After a short intermission, I appear in the center of the arena in a burst of flame. The crowd goes crazy at my appearance and start cheering and clapping. I think I've become pretty popular during this tournament.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Good evening! This is the last match of the 70s section and will decide the winner of this portion of the tournament. The winner will be given 500,000 gold crowns and the offer of a high-level position in the royal army!" I announced as the crowd thunders with cheer.

I guess the prospects of earning such a ridiculous sum of money excites them. To put things into perspective, a normal family living in the capital will make around 4 gold crows a year. The amount being given away is more than they can make in 100,000 years, and that is only for the weakest section in the tournament.

"Now, let's not waste any more time than we already have. Let's welcome the final contenders of this section, Thomas Winslow!" I announce and he enters the arena, fully healed, and ready to fight. The crowd cheers and claps for the underdog. "And his opponent, The Wall!" When I called out Thomas's opponent, the crowd went completely insane. Anyone could easily tell who the favorite in the match is. "The match will follow the same rules as previously stated. Are both contenders ready?" I ask and they both nod at me. "Good, as usual, the match will start at my disappearance. Good luck."

Upon the end of my speech, I vanish in a flash of fire. This signals the beginning of the fight and both fighters get into their respective stances. Before either could make a move, a staring match ensued between both of them. It didn't last long, but they definitely were sizing each other up.

Once the staring match ended, The Wall dashed forward at Thomas with surprising speed for someone so huge. As The Wall dashed forward, Thomas dodged for his life. Seeing this, The Wall changes his trajectory and goes after Thomas once again. This continues as Thomas continues to dodge The Walls fervent attacks. Both contestants are fighters, so no magic will be seen during this match. No matter how fast The Wall may be for his size, Thomas is faster and never stops dodging. With every attack, Thomas is always out of The Walls reach.

On the Royal balcony area of the coliseum, My parents and I sat and watched the match.

"Who do you think will win?" I ask my parents.

"I think The Wall will win. He's a higher rank and he was very impressive in his earlier matches." My father states.

"I agree with your father, but I do hope Thomas wins. We wouldn't want to disappoint his son after all." My mother replies.

"Hmm, I want Thomas to win as well, but that will be difficult if all he does is dodge." I nod my head in agreement with my mother.

"Well, he may only be dodging, but this may tire out The Wall." Mom replies.

"Yes, someone that big will definitely be burning a lot of energy right now." Father says.

After they said this, I noticed The Wall started to slow slightly. Sweat was forming on him and he started to breathe heavily. I guess that speed comes at a price. On the other side of things, Thomas is barely winded and still looks in top shape. The Wall seems to have noticed his position and started to up his speed even further. This could be seen as The Wall doubling his bet. This burst in speed will cost energy, and if he fails to land his attacks Thomas will have this win in the bag.

As The Wall burst forward in newfound speed, Thomas is caught completely off guard and tries his best to dodge. His best isn't good enough and he sent flying into the coliseum wall by a heavy punch. The coliseum vibrates slightly as smoke forms from the impact. When the smoke clears, a Thomas shaped outline could be seen in the wall. Thomas himself is already on his feet and seems to have broken his left arm. Eww, it's bent the wrong way and the bone is sticking out. If I didn't have to officiate this tournament then I would be looking away right now.

When The Wall sees his handy work, a sadistic smile forms on his face. Although this type of wound can be considered crippling on earth, here it isn't so bad and can be healed. Especially since I have Nova and Diana to do the healing if needed. With one arm out of commission, the odds of The Wall winning are higher than before. Thomas doesn't seem to be deterred, as he stares defiantly at his giant opponent.

The contenders burst into action again, as The Wall come barreling into Thomas with the same frightening speed as before. The speed seems to be catching up to him as The wall is covered in sweat. With each step, he takes his breathing becomes more rapid and heavy. Thomas on the other hand is bleeding from his left arm, but his dodging skills haven't lessened one bit. As his blood drips onto the arena floor, Thomas dances around every one of The Wall's attacks.

Thomas isn't losing blood at an alarming rate, but If this match drags on too long he may pass out. The cat and mouse game continues, and both contestants are starting to slow. One from exhaustion and the other from blood loss. Light shines in Thomas's eyes as The Wall shows an opening. While dashing towards Thomas, The Wall almost Tripp's and falls over. He caught himself in time, but in that small moment, Thomas saw his chance. With newfound vigor, Thomas kicked out at The wall's right leg.

Due to Thomas not attacking a single time during this entire fight, The Wall didn't expect the attack at all. As the attack landed perfectly, a crack could be heard from The Wall's leg. The Wall pulls his leg back away from his opponent's reach and tries putting his weight in it. That was a bad idea, as a look of excruciating pain appears on his face. Now that The wall will have trouble moving, Thomas instantly went on the offensive. The match was already over by this point. The wall couldn't move right anymore, and Thomas was dancing around him. After taking blow upon blow without being able to dodge properly, The wall falls to the ground unconscious.

Thomas just stands there with a dumb look on his face, and the crowd is to shocked to make a sound. I guess that no one expected the underdog to win, not even the underdog himself.

"The match has been decided! The winner of the 70s section is Thomas Winslow!" I appear in a flurry of fire and announce to the crowd. This seems to be a wake-up call to the crowd as they coliseum thunders in cheer. The crowd started chanting the winner's name, as the medical staff enters the arena to check everyone's wounds. "This marks the end of the 70s section of the tournament. Thomas will be awarded his winning before tomorrow's matches. If everyone would please orderly exit the coliseum. Have a good night and see you all tomorrow."
