The piece fell away from the terminal around some vehicles so Tang had to take more time to reach it. The air was like poison to him and was damaging him as he ran, he wasn't sure if he would be able to get the piece and make it to the terminal. However, he knew he had to have it even if he died, so he ran even faster and without slowing down to pick it up instead just scooping the piece into his arms as he ran to the terminal.
He made it inside just as the last of his HP was about to be depleted and couldn't help but smile when he looked at the piece he had successfully got his hands on.

Once in the terminal Tang followed the hallway and soon found himself in a room with several pools of black liquid and NPC's directing players to walk into them.
He walked over to an empty pool and a female NPC walked over to him.
"Please enter the gene pool and we can get started binding your gene suit."
Tang walked into the pool of black liquid and it began to slowly climb up his body, the orange air from outside was shot out of jets near the pool after he was fully covered.
"Peng"
[Gene suit acquired...assessing genes...Mysterious Genes found...Reformatting to best combination...]
"Mystery Genes? It must be the piece I picked up."
[Gene Suit optimized... binding to user.... finished]
Tang walked out of the pool and checked his profile again. His health had been fully restored and there was new information.

The information he had from the forums said that 10 points in a stat was considered high and few could people would have better stats at level 1, but that was obviously because no one knows about the Mysterious Genes on the forums.
Tang looked around and say a group of players leaving down another hallway, he followed behind them and came to a large room that looked like a jungle.
There was a tall, well built, strong man standing in front of the glass door when they approached.
"Welcome new Colonist, now that you have your Gene Suits it's time for you to pick your first gene. We have captured two of the weaker creatures and stored them in this area just go in and kill whichever you like and bring back a piece."
After that, the group of players ran into the jungle to search for there targets, but Tang stayed behind.
"This must be how other players start the game, but I already have a piece of a creature that I can use."
He took out the Mysterious Gene piece and wondered what he was supposed to with it when three players returned from the jungle.
"Welcome back, I see that you have the gene's you want so let me turn them into your first Gene Alter for you. After you bind your Gene Alter to your Gene Suit it will give you a way to fight against the stronger creatures outside."
Each of the players brought over the gene piece they choice and the man placed them in a small box that began to glow different colors.
"Please place the gene alter on the part of the body you wish to bind it to, depending on where you place it your gene suit will improve. Think carefully before you bind your alter because there is no going back after."
The first player didn't think twice and just place the box on his right shoulder, his gene suit flashed before changing his right arm into a tiger claw. After he bound the alter he could turn the gene suit on and off, when it was off he looked like a normal person.
The second and third person thought about it for a while after watching the first and one of the bound the alter to his chest while the other placed it at on his back. The one on the chest caused a vine to grow from the gowned and wrapped around his arm, he turned off the suit and left. While the person with the alter on his back had a large black ax float in front of him, he seemed to be checking his profile for a second before he left like the others.
After watching this Tang decided to test the gene piece he had and brought it over to the man.
"Can I use this piece to make a gene alter?"
"Of course you can."
He gave the mystery gene to the man and the man place it in a container like the others, after it was done he repeated the same line he told the others and gave the gene alter to Tang.

Reading the description Tang felt like it wasn't a good idea to use it for a moment, but after careful thought, he couldn't remember anything going wrong for the other players.
He placed the gene alter the base of his skull and a sign popped up asking him if he wanted to bind this alter.
