"And I'm Tyler, now can someone please tell me what is going on here?" Ty asks standing next to Samson. "Well, when my daughter told me that a friend from school invited her to his cousin's birthday I had no idea that the friend from school was your cousin and that the friend's cousin was your daughter," Samson said taking a deep breath.

"Did you all just arrive here together?" Ty asks. "No, I gave her permission to attend the party so she left before me, only for me to come here and realize we were actually coming to the same party." Samson snorts. "Okay then, so you're the father of Scott's new best friend and you're the daughter of my new best friend." Ty laughs looking at Jasmine and then Samson.

"And dad, this is Scott," Jasmine said with a shy smile as Scott put his hand out for Samson to shake it, which he did. "I've heard a lot about you, I feel like I already know you but it's good that I can now put a face to the name," Samson said with a smile.

"Now why are you two so shocked to see each other?" Ty asks Jay. "Well, when my girl told me she was escorting her niece to a party I didn't expect to see her here," Jay said biting his lips. "Wait your girl? You have a girl? Since when?" Ty asks in surprise." "Since I decided to crawl out from under my grief and start living again," Jay said. "Good for you," Ty said slapping his cousin on his shoulder.

"Now let me get this straight, you're her aunt?" He asks Dana. "Yes." "And she's your daughter?" He asks Samson. "Yes." "So that would make her?" He asks pointing to Dana. "My sister-in-law." Samson said with a smile. "huh huh and how long have you been seeing my cuz?" He asks Dana. "Four months now, but we've both been through a lot so we're taking things very slowly." She said.

"Well life is short, so don't move too slow," Ty said with a wide grin. Ty was about to say something else but Janice interrupt him. "Baby, it's time to sing happy birthday." She said in her soft voice. "Alright, this way everyone and guys you can put all those presents over there."

They were all gathered around singing happy birthday when Caleb came and stand beside Christian. "Hey, cuz, how well do you know that dude?" He asks indicating to Jared. "Very well, why?" "Do you really think he's someone you can trust?" "Again, yes, why?" Christian asks as his heart pounds faster.

"Not sure, there's just something off about him, I can't put my finger on it but there's something shady about that dude," Caleb said glaring at Jared. 'There's something shady about me too.' Christian thought taking a deep breath.

"Look you're my caring, soft-spoken and short, let's not forget short little cuz and I'll not let anyone take advantage of you, in any way alright so tell your friend that I'll be keeping a very close eye on him," Caleb said with a sharp nod. 'I wonder if you would feel the same way if you knew I was gay.' Christian thought to himself.

"And I appreciate that more than you know but let me put it this way, I trust Jared as much as you trust your best friend Alan to keep your dirty little secrets," Christian said with a smirk as they watch Faith cut her massive birthday cake with the assistance of her parents.

"Whoa, what dirty little secrets? I don't have any dirty little secrets cuz." Caleb said in a defensive tone. "Oh, okay, so then I guess your parents already know that you're just stringing Maya along with no intention of marrying her and that you also have no problem using her to satisfy your sexual needs, wherever you choose, even right here," Christian said with another smirk.

"Alright shush and let me explain." Caleb began but Christian stop him. "Save it cuz, but take my stupid advice and sort your shit out before you cause irreparable damage to that poor girl," Christian said slapping his shoulder before walking away.

Samson was watching his kids as they play with Faith and her other little friends when Caleb came and stand beside him. "You again, I hope you weren't stupid enough to bring a weapon into my home," Caleb said in a hostile tone. "I know men like you don't go anywhere without your piece."
