Announcement (and short story)

I hope everyone's enjoying my book so far. It was so much fun to write. So, you may be wondering what this announcement's for. Well Volume 1 is finish. YAY!!

and I'm going on a Hiatus. Mhm. Writing this book is stressful and I need a break. Don't worry I have lots planned.

So, thanks for reading, I greatly appreciate it. Also, I have to make this like 500 words long so um here, a short story.

Hero stood on top of the hotel standing with his hands to his hips. He stared at the bright sun with a big smile. He then jumped down onto the nearest balcony.

Iris was sleeping in her bed peaceful as can be until Hero slammed the door open. "Let's go to the beach." He shouted.

Iris jumped up out of her sleep and glared at Hero,

"I'm sleeping."

"Not anymore!" Hero shouted rushing to Iri's suitcase and throwing out all of her clothes looking for her swimsuit. He found a two-piece swimsuit, the bottom was black short, and the top was a black swimming bra.

"Bathe and get ready, we're heading out soon." He said rushing to put on his swim trunks and hoody. He ran out of the room to let Iris change and called Zeke and Alex. Soon Iris was dressed, and a little bit upset that Hero woke her up. She headed downstairs with Hero and spotted Alex and Zeke. Zeke was in the driver's seat of the car and Alex was waving the two over.

"Yay, you made it. Come sit with me Iris!" Alex shouted from across the parking lot. Iris waved back and ran to the red head giving her a hug. Hero walked to the passenger seat and gave Zeke a high five.

"Yall ready?" Zeke asked, his sunglasses on and he was wearing a green palm tree print beach shirt over his red trunks. Alex was wearing a pink bikini with a white mini skirt.

The trip to the beach felt like forever for Hero who was trying to busy himself with his video game.

"Augh the crafting failed again! It's like this thing is rigged against me!"

"Maybe you just suck." Iris teased.

"Well i would like to see you try!" Hero shouted,

"Bring it on!" Iris responded basically leaving her seat.

"If you two start any problems I'm pulling over." Zeke calmly informed the two, the two sat back down at this warning, though they both snuck glares at each other. Soon they reached the beach. Alex was the first to exit the car, stretching a bit as she stared out at the beach,

"Oh my, this is so beautiful, and there's barely anyone here."

Hero slammed the door open and jumped out of the car,

"Yes! Freedom!" He shouted running to the backseat door and dragging Iris out. Iris complained as Hero basically threw her in the water.

"That wasn't funny!" Iris shouted as Hero laughed.

"Yes, it was." Zeke exited the car and tilted his hat to block the sun as he held a light smile on his face.

"What am I going to do about those two?" he sighed,

"Nothing honey, you know there's no way those two would ever calm down." Alex responded.

"Yeah, your right... Last one's there is a rotten egg!" Zeke shouted sprinting to the water,

"Hey! No fair!" Alex shouted back.

After lots of playing in the water Zeke ended up napping on a beach towel. Hero being the troublemaker that he is thought this was the perfect opportunity to prank him. Hero grabbed a shovel from the car, it was an industrial shovel and started burying Zeke from the neck down. Soon Iris joined in and smoothed down the sand, and Alex joined and placed a small drink umbrella in his mouth.

"Cheese!" They all shouted as they took a selfie waking Zeke up.

"What the! Petewe!" he shouted spitting out the umbrella and unearthing himself. He then chased the trio as until the sun set.

Soon the day was over and everyone, but Zeke was in the car sleeping. They were heading to a fast-food joint. Zeke woke everyone up and soon they went inside.

Zeke ordered a hamburger and fries. Iris ordered nuggets and a strawberry smoothie. Hero ordered five burgers with loads of fries. And Alex got a chicken wrap.

"Yall look at the camera."

Alex said waving her phone in her hand.

Everyone raised up the respective meal and smiled at the camera,

"Cheese!" they shouted enjoying their small vacation.
