Chapter 192 Sunday Dinner

"What the hell are you doing here? Didn't I tell you to stay away from this house?" Caleb snaps as Maya walks through his front door. "How could I forget that my husband banished me from my home?" She asks holding her head high. "But your mother asks me to be here for Sunday dinner, now if you'll excuse me." She said pushing past him and walking into the dining room.

Dinner was almost over when Anna cleared her throat. "Um, I have an announcement." She said with a bright smile. "Oh great, she has found a man and now she's planning on marrying the bastard. Alright just let me get my knives, see if I can carve the fear of god into him." Caleb said pushing his chair back.

"What, wait, no, Sit!" Anna ordered and Caleb sank back down in his chair. "It's nothing like that." She said shaking her head in disbelief at her brother. "And when that happens brother, you and your weapons will stay far, far away from my future husband, got it?" She asks narrowing her eyes at him.

"Now, I'm planning on taking a break from my studies…." "What, why?" Ty asks. "Seriously dude let her finish." Fabian snaps. "Okay, so my reason is, Ty you're following in dad's footsteps, and Fabian is working for dad and expanding the business and I think it's time I follow in mom's footsteps, you know, learn her trade." She finishes.

"And I couldn't be happier." Their mother said with a bright smile. "Wow, okay sounds like a great idea." Caleb nods as he got up and hugs her. "Smart move sis." Fabian ads in agreement. "Wonderful idea," Ty said. "Thank you, everyone. My training begins tomorrow."

"So Amara, with miss Alice taking care of Ty's children and miss Mona taking care of the house. Who will be helping you with your bundles of joy when they arrive?" Maya asks. "Um, one of Fabian's cousins will be helping me, she's a trained nurse," Amara said massaging her stomach.

"Hmm, strange how I also had a baby for one of the Jackson brothers and I didn't get any of these special treatments that have been going around." She snorts.

"That is because you wanted your mother to help you. From the moment you gave birth she has been there for you and Annalee, so why are you complaining now?" Caleb asks in a cold tone as he sat back down.

"I'm not complaining, it just hurts that Fabian and Ty couldn't wait to announce that they were going to be fathers but I was the one who had to announce my pregnancy minus all the perks." She said in a jealous tone.

"That's on you, you should've let me do it in my own time." 'Oh please, if I had waited on you they probably still wouldn't have even known about me and we wouldn't be married right now." "Great so all is well that ends well, why are we talking about this again?" Caleb asks in frustration.

"Because It has not gone unnoticed by me that you've banished me from this house and no one seems to care." She snaps. "Maybe it's karma," Janice said softly. "Excuse me? Karma? Because I refused to be associated with…"

"Anyway on to more productive things," Ty said cutting Maya's sentence short with a cold glare. "I think Caleb also has an announcement." "You do? Well, come on then, out with it." Fabian urges.

"Well right now it's just an idea," Caleb said in a nervous tone. "What is it, son?" His mother asks. "Um.. okay…so I was thinking of opening my own security company." He holds his breath and waited for his family's reaction.

"I think that's a very bad idea, you're already violent enough, you don't need to be surrounded by people who are only going to fuel your violent nature," Maya states. "I think it's a great idea," Janice said. "Of course, you would," Maya grumbles.

"Think of all the people you could help," Janice adds ignoring Maya's comment. "You been at the top of that list of course," Maya grumbles again. "I agree with Janice." His dad said. "Why am I not surprised" Maya snorts. "How far are you with the planning of this project son?" "Doesn't matter, it's a stupid idea," Maya said firmly.

"It's not stupid, I already have contacts in the police department, friends at the Guard man group of companies, two very good lawyers to make sure I stay within the law, investors from three agencies, and a constant supply of tracking devices/ panic buttons which will be sold along with other devices at our location and you've all seen first hand how effective these devices are. I also found a building that I think can work as our headquarters, I just wanted to get your approval on it first dad before going ahead" Caleb finishes.

"Excellent, first thing tomorrow morning we will go take a look at it. Is everyone in agreement that he should go ahead with this?" His dad asks. 'Yes." They all answer in unison. "I still say it's a very bad idea." "Yeah well, you're outnumbered," Amara said trying to suppress a laugh.

"Besides as the saying goes, it's better to try and fail, than never to try at all." His dad says. "I thought that it was its better to love and lost than never to love at all?" Fabian laughs out loud.

"Eh, you get the point. Wonderful dinner as usual sweetheart." He said getting up and kissing his wife's forehead. "If anyone needs me, I'll be in my study." He said before leaving the room.
