brother was in his third year of middle school and she was able to keep her shields up for twenty minutes, read and sense other peoples emotions, and their diameter was about six feet each. She was also able to do more than anyone in any of her classes. Another half a year passed and she had doubled her range and exponentially increased her duration as well as being able to fully control the alteration aspect of Empath. She only pulled farther ahead of her classes, physically, as time wore on.

This is where we start our story.....
