Chapter fifty one Rules

Tyler groans and opened his eyes and saw Fabian sitting on his sofa. "Good morning little brother," Fabian said with a smug grin on his face. "What are you doing here?" Ty asks stretching sleepily. "I was just wondering if sleeping in the nude is a new habit of yours or were you really hot last night?" Fabian asks laughing. "Do you know the definition of privacy brother?" Ty asks putting on his robe and walking towards the bathroom.

He came back out a few minutes later and Fabian hadn't moved. "Don't you have somewhere else to be?" Tyler asks annoyed. "You broke the rule," Fabian said with a wicked smirk. "What rule?" "The no committing fornication under my roof rule." He said imitating his father's voice. "Well since all of you have forbidden me from moving out of this house again, that was bound to happen sooner or later but on the other hand you can't prove that I did." "Oh, but I can, I saw a dark skin angel leaving your room early this morning as I was entering mine and I know that those bright marks on your neck and chest aren't mosquito bites."

"Bloody hell, you aren't planning on sharing this information with mom and dad are you?" "Nope, but I thought Christians weren't supposed to do things like that." "We weren't supposed to okay, It wasn't planned, it just happen." Ty mumbles. "I'm just glad you guys finally did it, the sexual tension between the both of you was getting a little overpowering," Fabian said walking over to the window.

"I hope you remember to use protection," Fabian said firmly. "Um….well," Ty scratched his head and Fabian swung around and face him." "What? You didn't? Come on bro you know better than that." "I do but it happened so fast the first time that we….." "Whoa wait, the first time; how many times did you do it?" "About three but she doesn't have any disease and she can't get pregnant, so no harm done right?" "You're kidding right?" Fabian asks with his arms crossed. "Come on bro give me a break, it's not like I plan this."

"Alright, I'll drop it for now, so since you pass your evaluation when do you go back to work?" Fabian asks. "I have a meeting with the chief of staff this morning and if that goes well I should be back at work by Monday." "Aright then drive safely, I'll see you later," Fabian said punching Tyler's shoulder and running from the room before Ty could punch him back.

Janice looks up from her morning Bible reading and saw Ty standing at her door fully dressed and damn did he look divine. "Hi," He said entering her room. "Hi," She said softly as he walks over to her and sat beside her. "Um…about last night…I…" He was about to continues but she put her finger over his lips. "Before you continue there's something I need to say." "Why don't I like the sound of that?" He asks in a worried tone.

"Last night you told me you love me." She began. "I did and I do." "I love you too Ty but as much as I do, I have to let you go." She said as tears ran down her cheeks. "What do you mean by that?" "I don't consider myself a selfish person Ty but last night I was been selfish because it was more about what I need and not what you need and I'm sorry." "I don't understand." He said in a sad tone. "Ty I know how desperately you want a child and I can't give you one, so I'm not going to stand in the way of you being with someone who can give you a family."

"You can't be serious; you're not really thinking of walking away from me after what we shared, are you?" "It would be selfish of me to stand in the way of you being a father." "But last night….I…thought that we could be together, a new beginning." he sigh sadly. "I've always fantasized about what it would feel like to be with you and last night was beyond anything I could ever have imagined." She said walking over to her window.

"It was the most wonderful experience I've ever had with a man and I'm glad that man was you, but we both know that a relationship based on physical attraction alone can't last." Without saying a word Ty snorts, got up, and turns to leave but she stops him by grabbing his hand. "You've to know how hard this is for me, the fact that I can't give you children is ripping me to shreds; Ty I would love nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you but I can't give you what you need." She cried wiping her eyes.

"You told me that with your illness you've to make every day count and that's why I've to let you go…so that you can make the most of the time you have now." She cried. "I thought that was what we were doing last night." He said sadly. "Ty can you honestly tell me that you could be truly happy spending the rest of your life with me even though I can't give you a child?" She asks looking him in his eyes. He looks down at her and dares the words to come out of his mouth but they couldn't and he knew if he was really honest with himself he would have to admit that she was right.

A part of him wanted nothing more than to say he could but he just couldn't voice the words. "Exactly, so please don't be upset with me, I love you and I really hate to cause you any pain." She cried hugging him. "I know….I…um… I've to get to my meeting…. I'll um….see you later." He said pulling away from her and leaving the room.

Ty fixed his shirt as he enters the kitchen so his parents wouldn't see the red spots on his neck. "Hi son, are you ready for your meeting?" His father asks as Ty hugs him and then his mother. "Yeah, is Caleb here?" He asks as his mom pours him a glass of juice. He left early this morning; he seems very busy with work and classes. His mom said. "Not to mention his other activities." His father adds. "Okay, see you later." He said in a sad tone. "Are you okay son?" His father asks in concern as he got up and came over to Ty. "I'll be alright." He said with a weak smile. "Drive safely son, I love you." "Love you too mom."

"How did it go?" Jason asks as Ty took a seat next to them in the canteen. "Good, I'll be back to work on Monday, so how are you settling in Jess?" "Great it's a very nice house, Chad loves it a lot." "How's the investigation going?" Ty asks. "They're doing their best I guess, so far they have concluded that it was faulty electric wires that started the fire." She said with a painful groan.

"The damages have been estimated at over a million dollars, Chad is in constant contact with the insurance company. Most of the things I lost can't be replaced but despite everything that happened I still have so much to be grateful for." Jess said with a sad smile. "And we'll be buying your house by the way." She adds. "Whatever suits you guys, no rush, I know it's hard, just know that if you need anything we're all here for you," Ty said massaging her hand.

"So are you going to tell us or do we need to drag it out of you?" Jess asks. "What are you talking about?" Ty asks innocently. "She's talking about those bright red spots on your neck that you're trying so desperately to hide." Jason laughs. "I don't want to talk about them," Ty said flatly. "You don't, but we do, so spill." Jess urge. "Okay long story short, Janice and I committed fornication last night which was wrong and it won't be happening again the end," Ty said sadly.

"What do you mean the end? Now that you got the first time out of the way, why aren't you making her yours?" Jason asks. Ty groans and ran his hands over his face. "You did hear me say I didn't want to talk about this right?" Ty asks annoyed. "O for God's sake man spit it out," Jason ordered. "I wish I could alright but I can't, this morning she told me that we can't be together because she can't give me children." He said with tears in his eyes.

Jason groans and rolls his eyes at Ty. "You guys are giving me a serious case of heartburn but here's what I know, the both of you were made for each other and no matter how many excuses you come up with eventually the both of you are going to be together, now we've to get back to work so go home and get some rest," Jason said firmly. "Or you could have an encore to last night," Jess said wiggling her brows.

"Trust me, we have already covered the encore and the sequel." Ty mumbles. "Whoa really?" Jason asks arching his brow. "Really, and as much as I would love to spend the rest of the day in her arms that's not going to happen so, on to plan b." "Which is?" Jason asks. "I think it's time Martin and I have a little chat."

"No, hell no, stay the hell away from that lunatic." Jason orders. "Easy Jase, I got this." "Like hell you do, you just got the ok to come back to work and you want to go upset yourself again and have another relapse, no T J no, I think it would be best if you avoid that asshole for let's say another six years," Jason said angrily. "I second that." Jess states. "Ok then, I'll holler at you guys later," Ty said getting up. "Go home T J!" Jason orders pointing towards the exit. "Yes sir!" Ty replied saluting like a soldier.

Janice had just put Faith down for her nap when her phone rang. "Hello." She said softly. "Hey there girlfriend, you must be glowing right about now," Christian said from the other end. "I am." She giggles. "Was it everything you hope it would be?" He asks. "Yes and more, a lot more." She said biting her lips. "So are you guys a thing now or what?" He asks excitedly.

"Or what." She said sadly. "I don't understand, what happened?" He asks in concern. "I love him Chris but I can't be with him. I have to let him go." She said with tears in her eyes. "But why?" Chris asks with a pout. "Because claiming him for myself knowing that I can't give him children is selfish Chris." She could now feel tears running down her face.

"I love him so much Chris, it hurts, it hurts so bad. I need him, I don't know how I'm going to live without him or see him with someone else but what else can I do." She cried. "Don't fret yourself peanut, one way or the other we'll figure this out." He said in a comforting tone.
