Save The Dragon! - Chapter 3 "Advent Upon The Earth"
United States of Muricka, State of Ohio, Nowheretown
<Draco's Pov>
The radiant sun shone above the morning sky as I beheld the Son of Man, Whom I have chosen as the representant king of my most brilliant vice, Training tirelessly in the middle of the woods with his newly acquired baseball bat.
"You should probably finish up now, Little Reynard. The Advent will begin soon after all" I stated with my ever-majestic voice that could make even the first woman blush.
"I can't fucking take that irritating voice anymore, You're definitely using it on purpose!" The little man with a heart of dragons shouted accusingly with evident anger.
Ah yes, I had been talking non-stop with this voice since he pulled me out. But that was on purpose since I wanted to see his synergy with my sin.
"Spot on little Reynard! The anger of man is certainly most amusing when irritation is the cause" I stated plainly.
"Besides... You sound like a perfectly reasonable and calm person who wouldn't use the weapon in his hands to retaliate against a simple jest, Right?" I said with suffocating sarcasm.
"Thanks for the idea," He said before hurling his bat in my direction with unusually perfect accuracy.
Of course, it missed completely as lady luck was always on the side of those as handsome as I.
"Well, You just threw your weapon for no reason and potentially damaged it, Good on you chump," I said with an overbearing smug aura.
The little man snorted in frustration and picked up his bat back, After inspecting its condition he went back to swinging it around like a dumbass.
"You call that training but all I see is you doing the same action over and over again expecting improvement" I stated in disappointment.
"Well, Maybe something could improve if you helped me figure out how to actually train instead of floating around like you were some kind of god," Reynard said in frustration.
"I believe in the law of equal exchange so I'll help if you can actually provide something worthwhile for me," I said.
Reynard chose to ignore those words like your dad ignored you since that was a pretty fair point.
"Oh, If you do start calling me a god then please do so with a capital G then it'll really be accurate" I stated technical truth.
*Swoosh*
Once again Reyn attempted to bash me with his club, Though this time he didn't throw it like a madman and just swung it.
And it passed right through me.
The young man huffed in annoyance and dropped his bat to the ground.
"This shit's frustrating you know? There aren't any martial arts or cool techniques developed for bats so I really don't have a clue about batsmanship or whatever it's called" Since Reynard was a teenager with no underworld connections and came from an average-income family, he couldn't get his hands on real weapons. So he had to make do with a simple baseball bat.
"I'll have you know that there are in fact actual martial arts based on bats" I answered.
"Yeah but the apocalypse will literally happen today, I sincerely think that I won't have time to research let alone study it" Reynard answered.
"Yeah, you're not gonna. Not with that attitude" I shot back.
"Who?" He asked.
"Whaduyamean?" I asked back.
"Who asked, Bitch" He said.
"..."

<Reynard's Pov>
-= A concerning set of government documents has surfaced on the web that could potentially change humanity forever =-
The news reporter announced from the other side of the TV screen.
"Know anything about that?" I said calmly as I turned my head to gaze at my new companion.
"Silence is the fundamental antipathy of a bird's nature," Draco said mysteriously cryptic as always.
"Can you be more specific, Please?" I said in an annoyed tone.
"Crows, Ravens, and any other predatory corvids ought to do for the specific species," Draco said in a neutral voice.
"Ugh" Should have known the radiant ballsack would be unreliable.
Draco suddenly twitched as if they heard my mental complaint.
But they didn't react any further so I turned my head back to the TV screen.
-= As some of you might know, a set of peculiar events have occurred around the globe recently; Animals becoming more and more aggressive, Monitor Lizards growing bigger and more intelligent, Plants becoming more colorful and tasting better, a sudden rise in earthquakes and tsunamis, And the weather becoming highly unpredictable and more disastrous =-
The reporter said as he repeated information that had already been surfacing on the internet.
-= But now we have uncovered an even more mysterious occurrence from the document- =-
The reporter paused for dramatic effect.
-= -The continents are moving... which is normal, but the speed at which they move... Scientists are still unable to properly explain =-
"That's concerning..." I muttered.
"I thought this was going to be a 'Monsters and Dungeons appearing on the world' type of apocalypse... But is the earth literally going to explode?" I asked my companion in genuine concern.
If it was the cliche type of "Apocalypse" then he had a chance of survival, But if the planet itself got destroyed then what could he even do to possibly survive?
"Jumping to conclusions is a foolish habit common in humans... Your assumption is factually incorrect, The planet will survive along with its inhabitants but a change in the Greater Midgard will occur" Draco answered.
"Greater Midgard? Is that not the same thing as the planet?" I asked in confusion.
"No," They said, Not elaborating any further.
"I see... How much longer is it before the Advent?" I asked.
"Just around 10 minutes more" They answered.
"Damn" I had boarded up the house and prepared as many supplies as possible but I was still not confident that I could really survive in the Apocalypse.
Fortunately, I wasn't the type to wail in despair after being told some bad news... Even when the world is ending I still can't feel much of anything.
I really can't be considered a person worthy of being the protagonist, Someone who protects and saves all in the name of justice... Is what I would have said if I couldn't recognize true greatness.
Of course I deserve to be the protagonist, I'm fucking Reynard Tannin and the Apocalypse or whatever got nothing on me!
"What an utterly delusional Fool," Draco said.
"Damn, Was this how the others felt? I truly feel sorry now... Still better than that bitch though" They muttered.
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
Interrupting my self-motivating speech, A series of knocks came from the front door.
"Hmm? Who could it be I wonder" I said as I walked to the door and opened it.
In front of me stood 3 individuals of varying appearances. A somewhat handsome black-haired man with a friendly smile, A muscular bald Asian dude with a brooding expression, A red-head chick with a nasty stare and an even nastier fashion sense, And a... Little boy? He was some kind of geeky 13-year-old kid with a stereotypically nerdy getup... You know the one.
Oh and except for the kid, Everyone was wearing some type of leather jacket... There are still some people who fr think that's still cool!?
*Indescribebely stunned expression*
"Why The stunned face pal?
