EPISODE 15: The Vows & Action

Holding hands, both of them faced the priest, and the wedding ceremony began.

The priest started the ceremony. "Families and friends, we are all gathered here today to share this wonderful occasion. Today, we are here to witness the union of two individuals, Veronica Santiniez and Sebastian Salazar in marriage. Therefore, if anyone can show just cause why they may not be lawfully joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace." 

Salazar's men stood firmly and looked around to secure everyone who was only invited to the wedding. The old man of the Salazar family, Daniel stood up to check if anyone was trying to stop his grandson's marriage and there was none.

The priest proceeds. "Veronica and Sebastian, Have you both come here freely and without reservation to give yourselves to each other in marriage? If so, answer by saying I have."

"I have." Veronica and Sebastian answered in unison.

"Do you Sebastian, take Veronica Santiniez to be your lawfully wedded wife, to live together in marriage, to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, to have and to hold, from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?" the priest asked Sebastian directly.

Sebastian looked deeply into Veronica's eyes while smiling adoringly. "I do."

The priest smiled before he turned to Veronica. "Do you Veronica, take Sebastian Salazar to be your lawfully wedded husband, to live together in marriage, to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, to have and to hold, from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?" 

"I do," Veronica responded with love that she never thought she would show to her eyes. Only Sebastian could see them.

"Now it's time for your vows." the priest told them. 

There was a moment of silence since none of them prepared their vows but when the priest was about to help them, Sebastian made sure that Veronica was listening to whatever he was about to say.

He looked into Veronica's eyes and let his heart speak the truth by stating his vow. "Veronica Santiniez, listen to my heart and what it speaks. Feel them as I take you as my best friend that I could annoy. My wife that I could call my home and my everything that I could be myself with or whatever you could think of. I vowed to be with you during our highs and lows. I will love you and forever will be. I vowed that this love that I am feeling will continue to grow throughout the days or nights of being side by side. I will be with you. Always." He expressed his promising vow causing the priest to smile.

As for Veronica, she was speechless as she felt everything that he vowed. And with a throbbing heart, she speaks from within. "Sebastian Salazar, listen very closely to what I speak and feel what they mean. You could already tell that I'm not good at expressing what I feel and yet, you annoyed me a lot but as you said, I take you as my best friend, my husband, and everything you can think of me. I will try my best to be with you during our ups and downs and love you for eternity. I vowed that this love will continue to blossom till our last breath." She did not realize that she was already crying as much as Sebastian did.

The priest blessed their rings. "As the vow has been exchanged, these rings symbolized a never-ending cycle. Let these be a reminder of your vows, love, and faithfulness you have for each other." he handed their rings to them before speaking again. "Repeat after me, Sebastian."

"With this ring, I, Sebastian Salazar, give you this ring as a symbol of my love with the pledge of loving you always and forever." He might be shaking as he put the ring on Veronica's ring finger while his tears kept falling.

The priest turned to Veronica. "Veronica, your turn and repeat after me."

"With this ring, I, Veronica Santiniez, give you this ring as a symbol of my love with the pledge of loving you always and forever." Veronica's tears were visible on her face and Sebastian didn't hesitate to wipe them away for her.

"Before these witnesses, you have pledged to be joined in marriage. You have now sealed this pledge with your wedding rings. By the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you married. You may kiss each other." The priest ended the ceremony and let the newly sealed their marriage with a kiss.

As the enchanting wedding ceremony ended with love and joy, everyone proceeded to share a blasting moment in the blast reception. The newlyweds greeted everyone and entertained them with cheers. But even though they were having a lovely night, something began to shift in the shadow when Veronica received a notification. 

"Honey, I have to check this out." Veronica lowly whispered to her husband.

"Alright, it might be urgent. I'll handle them here." Sebastian whispered back and kissed her cheek.

"You sure?" she carefully asked.

"Yes, Hon, and be the boss." He winked and Veronica giggled.

"Then please, excuse me." Veronica politely excused herself. "I'll just take this urgent call. I'll be back before you know it." 

Veronica immediately went into a certain dark room and when she answered the call, she knew that it was from Asa. "Are they here?"

'Yes, boss. What can we do to help?'

"Strings and don't get caught or leave marks. But get one for interrogation." Veronica's voice turned sinister as her smirk turned to grim which only meant, she was in her LM mode. Then she hung up the call as she changed her wedding clothes into something dark and grim.

While Veronica was not around, in just a few moments, exchanging gunfights exploded as some gang tried to sabotage the happiness of the newlyweds. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Sebastian quickly made sure that every guest was safe inside their mansion and began to release his wrath.

"MAKE SURE TO KEEP ONE ALIVE AND BRING IT TO ME." Sebastian's anger was indeed cold and dangerous and every man who worked for him seemed compelled to do what he commanded.

Bullets were shooting everywhere causing some bodies to turn lifeless while the others were just badly wounded. Even Sebastian began to join the gunfight alongside their men to protect everyone at his wedding reception.

"Dammit." Sebastian was not doing his entirely best since being the mafia boss was not supposed to be revealed to their guests. "I'm glad my wife wasn't here." He muttered to himself when he easily put the bullet on one man trying to kill him. But he didn't anticipate the other bullet hit his back. "FUCK!"

When Sebastian was on his knees, a pair of piercing eyes witnessed everything and immediately dashed to the culprit. It quickly stabbed its heart before Ronnie's bullet hit its temple.

"Are you okay?" Ronnie asked the wrong question. "That's a wrong question but are you?"

"I am." Sebastian groaned in pain. "Find my wife, Ron." Ronnie quickly headed out to look for Veronica without saying anything. 

As Ronnie looked for her, Veronica, on the other hand, was already inside the mansion and managed to kill almost half of their attackers. But she needed to move even much faster so she could come back to her husband. But before she could do it, somebody still managed to corner Sebastian's family at the old man's office. The old Salazar was firmly holding his ground ready for anything like what his son also thinking of.

"Asa, how many got my husband's family?" Veronica as LM coldly asked her subordinate.

'Five and it was not good for the elders to keep on fighting at their age.'

"I know." LM flatly responded and slowly but quietly checked the office where they were being held captive.

Each time Veronica was in her LM mode, she moved fast and very quiet in the shadows. Nobody could even tell when or where she was going to come until it was too late. She already stood behind the first man that she could reach and covered its mouth before slitting its throat which she repeated twice.

"Well, it's time for Salazar to die today and let our gang reign." a sinister laugh echoed around the room, but LM did something to his friend and manipulated him. His friend shot him. "What the fuck?!" 

The man's head fell followed by its body revealing the person who killed it, "Oops, I missed." LM was smirking. "But not anymore."

"Who are you?!" the man began shooting but kept on missing.

"It's not for you to find out since..." she was giggling like a lunatic then slit the throat of the man without remorse. "... you're dead anyway."

LM waltzed as if she didn't do anything before their eyes and kneeled. She carefully studied each member of the Salazar and since they were all good, she stood up. But she didn't forget to give her respect to the old Salazar and respectfully bowed before leaving an emblem.

As soon as they breathe freely. "Pops, who is she?" Enrich asked.

The old man, Daniel smiled at his granddaughter. "Don't tell to Sebastian what you saw here. The heiress of S Familia is fully back," he answered while looking at the emblem that the lady left behind. "Sebastian is going to have an interesting marriage." he thought to himself as the noise from outside died down after an hour of firearms.

"Marriage you mean?" Maliyah already concluded what their grandfather meant and only a smile escaped from the old man to confirm it.

Meanwhile, as being LM, "Got someone for me?" she asked Asa while walking back to the room that she used without being caught.

'Yes, my lady. But you have to be Veronica as soon as possible to meet your husband.'

"Why?" LM was confused since the tone that she was using was worrisome.

'He's been shot.'

"Fuck." That was the only word that escaped from her mouth and hurried to be with Sebastian.
