Chapter 17: Lost History of Yharnam? And Time Skip

Next morning, Ray, Artemis and Ellen just finished their breakfast before Azazel, accompanied by Serafall and Michael, entered their room wearing formal suits except Michael who wore his usual armor.

"I hope I'm not late?" Azazel greeted Ray and co before introducing his escort which apparently is leaders of other factions. Ray didn't mind since it help introduce his budding faction to the angel and devil too.

Although his faction is relatively weak, he isn't worried because their home base is located in Yharnam which is only accessible through Hunter's Dream via the messenger lamp that he has full control of. Also due to unique features of a subspace, he can basically detect anyone that enters or leaves through his subspace which allows him to know if anyone entered Yharnam.

"Ah, not at all. You came a few minutes earlier than promised, seems like someone is excited huh."

"Of course I am. From our talk yesterday, I realized that your faction was never surfaced ever in any part of the history. This make me conclude that perhaps your people are reclusive to the extreme that no one ever discovered you."

"Well I can agree on that, the Yharnam before is extremely unwelcoming of foreigners. The city itself is so hidden that people almost never hear about it. The occasional foreigners that did appear are there due to complicated circumstances like me."

"Wait, you aren't the native people?" Azazel quickly ask back

"Nope, I was a foreigner who was sent there to clean up the mess the 'church' did which caused the whole city to be inflicted with plague as a result of their greed for power." Ray said while secretly looking at Michael furrow his brow while Azazel gave him a light jab and smirk like he won something.

"Well, let's not delay anymore and proceed, shall we?" Ray said before quickly swapping his bathrobe from last night into his Hunter's attire.

"Artemis" Artemis then unsummon and resummon her sword from. Ray thinks to make some flair before he focuses a large amount of his mana into Artemis which glow brightly before the messenger lamp appears in the room.

"Woah, what is this lamp for? Some sort of super secret teleportation device?" Serafall said after looking at the very old looking street lamp appeared.

"Yes"

"Ellen, do you want to follow or not? If no, you can use the money to have fun with the girls for today."

"I take no. I'd rather not get stuck with political stuff." Ellen said with a sigh before.

"Let's go" Immediately messenger appeared to crawl on all four people which caused various reactions especially Serafall who panicked and almost kicked them but Ray stopped her and told everyone it was harmless.

In the Grand Cathedral, Ray and the three leaders arrive and are greeted by Laurence who Ray already informed last night about the alliance with Grigori.

"Welcome to the Healing Church of Yharnam, I am Vicar Laurence, a temporary governer appointed by the king to manage and run the city."

Everyone then introduced themselves to each other although Michael is very much distracted by the power of worship he feel immediately upon arrival. The worship power is so pure and dense that he thought he is hallucinating when he sees it.

He concluded that the people here truly wholeheartedly and faithfully worshipped their god that it made him feel envy since each of these people can provide more worship power than what a thousand or tens of thousands believers could provide. Azazel also felt it but didn't pay attention to it but instead the people itself who look human but not the same as normal human from their earth.

"Then, where is the king? We need him to sign the agreement for alliance after all." Azazel said.

Laurence look at them weirdly before looking at Ray. Azazel also follow his sight to see Ray trying to hold his laughter for successfully bamboozled Azazel again.

"Not cool man." Azazel looks at Ray with a deadpanned face. Ray then disables his Presence Concealment and finally fully shows his presence to everyone which causes Michael to turn his head at breakneck speed to Ray when he feels the power of worship flow into him and nourish his soul and divinity.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ray Elliot or my people called me the Pale Blood King for some reason." Ray made a slight bow when introducing himself.

(Note: Pale blood is another name for the Moon Presence from my little research, thus I took liberty to name him Pale Blood King as the one that now basically owns the Hunter's Dream. He was also god/king of the Yharnam Moon Presence created just for the hunt to take place. Hence why Yharnam is the sole city in that blank world, void of any civilization.

"..." The angels and one devil look at Ray silently without talking anything.

"Okay okay, let's get the stuff done. I know you all wanted a tour right?" Ray finally stops messing with Azazel and leads them to Laurence's office to sign the alliance agreement.

When it's done, Ray lead them to a tour around Yharnam but avoids the important places outside of the previous new and old Yharnam City.

"This place is quite interesting, it looks like the Great Britain of the Victorian era." Azazel pointed out.

"However, why do they consume blood? I noticed when we visited the marketplace, almost anything except food is mixed in blood, especially the healing item. They aren't vampires right?" Serafall asked.

Laurence who is tagging along with the tour explained to them the history of Yharnam after Ray brought them to a popular pub where he saw Gehrmen is drinking after his recent return from the frontier outpost that was attacked by troll.

"Wait, so you say that this blood that founded the… The Healing Church is the blood of gods called the Great One." Azazel confirms what he just heard from Laurence.

"Yes, I am among the group of scholars that first obtain the blood from the tomb of the gods and made use of it to seek evolution however it only jumpstart the beastly scourge that soon destroy Yharnam until Lord Ray put an end on everything and slayed the Great Ones to ascend into a Great One himself then rebuild Yharnam that you see today." Laurence explained with various emotions like regret, anger and gratefulness.

"And he is a Great One himself!" Azazel almost fainted from the constant barrage of surprise.

"No wonder I feel such a potent power of worship from the people." Michael said, finally understand the reason for the believers being this fanatical.

"Indeed dear guest, I didn't joke when I say every single resident of Yharnam from the young to the old is willing to give up their lives without hesitation if Lord Ray gives us his order. That is how grateful we are to him."

"Although none of us can really die as long as Lord Ray is still alive, we will endlessly revive and fight against his enemies until we get them out with our tooth and nails." Laurence said with murderous intent leaking from him as his voice distorted like a growl of a beast.

(Note: Some high ranking people like Laurence retain their beasthood and are able to transform into cleric beast although only a handful of them exist currently.)

All three leaders who heard Laurence are slightly terrified. An army of evolved humans that was born with the strength of a low class power due to their evolution and can be revived endlessly, that's something terrifying. They will win any war with the battle attrition paired with their fanatical worship of their god.

Don't even get started that they basically consume the blood of a cosmic deity on a regular basis that continuously enhances their body. They can feel the effects of the very diluted blood in their drinks. It grants nourishment to their body and strengthens it although quite negligible due to it being extremely diluted.

"Well, it looks like their church is better than your own church huh." Azazel tried to crack a joke to Michael who didn't think of it as one and replied seriously.

"Indeed, if our church can display what half of them can, we will surpass even our golden age of Christianity. The current church had decayed too much and I can do nothing about it, especially after what had transpired at the end of the Great War." Michael said sadly.

"Indeed" Serafall also said solemnly when talking about the Great war.

"Well, how about we visit Ludwig? He is our church's finest hunter and held the title of Ludwig of the Holy Blade." Laurence suggested.

"Is that the previous wielder of the Holy Moonlight Sword?" Azazel asked.

"Yes, he is the leader of the church hunter that is famed for wielding a holy sword, however, he succumbed to the plague and was slain by Lord Ray once. He is similar to a noble knight as one of the few that put great importance in honor like the knight of old." Laurence explained.

"Sounds like a person I would get along with." Michael jokes before they leave the pub and walk to the Church Hunters workshop.

Along the way there, they passed through Cathedral Ward where people will go to get healed or generally where most of the church operations take place. After the blood being heavily regulated, the blood in circulation by the general public is very small amount that enough for light wounds only and for heavier injuries, they have to receive it from the church itself to prevent people from overusing it.

"Is that blood also diluted?" Azazel asked after seeing most people with physical injuries being treated with blood from blood vials.

"Yes, the blood that person used is diluted with ordinary blood by one to a hundred while the drinks from pubs are even less, around one to a thousand." Laurence answered.

"Can I get one… Or perhaps exchange for one?" Azazel asked but Laurence looked at the bored Ray who quickly faked a cough.

"Ahem, I knew that you definitely acquired one for your research and thus as a gift of good will for our alliance, I will give you an undiluted one although much smaller than those vials." Ray then took a small vial from his inventory before giving it to Azazel.

"Ahem, indeed I not regretting for making this alliance… The amount of energy and vitality from this little amount of blood is ridiculous." Azazel said while evaluating the blood with his magic senses.

"It feel a hundred fold more potent than a phenex tears… the world will be on uproar consider that it's able to boost power both temporarily and permanently." Serafall added while looking enviously at Azazel.

"Is it? I had yet to even bring out the bigger gun which could probably fix fallen angels fertility problem." Ray accidentally spoke when he was focused on evaluating their reaction to his undiluted blood. He then realized but it was too late because it's impossible for them to not hear what Ray said with their strong hearing.

"Oops…?" Azazel and Serafall stare at Ray like a starved predator wanting to swallow him whole.

Seeing that there is no way they are going to stop pestering him until they see what secret he is hiding. He relent and activate his blood divinity and combine with his true body that now resides in his soul. His other reason for doing this is to show them that he also has power to back up his faction.

Under everyone watchful eyes, including the Blood Priest and Priestess that are providing healing to the people. Ray draw out his blood using Hemokinesis and condensed it using [Blood] divinity to form Blood Stone instead of Blood Gem because it would drain on his reserve severely as he still lack proficiency and require ten times the amount of energy to produce the blood gem than it's actual required energy.

"This… The energy is too potent and the vitality in it… I can see why I could fix the fertility problem."

"The problem with low fertility is due to the egg in the mother unable to survive long enough to be born because the mother's body is usually too strong and the eggs end up dying during the fertilization process. With this perhaps we could create a device to siphon the Blood Stone vitality to nourish the egg and allow it to survive until it is born." Azazel explains his understanding on how to make use of the Blood Stone that was previously only used to enhance weapons.

"Can you exchange it with the Underworld too? We are willing to negotiate its price." Serafall quickly jumps on the chance while Azazel is thinking deeply. Michael however didn't because angels cannot reproduce through copulation.

"Well as you can see, I need to use my own blood and energy to produce them. I cannot produce much of this however we can discuss later. We had gone sidetracked from our original destination." Ray quickly put it aside and led them to the Church Hunters workshop.

(Note: Serafall is quite different because she is in her professional persona since she is first time meeting Ray and is trying to gain as much information as she could for her faction.)

The tour finished during the evening, they visited the Ray's mansion, every hunter's workshops and some discussion with the scholars about less sensitive information about Yharnam and its origin. Ray finally returned into the inn's room and everyone returned to their factions to share and digest what they had learned from Yharnam and the Pale Blood faction.

Ray was sitting in his room while releasing all his stress from dealing with the faction leaders with Artemis's help. Artemis sits on him while facing each other in the bath house, soaking in the private hot water bath.

" There there, you did a great job. So, don't keep being down like this… a little slip up like that was unexpected but you managed to salvage it just fine didn't you?" Artemis said while patting his head, trying to praise him.

"I'm fine Artemis, I just realized that I need someone to take care of political stuff for me. Someone that can handle them in my stead… someone good in politics."

"My first candidate is Laurence since he is good at that but he is already burdened with managing most of Yharnam city and Healing Church. Second candidate is Ellen since she once worked as secretary that helped Isaac deal with most of DEM management but she wasn't interested in it anymore and wanted to focus on combat related tasks instead."

Ray then dips his head further into the warm water and blows bubbles while trying to find an answer. He then tried to use his Cosmic Guidance to search for an answer which showed him a lot of answers but the viable one only amounted to two. The spell is similar to Wish Upon Stars and creates a kin or perhaps combination of both.

The Wish Upon Stars can be used to wish for anything and everything which is only limited by the factor of what the wish is, the energy required and the sacrifice which usually is lifespan. He perhaps could summon a character from the multiverse but their loyalty is dubious and could simply hate him for dragging them here.

The second one however is interesting. Since a Great One has difficulty producing a child naturally, they can produce a kin using part of themselves with a part of another to create a being similar to creating custom NPC like in Overlord. However, its strength is highly dependent on the material used which can be fixed using 'Wish Upon Stars'.

The unviable ways are like recruiting Tiamat The Chaos Karma dragon, brainwashing someone into becoming his underlings or even creating an android to serve as the diplomat.

"Finally found an answer?" Artemis asks after seeing Ray resurface from the warm water.

"Yes, as expected of Cosmic Guidance… never failed to provide answers when I needed it." Ray said before lazily lying on top of Artemis's chest and having his hair played by her small and delicate hands.

They stay like that for another half an hour before returning to their room for their final night of honeymoon which they decide to have steamy hot sex that last till morning and made all the female inn workers to blush during their check out the next morning.

Returned from their honeymoon, Artemis soon lose her temporary privilege to have Ray to herself only and everyone decided to have a group sex except Nia who still not ready for it and being teased by Kurumi as a old virgin because her actual age is around 48 even if she look very youthful around 17-18 years old. And Shinano along with Ikaros, who is exploring the outer space to find more material for Ray and somehow established a small base with the help of an industrial grade 3D printer.

(Note: I wanna try make a side story if I soon run out of idea for main story)

Everyone continued their usual routine where Nia is becoming a mangaka to pursue her passion, Kurumi become the cafe manager, Ellen occasionally helped in the cafe but mostly training herself and the maids cum bodyguards, Shinano with Ikaros having fun in the space making a base, Scáthach is out since the start to keep an eye on several longinus gear holder that Ray told her to and also to relief her boredom with adventure.

Artemis and Tsukuyomi, who is inseparable from Ray, just stay close to him as usual while having fun with him or helping him with his task and training. Ray wanted to raise his proficiency in wielding the Incinerate Anthem and tried to unlock its Balance Breaker mode.

He discovered that his longinus have flaws purposely left there when he infused his psychic sense into it which required its host to fill or fix that flaw. However the only problem is the only way to do that, one needs to use their will to do any changes to the sacred gear to achieve Balance Breaker.

No wonder most Balance Breakers are achieved only after the host undergoes intense emotional state and wishes for more power to overcome the situation. This however is completely sidestepped by Ray who has his psychic power that can interfere with the sacred gear and modify like a hacker that gets his hand on a console to access the sacred gear.

Not to be mistaken however, he cannot instantly get the Balance Breaker mode but he can cheat it slightly like using self hypnosis to produce the intense emotional state or manipulate the path for its mutation into subspecies.

He put that plan on the side first and proceeded with producing his kin since that is more urgently needed right now. He will do this far away from earth, on board of Shinano ship form.

When he arrived at the ship, he was greeted with the view of a fully built base and a dock that was only large enough to dock Shinano ship form.

"Welcome, commander." Shinano suddenly appeared on the bridge carrying a chibi Ray that was as large as a medium size plushie that carried one of Ray's thoughts.

"Who's idea is this to build the outpost here?" Ray asked and the plushie raised his hand and waved enthusiastically.

"Haah, whatever… I need to build forces to take over the normal world too. So, I might as well get it done." Ray then follows Shinano to enter the base.

(Unidentified personnel detected… scanning initiated… Scanning complete, individual identified as Rank 1 commander, Ray Elliot. Welcome to the base, commander.)

A robotic voice echoed through the lobby when he entered. This feels very futuristic indeed. He saw multiple autonomous drone swarms building something, mechanical claws that are sorting and storing mined material brought in by mining ships from the nearby asteroid cluster and 3D printers operating in full capacity printing something while Ikaros is supervising.

"Can you explain everything that happens on the base right now?"

"Yes commander" Shinano bow a little while replying before she tells Ray everything about the base.

"Commander, 4 days ago the smaller commander proposed a plan to use the blueprint available in the 3D printer database to create a base to more efficiently mine the asteroid when we keep mined crystal made from the metals. An refinery is needed to separate and mix the mined metals to produce the requested alloy. The plan soon modified after the input of metals cannot keep up with the refining rate. As a result, we have a total of 9 mining ships, 5 refineries, 10 small storage units, 2 Deuterium refueling stations, 20 3D printers and 3 Weapon Production lines."

"The Weapon Production lines had been stopped after confirming that Yharnam has enough stock of weapons while 3D printers are producing more advanced Utility Drones to expand the base."

"The base AI also proposed to build more facilities on a resource rich planet it detected 3 light years away that has its mass 70 percent made out of metals we can use for production. It also proposed to expand our production scale since we have no competitors fighting for our resources."

"That's everything, commander." Shinano ended her briefing while her ears twitching similarly like Tsukuyomi when he wanted to be praised.

"Hum… good job Shinano, I will put you in charge of this operation." Ray said while ruffling her hair and ears slightly.

"Yes, Commander" Shinano said with a happy and satisfied look on her face after receiving praise from her commander.

(Detected command. Proceed to upgrade Individual Shinano to Rank 2 Overseer,?)

"Yes" Ray replied instantly

"Now, I want you to expand the production of the base as much as you can. I wanted to build an armada of starships which I will need in the future." Ray told Shinano

"Show all the blueprints stored in the database." Ray commanded the AI and a holographic screen appeared, showing every blueprint from a ball pen to starships and mobile bases of various functions.

Ray selected several blueprints that he put importance in which are autonomous combat robots, laser weapons, planet landing craft for deployment and various starships.

The armada will made of multiple fleets that consists of:

-4 Eternal Storm battlecruiser with one as flagship. This ship is the main heavy hitter for the fleet due to its main weapon, a large ion cannon that is powerful enough to pierce through any large ship and sub weapon like missile and torpedo cluster that guarantees enough firepower to easily achieve victory.

-10 Callisto Heavy Torpedo cruiser which is perfect to takedown enemy bigger ships like battlecruiser or cruiser with high speed barrage of torpedo missiles that will cover the enemies with a large cluster of torpedoes that is hard to avoid.

-12 AC721 logistics destroyer as their cargo ship that carry essentials and mining ships to self sufficient in case of deep space expedition

-6 Guardian support type destroyer for during combat repair

-20 Eris I Light Rapid variant (high evasion), 10 Eris I Heavy Cannon variant (higher firepower) and 20 Eris I Armored variant (tanky ship). This destroyer is the main fighting force of the fleet below Eternal storm due to its high mobility makes it a preferred option in mounting effective and fast assaults on enemies or to intercept enemies.

-20 FG300 Armored Type variant frigate which can tank smaller enemy fire or act as drop ship for planetary breaching.

-15 Mare Serenitatis Missile frigate to help with bombarding enemies with smaller missiles that can travel at very high speed to target ships hiding behind the formation or can be used to provide bombardment for ground forces during a siege.

With this amount and type of ship to build, it would take quite some time or maybe up to a year building facilities before they are even capable of building and arming the fleet.

Due to that, Ray had drawn out a plan for the AI to follow on expanding their mining scale and production to first build the facilities like parts manufacturing plants, shipyard and many other essentials before it started building his fleet and arming the fleet.

After that he greeted Ikaros before returning to Shinano to start creating his kin. He checked the Cosmic Guidance and turn out that the process could damage the environment which cause him to stop and find a nearest planet that he could use to create his kin.

He soon land on a planet that has solid ground and have a surface which are mostly stone from cooled lava. He then prepare for the [Wish Upon Stars] which will be used for creating an artificial soul like how he created his weapon souls but this one will be a customized soul to his preference. The spell will turn anything he wished in his mind during the spell activation into real by constructing it out of sheer mana. The spell is very wasteful since the conversion rate could be 100 mana for 1 unit of the material and for example the one unit is a 1 mm cube of wood, 1 mm cube of soul could be a hundred thousands or even million more expansive than the wood which is why Ray will only use this spell as last resort due to its extreme price.

(Note: Basically last resort only… seriously I kinda fugged coz I can't find a perfect character for this role and end up making another oc)

After setting up the massive magic circle for absorbing and storing the mana required for the ritual, he use Cosmic Sicon ability to gave him the energy and turn it into mana to fill up the magic circle. Since mana is also a type of energy, thats mean that I can be produced by converting energy to mana which is another type of energy.

The whole process last for weeks until he had it filled to brim. During the time, he occasionally return to earth and have to meet with Azazel and Serafall that somehow managed to discover his cafe to discuss about stuff related to his faction. They however didn't push him on the matter of the Blood Stone and instead asking him to make his faction public or at least have a headquarter which he had yet to plan where to build it since Kuoh town is still under devil control even after Cleria Belial's death.

He also spend that time to create the body that will house the soul with the help of Cosmic Guidance. After few trial and error, the body is created and it look androgenous with no apparent gender features other than the female reproductive organ. The hair reached her shoulder and was red in colour just like the pupils due to the main ingredient being his own blood and flesh from his true body. The height is around 160 and the body is fairly slender and more to a female body than male but look androgenous enough to be mistaken as male.

After weeks of waiting, the magic circle is filled with enough mana that Ray immediately initiates the spell to create the soul. The whole process didn't have any trouble although it took a lot of concentration to fit the soul into the flesh body. It feels like trying to remove the fuse from an explosive device, he has to be real gentle with manipulating his will or the soul might get damaged and he has to repeat the spell again.

To verify his fruit of labor, he use his long unused skill, [Observation] to check the stats

A brain with processing power of a supercomputer although using full capacity can easily cause exhaustion. Provide increase to mana pool and spell power and reduce the spell cost.

False Death -

Cannot truly die as an artificial soul cannot return to the cycle of rebirth, the soul returns to its creator instead and be reformed again to forever serve its creator for eternity.

(Note: Basically a glass cannon build mage with minimal defensive ability and the only safety features is can be revived but not immediately upon death.)

"Oh boy, it turned out just fine although her vitality is a little too low…" Ray look at the floating screen while complaining.

"Did I focus too hard when wishing for her to be strong in magic? Well it's too late to change… Wake up." He sees no response from her even after giving her the order to wake from her deep sleep.

"Did I fucked up!" Ray panicked slightly since the body was alive and fine but didn't wake up.

Ray quickly checked the soul state but found nothing wrong. He then uses Cosmic Guidance and finds out that due to the modification, he needs to feed her with his blood to imprint and 'activate' her from hibernation sleep that she will experience if isn't well fed with blood.

"Did I accidentally make her into a vampire… I did wish for her to be compatible with blood magic…" Ray checks again and turns out that Blood Magic is racial abilities of vampire species and to be compatible, she is given the vampiric physique.

This means that she has to be fed with blood regularly although she can eat normal food and only need to be fed once in a while or her strength will degrade and turn to hibernation mode. She didn't have the weakness that normal vampires have other than being stabbed in the heart but she also enjoys great strength and regeneration like a vampire.

Ray makes a small blob of blood the size of an egg before moving it to her mouth which causes her mouth to respond and soon gulp the blood greedily before she opens her eyes.

"Lord Creator" She spoke her first words.

"Yes, now let's give you a name." Ray looks at her face to realize she looks exactly like Saber from Fate but with red eyes and hair. He was wondering how the heck he created a saber face without realising it.

Ray gave up thinking about it since he was sure he just gave up midway when making her body and just copied somewhere and coincidentally he copied a random Saber face then forgot about it and sure he did. According to Cosmic Guidance, he copied Mysterious Heroine X looks while trying to use Cosmic Guidance to access all the past, present and future doujin of that character a week ago after getting tired from dealing with Azazel.

"What if I name her Artoria X and send her across the multiverse to eliminate all saber faces that exist. Hahaha" Ray jokingly suggested.

"Name received, inscribed to soul." Artoria X answered.

"Shit! Cancel cancel" However it's already too late as he saw on her status screen, her name changed to Artoria X.

"This is gonna be awkward when dealing with them." Ray sighed and didn't realize something speeding toward him from outer space before it's only a few hundred meters away from him.

"!" Ray's body moved automatically to evade the speeding object that implanted onto the stone surface.

He saw a letter hanged to the metallic pod that was half buried into the stone surface which read.

When he tried to open the pod, his biological information was rejected a few times but then he looked at Artoria X who looked at him as if waiting for order.

"You give it a try." Ray told her and when she tried, it opened up on the first try.

What he saw make him feel mixed feelings if he should thank or curse Zelretch who seems to know he will mistakenly named her and just after that Zelretch send him the red theme Mysterious Heroine X outfit and two sword that he is very familiar with, the red and blue sword Secret Calibur

After she wears the outfit, Ray sees two skill gems underneath it. One is Swordsmanship and another is Secret Calibur which seems to be for Artoria. He let her use both before they returned home.

Fast forward 2 years later, 7 years before the canon. Ray had made more progress with establishing his faction in Kuoh after his successful trade of 2 Blood Stone with Grigori and 1 with Underworld. He traded the Blood Stone for many things like which includes information mostly from Grigori and artifact from Underworld.

One of the thing he trade from Underworld is a chunk of territory on the left side of the town where his cafe is located at while the right side of the town is where the Kuoh academy is located.

He made a massive expansion underground after he spend two third of his initial money to buy up almost the whole block and set up a private company to sell stuff he created as surplus from his space fleet project like better or near futuristic looking furniture, appliances and devices to earn him money.

His cafe had been changed to a restaurant for normal and high class dining after he feel that cafe earn much less than a real restaurant because of emergence of male population that crowd his cafe just to take a look at the waitress and yet didn't pay much for staying hours looking at them.

His new restaurant was merged to another building on its left to expand the space. With the use of utility drones, he able to finish rebuilding it in under a week but few more weeks used to apply the foundation since he going to build a small city underground as his faction base.

The mix of futuristic and Victorian style buildings reminded him of the 40k universe style building. The underground city base are split into 4 parts where the administration buildings is in the middle while the outer part is split for other three to accommodate workshops, Healing Church and public area.

The workshop area take the largest split due to the training area, their living quarters, armory and actual workshops. The Healing Church take thd second largest for their healing wards and cathedral. The public area is for accommodating visitor of other factions, shops and market that sell variety of Yharnam's specialties. It also used to introduce Yharnamites other factions.

There was attempt of forceful poaching of people from Yharnam by the greedy devils, especially the haughty pillars clan heirs but easily thwarted by the Church Hunters lead by Ludwig that given the responsibility to peacekeeping the city.

The incidents cause a backlash on Underworld that they being banned from this city after that and they tried to bring their elders like those arrogant young masters but got slap back hard on their face and dignity when Kurumi easily handle the high class elder and toy him around.

Serafall and Sirzechs later personally tried to salvage the incidents since they really need the Blood Gem from Ray but the bad opinions on devil and Underworld already spreaded on Yharnam which cause outrage amongst majority of the population that everyone become trigger happy and wanted to launch a revenge for trying to kidnap a loyal believer of their god.

Ray was forced to leave his closed door cultiva- I mean, training. He is forced to halt his training to attend to this matter. He is willing to forgive the Underworld since he knew that the one that instigated this is the devil colluding with old satan faction and they did this on purpose but the people of Yharnam didn't forgive the Underworld and treated them with enmity.

Beside the Biblical Faction, the Vampire faction also established contact with Ray's faction after hearing from rumours about them having magical blood. They instantly become hooked up like an addict craving for more of the magical blood but it was heavily regulated and thus started a conflict between Tepes vampire faction and the Pale blood faction in the second year as they tried to forcefully obtain the blood by kidnapping the civilian.

But little did they know, due to Ray's divinity of [Blood] he has an innate suppression effect on the vampires since the progenitor of vampire is literally god of blood. Coupled with Ray's undying Hunters, the whole conflict didn't even last for more than a week before the Tepes being utterly annihilated by 70 thousands hunters as not even the familiars were spared except Valerie Tepes who Ray personally took under his wing.

His faction's overwhelming victory caused an uproar on the supernatural worlds since the whole events was broadcasted to anyone that interested to watch by Grigori. Their brutal way of combat and efficiency in tearing apart their enemies added with their unbreakable morale even as they were overwhelmed 1 to 20 at first due to the vampire having a lot of thrall, ghoul and lesser vampire.

The hunters didn't give up as they charged unrelentingly against overwhelming odds. When they died, they just resurrected on messenger lamp Ray had deployed along the battlefield and charged fearlessly. Every hunter had died at least a dozen times during the war but after each death, they charged with greater ferocity like a raging beast as they tore apart the vampire.

However the main star of the war is Ray who waited for a day before he took the field personally accompanied by the two vicars and three clerics who turned into wendigo like massive beasts with twisted horns, animal like fur and emitted devastating howls that sounded like enraged beasts.

The beast raged through the battlefield uncontested, especially Laurence who constantly leaked flaming blood that caused devastation to vampires as they are weak toward fire.

But Ray plowing through the battlefield like a meat grinder as his telekinetic knives and sword barrage decimated half of the enemies within a minute. His ability to manipulate almost everything also caused a massive uproar as his display of Kinesis to tear the underground catacomb open and bombard the vampires hiding underneath with concentrated light beams directly from the sun instantly vaporize the weaker one.

The sea of hunters soon pour into the opening made by Ray and continue their brutal slaughter until they encounter the strong vampire which most hunters struggle to fight as their weapons are unable to cut through. The haughty vampire looks down on them and feast on their blood but ends up on the floor convulsing because the hunters who regularly take in Ray's blood make it slowly concentrate in their body and it is too potent like someone tried to chug the 99.99 percent industrial alcohol.

The convulsing vampire was stabbed in the soft flesh through their orifices and the more crazy hunters mutilated their arms to force feed the vampire to make them weak before eviscerating them.

After Ray personally killed the heavily suppressed King Tepes easily with full power of [Zenith Sword Slash] that created a ravine as a service for the broadcast and to make him look strong to intimidate other factions from attacking his. Then he took the mind broken Valerie Tepes that King Tepes had in his room. Valerie had yet to have her Longinus extracted, only overused hence she only had a broken mind.

After fully uprooted the Tepes faction, they point their weapon on Carmilla Faction who are on total panic right now as the Pale Blood King undying army marching to their front door. This is because some of the vampire from Tepes faction tried to buy their escape by selling out the others although was killed regardless if they share or not.

Turn out that a big portion of the Carmilla faction vampire supporting the invasion. Grigori governor Azazel personally went and pacify Ray before they turn the war into a genocide.

However, even without Azazel intervention. The Queen Carmilla herself had literally prostrated to Ray offering a total surrender before calling him Lord Progenitor. Later the vampires faction official become the first vassal for Ray in his conquest of this world although totally by accident and unplanned.

Truly having a high luck is bullshit especially in his ero world where he was literally spoon fed a faction full of beautiful vampires that now worship him as their god, the Progenitor Blood God.

Ray even thinks that the administrator had a hand in this one. No way there could be such coincidence that he has the innate ability to suppress the vampire through his weakest divinity of [Blood]. There is surely some other god in this world with the same divinity.

Another few years passed with nothing much happening except he took the Boosted Gear from Issei in the fifth year. In the final year before the canon started, he managed to create an Artificial Sacred Gear using mostly material he created himself and what he collected during the nine years of waiting and preparing.

The sacred gear isn't something grand but able to be mass-produced if he wanted to. The gear is a Chikage or Evelyn that can allow its host to use Bloodtinge effect even with the appropriate ability like Cainhurst people to use blood of their enemies to empower or make a burst attack when enough blood is tainted by the weapon without have the self harm effect of the original Bloodtinge.

He used the master servant contract as the base for the binding and created an incomplete soul fragment to hold the property then added them to the weapon to create the artificial sacred. It may sound simple but he spent more than six year of trial and error to get it to work as intended. The hardest part was to find a catalyst to hold the soul fragment on the weapon which he ended up creating a soul storage device in the form of a gem which he embedded on the weapon. This idea was achieved after extensive research on the green orb on Boosted Gear that houses Driag's soul.

This creation provides him better understanding of making Artificial Sacred Gear and to evolve his own longinus gear. The one evolved is the Incinerate Anthem which evolved after he added Scáthach's concept of Gae Bolg. The reverse causality effect causes his flame stake when activated will definitely pierced his enemy heart. The result of the attack will definitely cause the stake to pierce the enemy regardless of action. The destiny itself rewrites the causality of the attack to always end with the opponent being pierced by the flaming stake.

That attack however is quite weak since it will only pierced the enemy and they can remove it after the effect has happened. To fix that, the secondary effect is his original idea for the evolution, Kazikli Bey effect where more stake can sprout out of the initial stake that raises up to the sky like a tree growing its branch or simply grows out of every direction and bursts the impaled body inside out.

Sure enough it evolved from being an orb of purple flame into a chain spear like Enkidu chain but blazing in purple flame constantly and able to turn the chain part into solid polearm making it a spear in base form while the Balance Breaker mode will create a domain that can spawn the chain or spear anywhere and endlessly which is perfect to clear weaker enemy or to bind them in place.

Thus he named this subspecies of Incinerate Anthem as Incinerating Impalement of Mortality. Combination of Kazikli Bey and Gae Bolg name since it now holds its effect in it.

Although he had never used it publicly, he did try it on the planet where he created Artoria X. The effect of the Balance Breaker is truly marvelous, it create a domain center at the spear which at full capacity can reach more than a kilometre that sprout spear and chain spear anywhere in a dome shape space. He can even sprout it midair which make him think this Longinus is best for a 1v1 against strong evil type enemy because of the restraining effect and the sprouting spear effect.

The last notable thing that had happened is his space fleet construction is completed after 7 years although the expected completion date is within 5 year because they ran out of certain metal that required to create the durable alloy for the battlecruiser hull.

They also not deployable yet because he creating a device similiar to an AI core to command the fleet without the need of manning the whole fleet. The core will be used to house one of Ray's thoughts which connected to a huge network of basic to intermediate AI which micromanage the fleet on the finer command.

The core are the first ever Technomagic created with the combined effort of Azazel and Ray. Azazel of course oblivious of this since he only helped on creating the vessel that will house the thoughts or soul fragment. The core was a failure since he underestimated the strain of commanding hundred of fleet with just one of his thoughts even with help of a lot of AI.

However he found another way around since his thoughts is just too fragile to handle the strain then he just create a clone to house a split soul of him but with a lot of safety features just in case his clone gone a little rouge. One could never be too careful especially after his split soul once made him a marriage contract behind his back with Queen Annalise where he will marry him when he is a 'mature' Great One.

In a certain planet 5 light years away from Earth, a black haired man can be seen in a dim room filled with various mechanical parts and preserved body parts like brains in a large tube filled with nutrient fluid.

"The body is not needed… THIS WILL WORK! I finally found a way to reduce the size of the core!" Ray shouted upon finished his recent experiment.

"I just need to find a way to preserve and supply nutrition to the brain but… using technology is rather inefficient."

"Fuck! Its inefficient! Inefficient!" Ray shouted like a madman before he immediately stop and think about something.

"How could I forget… I just need to create a very potent source of vitality and use it to sustain the brain!" Ruffling his unkempt hair, he think and think until he found this idea.

Then Artemis suddenly appeared in the lab before looking at Ray with hint of worry in her eyes.

"Master, please take some rest. Even an if you would not get tired or hungry, master shouldn't keep working non stop like this." Artemis try to convince Ray.

"Mhm, I will do it when I'm done. The core are almost done… I need just few more days." Ray replied naturally without shifting his sight from his experiment.

"That is what you always say… Its been almost a year you cramp up in your lab. Everyone is worried about master's health!" Artemis finally snapped and shout at him.

"But… I almost there, only few more days. Please?" Ray pleaded.

"No! You come with me back home now or I will never see you again. I'm willing to self destruct if that is what I need to make you leave you man cave." Artemis no longer using her usual speech of calling him 'Master' or herself as 'Artemis'.

"Haah… at least let me clean up first. Those materials are volatile and very precious." Ray finally compromised as he rarely able to resist his lovers' word.

"Hmn, also clean yourself. Those stain from 5 months ago still stick on your coat." Artemis calmed down and help him get cleaned up and get dressed again.

When they are ready to leave, Ray gave an order to the AI that manage his lab. "Put the lab on lock down mode and put the specimen storage unit on absolute zero."

(Initiate Lock Down mode… storage unit had been flash freeze and will retain absolute zero temperature.)

"Let's go then… I start to miss Tsukuyomi and Shinano tails." Ray said as Artemis unsummoned herself before Ray use Dimension Shift to return back to his home in Kuoh.

"Welcome back, Master" two rows of maids greeted him as soon as he arrived.

"Ah, hello everyone…" Ray said as he looked around to find his harem which was nowhere to be found.

"Let's go" Artemis summoned herself before dragging Ray to the common room while giving the maids some hand signals. The maids nodded and quickly disbanded and vanished somewhere.

"Where is everyone? Also why does it feel strange… its too silent over here. Usually we have maids all over the place." Ray said after seeing the rooms and the hallway he passed are empty.

"Just follow me and you'll know."

When they reached the double door ro the common room, they entered the room while Artemis asked Ray to cover his sight.

"Cmon, open your eyes now… stupid" Artemis said before giving a light punch to his side.

When he opened his eyes, Ray saw the well decorated room with almost every important person like the covenant leaders, his wives and even his other companions like Scáthach, Ikaros, Artoria X and Shinano.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAY" some shouted, some just said it out but everyone congratulated him.

"Finally someone left his man cave." Scáthach said as she look at him with slight disappointment.

"I know that you love your research and see it as your passion although temporarily. It's better than wasting your time visiting those shady Yokai massage parlor or Cabaret clubs." Scáthach gave him a side eye look.

"But you should also remember about yourself and your people here. You are the leader of a faction, not a full time researcher. You have your own responsibility to do… Understand?"

"Yes… shishou" Ray said with his head lowered.

"As long as you understand. Now no need to be depressed, we are celebrating your birthday after all and this is just the start. We have more in Yharnam later tonight to celebrate your birthday."

"Yes"

They celebrated his birthday at his home before moving on to Yharnam, which is packed with people. There are even a few invited visitors from other factions to participate in the celebration that lasts till the next morning.

Ray also spends his time the next week with his wives and companion on a luxury space cruise ship and travels the space while sightseeing the beautiful scenery of the cosmos. They also visited a few exotic planets like that one planet that glows in beautiful purple light and it has weird flora and fauna that look very fantasy-like but sadly they cannot stay for long due to it being an incompatible environment for Ellen who is a human.

They also harvested several beautiful crystals to make into ornaments or decorations from asteroids after they decided to do rock gambling but with asteroids instead of raw stones.

After that, Ray returned to his research again but spend the Sunday to spend time with his companions and managing the stacked up paperworks for approving certain stuff that Laurence think needed Ray's approval like the recently the Queen Carmilla requested to increase the volume of blood vials traded to them from 100 vials per month to 150 vials. In exchange, they increase their supply of raw magic materials which Yharnam used to produce a variety of healing items when mixed with the healing blood to produce extra effect.

After ten full years passed since he arrived at DxD, the canon almost started right before the Kuoh Academy reopened.

Ray already finished the whole core creation and is now able to give the fleet any order to autonomously carry out. He also made small progress with Boosted Gear but certain stubborn overgrown lizard refused to cooperate and even actively interfere with his experiment.

"I refuse! This is a violation of my right of freedom as a person!" The voice transmitted to Ray's head.

"You isn't even a fucking human, there isn't any mention of dragon given right of freedom in any law of the world. PLUS you a dragon. A DRAGON, the Dragon Emperor of Domination, the Sekiryutei."

"I don't give a damn about that, I want my right of freedom. You forcefully kidnapped me from my original host, forced me into becoming your lab rat for inhumane experimentations and even forced me into… those humiliating form." Draig keep shouting at Ray to refuse the experiment.

"What is humiliating about it? Even Ophis the Ouroboros dragon god has this form and that tail isn't humiliating at all. Those fluffy creations of god are the greatest thing ever existed in the universe." Ray argues back trying to defend his opinion.

"Regardless, I refuse to take that form at all. Nope never, spare me from that. I would rather become a small house lizard than take on that form." Draig spoke with finality.

"I fail to see the problem. You didn't have a set gender right? Then just taking this form as your base form isn't really a problem at all. Your combat form for now is still the red gauntlet and no one will know about this." Ray tried to convince Draig again.

"No! I will not fall for your lies, I've seen your plan to turn me into one of abominations. I'm a proud Dragon Emperor of Domination, I will not degrade myself into an animal like underaged girl."

"No no no Driag, you have to understand. The law of ero world dictate that such beautiful or adorable girl is always the strongest. As you can see from Ophis the Dragon God of Infinity, if you exclude the hermit Great Red, she is the strongest being in this world." Ray made a mental PowerPoint presentation to explain to Draig his point.

"Really?" Draig asks unsurely while Ray takes advantage of Draig's moment of mental weakness to give mental suggestions to make it agree.

"Yes… you just have to trust me, I will make you the cutest and most beautiful in this world that your power level inflates so high that you can easily defeat Ophis with one hit." Ray tried to influence Draig but managed to break free from the mental suggestion.

"Shit! You use that disgraceful method again." Draig complained.

"Haah" Ray feel that it's hopeless and cut off the mental conversation before continuing devising new methods and destressing himself with a visit to the off brand doujin site using Cosmic Guidance to peer into other universe.

While he is doing his 'research', he suddenly gains an insight to his predicament. Why is he bothered to keep Draig consciousness at all? All he needs is Draig's knowledge and ability, he can implant another consciousness to take over the soul.

Ray quickly stops his 'research' and starts the modification of Draig's soul. He needs to test first with a fake clone to estimate the success rate of the soul modification operation.

One terrified but forcefully muted Dragon looks at the modification process and sees that it was indeed successful. Ray then moved to the real one.

"Please have mercy oh lord- no master, I I'm willing to do whatever you want… just don't remove my consciousness. Please!" Draig instantly begs Ray when he is unmuted.

"Then you will take that form." Ray replied flatly without any room to refuse.

"At least spare me from those tail and ears?" Draig ask warily as he is afraid Ray might change his mind and continue with the modification.

"Hum… The modification will degrade the gears power… Well seeing that you are cooperative, I will grant your request."

Draig was terrified as Ray didn't put any importance on it at all. He placed the gear effectiveness above its existence. The Heavenly Dragon who once rampaged through the world. The Heavenly Dragon is now nothing more than a dressed up doll for this deranged captor that keeps experimenting on it.

Usually, Draig was experimented on to change his origin as a dragon into another creature like Kyuubi or Vanagandr to gain the furry appendage instead of his scaly tail of a dragon. If only the old man from heaven didn't seal half of his power, he wouldn't suffer like this.

"Now the body is done, time to fit your soul into it…" Ray looks at the plain body without any feature while bonding the Boosted Gear to the body to make it part of the gear so that he can summon and unsummon it like the gauntlet.

The process didn't take much time to complete before the body started to undergo changes. A pair of golden and red horns grow on the crown of her head while long crimson red hairs grow until they reach the thighs like Ophis. The eyes are emerald green like the orb of the gauntlet that appeared on her left arm. She also has the wings and tail from the original Scaled Mail form grow out from her back.

"Hmn… Although not exactly fluffy like Tsukuyomi or Shinano but… will smash. A new flavor once in a while is something good according to shishou." Ray looks at Draig's new form while evaluating her. When Ray licks his lips, Draig shivers down her spine before unsummoned herself immediately.

"I never thought the Heavenly Dragon would be shy. Even Ophis proudly show most of her body with those risque outfit."

"I'm not shy, your gaze on me feels dangerous. I feel like you're trying to devour my flesh with your eyes." Draig answered.

"Well, dragon flesh is a rare delicacy. Perhaps I should try some…"

"Stoppu! Let's continue with your research. You still have more of them pending right?" Draig quickly diverted the conversation but saved when Artemis arrived.

"Ray, the day had arrived. I came to inform you as you asked." Artemis informs Ray.

"Oh, the Kuoh Academy is reopened. Then the canon had started… Put the lab on lock down mode."

(Lock Down mode initiated) The AI replies before the lab starts to close everything and lock all storage units to prevent any disturbance until Ray returns again.

"Let's return to our home. The preparation time has ended. Now we will start for real." Ray said before he returned to Earth with everyone.
