Chapter Six

"What's wrong?" Jin Chen asked the crying woman in his arms, his voice flustered while rubbing her back.

"Nothing, I'm just happy. There's are tears of happiness," she replied while trying to make complete sentences with her shaky voice.

"Oh," he didn't dwell much on it knowing that they weren't familiar with each other yet. Maybe one day she'll tell him on her own accord.

Since their engagement was on a Saturday, they had the Sunday free without worrying about work. Jin Chen had his family's company as the CEO while Yang Lifei was the Vice President of her father's company while her brother was the CEO. Back then she had been tricked by her two best friends that the work was tiresome and didn't let her spend time with them making doubts grow inside her heart. When her brother was sentenced to jail, the workload and all the negative views from people shattered her completely leaving the company to her parents. Now that she thought about it, she had really taken a mile while she was given an inch. She took her family's pampering for granted. But she's not going to make the same mistake again.

Her tears had come to a stop but she didn't release herself form Jin Chen's embrace. She was savouring the moment she didn't get to in her past life. Whenever she'll get the chance, she'll throw herself at him. She's going to be the shameless one in this relationship.

"Feifei,"

"Hmm,"

"Why don't you move in with me?" He had always wanted her to stay by his side since he had known her, here was the chance and he was going to take it.

"Why? Do you want to torture me everyday like you did yesterday?" She decided to tease him.

"No, not really. I just want to wake up every morning with you by my side. Yesterday was the best sleep I've ever had. And I did apply some ointment for you so it shouldn't be that bad, right?" He explained. Jin Chen didn't want to be misunderstood by her.

"You did? No wonder I don't feel much pain like I expected and it feels...so cool," she stammered while burying her head in his chest. She was so embarrassed talking about topic with him. Though she had lived two lifetimes and they had been intimate, they were never so close to begin with so taking about it made her embarrassed.

"It's okay, no need to be embarrassed. But, will you?" He asked again, he didn't want to let go of the topic without a concrete answer.

"Okay. You're my fiance anyway so it's natural even if we live together. Even if you ask me to marry you right now, I'll do it," she said determined as she looked directly into his gentle eyes. They were so gentle that she felt like she was being drawn by them.

Jin Chen was shocked by her declaration. Just what changed? Seeing him look at her with those dumbfounded eyes, Yang Lifei really wanted to pinch his cheeks, he looked so adorable but his next words shocked her too.

"Then let's get married tomorrow." He declared, since she brought it up, he would better jump at it. Having her stay by his side as his wife was the best thing after all.

"Okay, but we wouldn't tell anyone for now." There are still some people I want to deal with, but she didn't say this out aloud.

"Sure, as long as you're my wife and, anything you want. We'll just let our parents continue with the wedding plans," they wouldn't interfere with their plans. Even though the wedding was planned to happen in a year, he was fine even if it wouldn't happen, she was already his wife, by tomorrow.

Their engagement wasn't known by the public just family friends and that even made it easier for Yang Lifei to mess with those bastards.

"Right, have you found the person who drugged me?" The Jin Chen from her previous life had wanted to punish the Xue and the Li families for messing with his fiance but Yang Lifei was against it saying that her friends would never do such a thing to her. How dumb! This time, she would be in the frontline for their destruction.

"Yes, do you want to know who?" When that topic was mentioned, his eyes became cold and the air around him became even colder.

"Nope, just don't ruin them completely. I want to play with them too. Is that okay?" She blinked her eyes at him like an adorable puppy and he couldn't just resist those eyes making the coldness in his eyes melt.

"Hmm, I thought you would want that," he said as he rubbed her head gently. Just then, Yang Lifei's phone rang breaking the harmonious atmosphere. Passing the phone to her, he glanced at the caller and his gaze sharpened.

Messing with my woman, you're courting death!

"Go ahead and answer the phone, I'll take these downstairs," he picked up the tray and made his way outside the bedroom.

"Alright, come back quick. You still need to give me a bath," he heard Yang Lifei's voice just as he closed the door and he almost laughed out loud. This woman was going to be the death of him, he thought. But he'll gladly do it without complains.

The smile on her face dropped the moment the door closed. Jin Chen would be surprised if her were to see that cold look on her face when she answered the phone.

"Hello," since she had always been a reserved person, her voice was always stiff even if these people were her friends.

"Feifei, where did you go yesterday? I looked for you all over the hotel. I was really worried," Xue Li said on the other side with her sweetly sick voice making Yang Lifei almost cringe in disgust.

"I wasn't feeling well so Jin Chen took me home," she wasn't planning to hide her affairs from Xue Li. Yang Lifei wanted to irk her so her true colours would be revealed when she least expected.

"What?" Xue Li almost spit blood. She had been taken away by Jin Chen, how? She had made the perfect plan but she still managed to escape. How did she even contact Jin Chen when she clearly had her purse.

"Yes, what's wrong?" She inquired not in the mood to carry on with the call. Jin Chen had already come back.

"Uh nothing. Just that some of my father's project ran into some trouble. Feifei could you please...,"

"Sorry I'm not feeling well right now. Let's talk later." Yang Lifei then hung up the call.
