Ty switched off his engine, stepped from his vehicle, and was about to walk towards the front door but on seeing Caleb sitting by the pool, he turns in that direction instead. Caleb turns his head, saw him coming, got up, turns his head in the other direction, and tried to dry his eyes as best as possible.
"Stop doing that." Ty demands. "Doing what," Caleb asks trying to compose himself. "Stop acting as if you're not hurting because we all know you are." "Yeah, but this is on me so I deserve every ounce of pain I'm feeling right now." "I won't disagree with you there, and you know, they say you should never kick a man when he's down, so I apologize beforehand for the bruised jaw and busted lip," Ty said.
"What bruise jaw and busted li….." Was all Caleb said before Ty's fist connect with the side of his face? "Motherfuck…." Caleb swears staggering backwards and moving over to the grass he spits blood from his mouth.
"That is for not listening to me when I told you to stop," Ty said firmly. "Fuck….alright, I guess I deserve that too," Caleb said spitting more blood from his mouth. "You've gotten a lot stronger since the last time you punched me," Caleb said gently rubbing his cheek.
"Thanks to my wife, but I know for a fact that the punch you gave Devante at the airport packs a lot more force than this one." Ty snorts. "Thank you for that by the way." "Come on now, you didn't think I was going to let him just get on his flight and leave, did you?" Caleb smiled running his tongue on the inside of his mouth.
"Knowing you, not a chance." "Exactly, now, your punch does pack a certain amount of force little brother but it can in no way compare to one of mine." Caleb groans. "Does hurt like a bitch though." Caleb snorts nodding his head.
"Sorry, just had to get that off my chest and now that I have, how are you holding up?" Ty asks. "Not good, I mean I know I can't blame them for banning me from the funeral, I wouldn't want me there either but that means I won't even get to say goodbye to…. her." Caleb bite down on his busted lip to suppress his tears.
"Okay, come, sit," Ty said sitting down and patting the seat beside him, which after a few seconds Caleb reluctantly took. "Alright so I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I'm not still angry at you because I am but you're my fiercely overprotective brother and I love you, nothing you do will ever change that
And that goes for all of us. Actions have consequences and you are going to learn that the hard way. Now about the funeral, they don't want any of us there and like you said we really can't blame them." Ty sighs.
"Now, they're grieving and angry so we won't make matters worse but Fabian and I have arranged with the driver of the hearse for you to spend a few minutes with her body before he takes it from the funeral home.
Whatever you have to say, get it off your chest, you won't get another chance." Ty advise. "Why are you guys doing this for me?" Caleb asks, his head down. "Because, and I say again, you're our brother and we love you, besides, eventually you're going to move on, hopefully with the pretty little Aisha, you won't be able to do that if you're stuck in the past.
I remember you telling me that on more than one occasion, now it's your turn, and last but not least, we'll be your driver for that day, now I miss my wife, take it easy, alright." Ty said slapping Caleb's shoulder.
A few minutes later Ty quietly enters his bedroom and saw Janice laying across their bed asleep. He walks over to the bed and just stood there watching her with a smile on his face. He remembered how happy she was a few days ago to be finally leaving the hospital, to be going home, to sleep in her own bed and now here she was sleeping soundly, with that peaceful contented look on her beautiful face. A look he hadn't seen in a long time.
He wanted so badly to kiss her soft lips to wake her up, to lay his head on her stomach and listen to his baby's movements but after everything she had been through, waking her from a deep sleep probably wasn't such a good idea.
His shaft sprang to life as he took in the full length of her curvaceous body, full breasts, and delicately shaped legs, he groans deep in his throat as he moves away from the bed and walk towards the bathroom. It always amazes him how easily she excites him, even when she wasn't even trying.
The sound of running water penetrates her dreams and she slowly opens her eyes and sat up in the bed. The first thing she noticed was Ty's medical bag on the sofa. A bright smile spread across her face as she crawls off the bed and walks toward the bathroom.
"Baby?" she calls softly. Ty wraps a towel around his waist and steps from the bath right into his wife's open arms. "Hi, kitten." He chuckles as she pulls him close to her and kissed him so passionately his toes curled.
"Wow kitten, wow, that was amazing, I love the way you kiss me, hm….wow." "Why didn't you wake me?" She asks with a sexy pout. "Sorry kitten, I wanted to, I really wanted to but….i didn't want to….I didn't want you to….."
"Jump out of my skin." She finishes for him. "Yeah, something like that but then again you wouldn't be so jumpy if people weren't attacking you left right, and center." "True and it still isn't over because Kayla is still out there, no one knows where she is and I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared." She said softly.
"And that's why I'm getting you another bodyguard…." "No, no more guards, I won't let anyone else get hurt because of me, no." She said as he took her hand and leads her from the bathroom.
"Kitten….." "No Ty, I couldn't live with that, what happened to Jayden was bad enough, I'm still having nightmares about that." "Okay kitten, breathe, deep breaths, shh, it will be okay, we'll work something out but please you have to remain calm alright."
"Okay," She said softly. "Did you take your pressure today?" He asks massaging her hands. "Mhm, it's still 140\ 85." "Still a little high, remember we have to keep a close eye on it okay." "Okay, baby but in the meantime, there is something you can do to keep me calm." She said wiggling her brows. "Yeah and what would that be?" He asks arching his brow.
"I'll give you a hint." She said grabbing off his towel.
