"Ah—" A piercing scream echoed through the luxurious, antique room.
"I can't give birth anymore—, it hurts too much! Long Leilei you're a real piece of work. Wasn't one child enough? You had to stuff me with two, it's killing me..."
"Wife, hang in there, wife, you're the best. Yes, that's it, bite my arm hard, I don't feel any pain at all."
"Lord Long, you shouldn't be here while your wife is giving birth, please leave the room," the midwife urged anxiously.
"Bullshit, if he dares to leave, I'm not giving birth. I swear, I'll bite you, ah—"
The ear-splitting scream seemed to reverberate through the surrounding streets.
Gradually, the screaming began to subside.
"Wife, hang in there, the first one is on its way, victory is close at hand. Ah, the one behind, don't kick your brother! Why are you in such a hurry? Midwife, is it normal for the second one to come out feet first?" A frantic voice echoed around the room.
"Waah, waaah!" A clear baby's cry resounded through the room, the first one was finally born.
"Long … Leilei… don't forget... the jade... bracelet... you... promised... me…" his wife murmured weakly.
"Buy, buy, buy the transparent one that is entirely green."
"Fine, then... I'll... push... and... give birth... to... the... second... one..."
A moment later.
"Waah, waaah!" Just as loud as the first, an identical infant had also come out.
"Congratulations, Lord Long, it's another son. Twin boys. You and your wife are truly blessed!"
"What? Not even a single girl?" Long Leilei gaped in surprise.
"Long Leilei, what do you mean by that?" The voice of his wife became weak and intermittent as she nearly sat up.
"Sons are also good, sons are good, yes, sons are good." Long Leilei hastily reassured.
After another bout of chaos, the room finally quieted down.
Two identical babies lay side by side next to their mother.
Looking at his wife's pale face, Long Leilei was full of sympathy, "It's all because of these two little things, you really had a hard time, darling."
His wife gave him a sidelong glance and beckoned him over, tugging at his sleeve.
"Did it hurt!? I wasn't being gentle." She whispered.
"No pain, no pain, even if it did, could it compare to you giving birth? Is there anything more painful than childbirth for women?"
The woman gave a soft laugh, giving him another sidelong glance. But her eyes were full of tenderness, "Let's name our treasures."
Long Leilei nodded eagerly, "In our family, we use repetitive syllables for names, like me and my sister. She's called Long Shanshan and I'm called Long Leilei. I had already thought of one name, but I didn't expect you to give birth to two."
"What's the name you thought of?" the wife asked curiously.
Long Leilei proudly declared, "My son, he will no doubt be a strong and domineering figure in the future. How about using the word 'domineering', what do you think?"
His wife murmured the name, "Long Ba? The repetitive syllables would be, Long Baba?"
Long Leilei, excitement written all over his face, responded, "Exactly, that's it!" He failed to notice his wife's expression darkening.
"Should we name the other child after the character for 'numbing' then?"
"Why? Long Moma, doesn't sound good, does it?" Long Leilei didn't quite catch on yet.
"Slap!" The wife, barely holding herself up, slapped Long Leilei's hand, "Bullshit, who the hell names their son 'Baba'? Are you moron? Long Baba, Long Moma, only you could think of that."
"Ouch!" Long Leilei felt the sting of her slap before he finally got the point, his face becoming a little awkward, "Er, I didn't think of it that way! Anyway, you were the one who came up with Long Moma, not me."
"Are you trying to shirk responsibility?"
After a long while!
The couple thought of more than a dozen names but none were satisfactory. The wife became so frustrated that she stopped talking.
"Go, open a window, let some air in, I'm suffocating."
"Sweetie, you just gave birth, you can't catch cold."
"It's summer, what cold will I catch? Will you open it or not?"
"Alright, alright, I'll open it, I'll block the wind for you."
As he spoke, Long Leilei hurried to the window and opened it.
To prevent his wife from catching cold, he stood in front of the window, using his body to block the somewhat stuffy night breeze. As he looked up at the sky, he saw a full moon hanging high.
"Wife, I've got it, I've thought of our children's names. Tonight, there's a bright moon in the sky!"

"Under the Bright Moon" is a promise I made ten years ago. After finishing the Douluo novel series, I've always had in mind the loose end I left with "God's Seal Cathedra Rex". Therefore, I wrote "God's Seal Cathedra Rex: The Sky-piercing Divine Seal", and now this one. "God's Seal Cathedra Rex" only has this sequel. I hope you'll like it.
