Chapter 2

I was a bit surprised when Ilia decided to come with me,but I didn't think much about it. "Will you really follow me?" I asked her, seeking confirmation. "Yes, My lady, I will follow you wherever you will go." She said and knelt down. "Get up." I said while helping her up." Find out if there is any opening in the castle through which we can sneak out." I told her. " Yes, my lady." She replied. We went back to my courtyard as it was getting late, when we got there Ilia quickly went to prepare a hot water bath for me. After bathing, I ate supper and went to my room. Ilia also went to her room which was next to my room. I couldn't sleep, I didn't know if it was because I wanted to sneak out of the castle but I kept on feeling uneasy. I tossed and turned and later fell asleep. I woke up quite late, when I went out, Ilia was Infront of my room."Good morning my lady, I have prepared a hot water bath for you, and I'm going to get your breakfast, I didn't bring it earlier because you were asleep." She said. I nodded and went to bath, I came out and had breakfast. After eating, Ilia cleared the table, when she was done, she said " My lady, when you were asleep I went to all parts of the palace except the forbidden areas and I didn't find any opening." "Let's lay low for a while, surely we will find an opening." I told her. In the afternoon, I decided to take a stroll in the castle and before I stepped out of my courtyard, a palace maid maid approached me, curtsied and said " My lady, His majesty has summoned you to the throne room." "Lead the way." I replied "Yes, my lady." She said and led me to the throne room, I was wondering why dad summoned me because he rarely summoned me and anytime he did, it often ended in an argument. When we got to the throne room, the maid excused herself and the herald announced my arrival. " Come in." My dad said and I entered the throne room.
