-Herbology Class – Greenhouse 7-

"Are you sure this is how you clean this thing?" Terry asked me with a disgusted look.

"Yes Terry I'm sure" I rolled my eyes.

"Isn't there a less…disgusting way to clean it?" he asked, pushing a cactus-like plant away from him when one of its boils burst, "And what's that plant's name again? Mibibi mipenonia?"

"It's Mimbulus mimbletonia" I replied, cleaning my cactus with a sponge and a fine brush, "And it's just a plant with some boils, stop being a crybaby"

"A plant with boils that squirts a disgusting, smelly green goo" Terry snapped back with a scowl.

"Details" I said.

We would have continued the discussion if I hadn't felt someone approaching and sitting next to me with an annoyed huff.

"Sorry" Hermione said as I turned to her, placing her cactus on the table, "Ron isn't talking to me and Harry is weird so I thought I'd better sit down with someone else."

"And why did you choose to sit with me?" I asked, "Not that I mind, but I'm just curious," I quickly said, not wanting her to be offended.

"Sigh, honestly?" she asked, looking into my eyes, "Of all the people in this class you're the only one I talk to besides the boys and we have things in common to talk about... And I don't want to sit with Parvati or Lavender since they'll probably just gossip or talk about the things they saw in Divination class"

"Fair" I shrugged, "And to tell you the truth, your presence is good. Having someone smart to talk to is sometimes refreshing" I continued.

"But aren't you in Ravenclaw? And isn't this supposed to be the smart students' house?" she asked me confused.

"Yeah... It should" I said ignoring the look Terry was giving me, "But unfortunately Ravenclaw is short on people with more than five neurons, so talking to you is a good thing"

"Good" Hermione said with a small smile.

We then started working together on our cactus, with Terry finally building up the courage to clean his plant.

When Herbology class ended Terry quickly came out of the greenhouse wanting to clean himself, and so I started walking back to the castle with Hermione at my side.

We started talking about some Muggle-world issues, about our classes and electives, and about our studies.

She also asked me if the study group I created would be open this year, to which I said yes, much to her delight.

We then continued walking until we stopped in front of the Fat Lady's portrait in Gryffindor tower.

"Well, thanks for walking me this far. I…" Hermione started to say, but I interrupted her.

"Great Knight" I said to the Fat Lady, and after she looked at me for a moment the passage in the portrait opened.

"What?" Hermione asked confused.

"Hmm, I didn't think it would work," I muttered with a finger to my chin. I then shrugged and turned to Hermione with a smile, "Well, I've always wanted to see what the Gryffindor common room was like" I said.

"Huh?" Hermione looked at me confused, but then she saw me walking towards the passage that had been opened, "Wait!" she said, but I was already inside the Gryffindor common room.

Looking around the Gryffindor common room I noticed that it looked like the common room in the movies, but there were some differences, like the size and a few more details.

As I looked around the common room I noticed that a few Gryffindors were looking at me, some with curiosity and confusion and others with caution and animosity.

And to those who looked at me with animosity I simply shrugged them off.

"Look what we have here my 50% less handsome brother" I heard someone say, and a smile broke out on my face as I recognized the voice of one of my two prank buddies.

"I'm seeing my dear clone. Looks like the Ravens invasion has started, and they've already sent their best weapon" Fred said, and I turned to them with an amused look on my face, seeing them sitting on one of the big couches doing their homework.

"Best weapon?" I asked, approaching them.

"I was going to say deadly murder machine, but that would probably earn me a visit to the black lake in the middle of the night with my arms and legs tied to a big, heavy rock" Fred shrugged, and I looked at him blankly.

"Have you by any chance been talking to Michael?" I asked.

"Hmm, no, why?" he asked me confused.

"Nothing" I said.

"Ethan! What are you doing?!" Hermione said in a whisper of urgency as she reached my side, "You can't enter our common room, it's against the rules."

She then put her hand on my arm and started trying to pull me out of her common room, but I didn't move.

'What you are? A motionless mountain?!' she asked herself, turning red with the effort.

Looking at Hermione's futile attempts to move me, I smiled in amusement before placing my hand over her head, patting her a few times.

"Relax Hermione, it's not against the rules to enter the common room of another house if the students or the Head of House of that house allow it" I said, and then looked around, "And as far as I can see, there's no one here who want to kick me out"

Those Gryffindors I looked at simply shrugged or waved happily at me, and those with unfavorable feelings towards me dared not say anything when I looked at them with a cold gaze, but even these people were still few.

'The perks of being friendly and fun' I thought.

"But what if Professor McGonagall sees you here?" she asked still a little nervous and worried.

"Do you think Professor McGonagall would complain if she found the sir Ethan 'every professor's favorite student' Night here?" George asked with a raised eyebrow.

"More likely she'll try to force him to stay here to see if that makes him join Gryffindor" Fred snorted, and I couldn't deny that that was indeed a possibility.

After listening to the twins, Hermione's worried expression lessened, but she was still looking at me nervously.

"Don't worry, if anyone complains I can just blame the twins" I told her.

""That's a good plan"" the twins said, but then they stopped and looked at each other, and a few seconds later realization hit them.

""Hey!"" They exclaimed indignantly, but they looked at each other again and thought for a moment.

""Actually that is a GREAT plan""

Ignoring the two pranksters, Hermione looked at me uncertainly.

"Are you sure?" she asked me, and I nodded.

"Yes" I said, and then I looked at her, "And if you want, as preventive compensation for any problems that may arise, I can take you to the Ravenclaw common room"

"Are you serious!?" she asked, the nervousness and worry fading and being replaced by anticipation and excitement.

And with this question she asked I had to hold my tongue to keep from saying 'No, he's still running from the ministry.'

"Yes" I said smiling at her, and she smiled back at me.

"Hey Fred, I'm a little jealous" George said in a whisper to his brother loud enough for those nearby to hear.

"Yeah... We've been friends with him since his first year and he's never invited us to the Ravenclaw common room" Fred said, and listening to them I rolled my eyes in amusement.

"I never invited you because you obviously know how to get into the Ravenclaw common room" I said turning to them, "Actually, I'm sure the two of you have been there at some point."

""No evidence, no accusations"" they both said, which made me smile.

"I trained you well," I said, and the twins looked at me with blank faces.

And while the twins and I were talking, Hermione was wondering what the Ravenclaw common room was like and if there really was a library there, almost drooling at the thought.

"Ethan? What are you doing here?" a new voice asked me, and turning around I saw Neville standing in front of the entrance to the passage, looking at me confused.

"Surprise visit?" I said, and his confusion only increased.

He then continued looking at me for a moment before sighing.

"Cool I think," he said, and without another word he walked up the stairs to the boys' dormitory.

I looked at his back as he left, and when he was out of my sight I turned to Hermione.

"What happened to him?" I asked.

Hermione was also looking at the stairs leading to the boys' dormitories with concern, and hearing my question she looked at me sadly.

"Do you remember the DADA class where we studied and faced the Boggart?" she asked and I nodded in affirmation, "Well, it looks like Professor Snape heard about what happened in that class, and now he's targeting Neville a lot more than before" she said.

Listening to her my eyes narrowed.

'So I guess that means either Neville didn't talk to Professor McGonagall or he did and she talked to Professor Snape, and yet he's still being an idiot' I thought, and turning around again I looked in a certain direction, feeling the magic of Neville.

'Well, I guess I'll have to talk to Professor McGonagall myself then' I thought, and then an upset look appeared on my face, 'But I also think Professor Snape needs to learn... a 'little lesson' in what self-control is.'

With that thought in mind, a rather cruel smile appeared on my face, and I turned to the twins who upon seeing my smile also began to smile, realizing that a terrible wave of 'bad luck' was about to hit someone.

''May Professor Snape rest in peace'' they thought.

And meanwhile Hermione wondered if it was a wise choice to befriend me, and if she should keep me away from the twins.

End.

(End AN: Seriously, it's been a while since I read the comments on my first chapters and the current reviews.

Before I liked to read and answer you, but nowadays it seems that the toxic people of the WebNovel found this story, since most of the things commented on give cursing and offense.

Offensive reviews are usually automatically deleted by the WebNovel, but I can still read them through the app, and it's disheartening.

But I won't stop writing this story because I like it, and even I want to know the end of it. And besides, I couldn't stop writing to you guys because of some childish people, as I know there are people who like my story and support me.

And so I would like to say... Thank you all!!)
