In front of me was a scene straight out of an anime. I was facing the typical Ecchi anime cliché.
Delinquent #1: "Hey, do you want to hang out with us? Don't worry, I assure you, you're going to enjoy it."
Delinquent #2: "Oh, as expected from Dai-san, as always you have very good taste in women, just look at her, she's a cutie."
Delinquent #3: "Please Dai, you have to share her with us, it's not fair that you always take them for yourself, sometimes it's good to share, don't you think?"
In the street there were seven subjects that had clear appearances of delinquents, they had messy school uniforms, messy hair, some even had several piercings, from what I can see the seven have cornered a girl.
Dai: "Tch... I know, they don't have to remind me.... And well you say, you're going to have a few drinks with us."
The one who spoke was the one who apparently everyone called Dai, just like the others he also had messy clothes, if there was something to point out, it was that unlike the others he was handsome, I guess in the term of women he would be Ikemen.
As they continued to press the girl who seemed to be incredibly scared, in my head there was only one question....
Kenichi: (Why are these guys wearing school uniforms?)
I know it might be weird that I'm asking that question in this situation, but you can blame me, today is Sunday and it's about to get dark, what kind of stupid person wears a school uniform on the weekend, whichever way you look at it this is something out of an anime.
It's the typical cliché of the damsel in distress...
This is one of the most famous situations in Ecchi anime and romance anime, a beautiful looking girl is stopped by a group of delinquents, the girl instead of defending herself, ignoring them or running away, she freezes in fear while the delinquents look at her with perverted eyes, and just when the situation seems desperate the protagonist bravely arrives to rescue her.
This is basically a cliché that is almost obligatory in anime of these genres.
???: "E-Excuse me.... B-But I have to get back to my place..."
Dai: "Come on, don't be boring, I assure you that you're going to enjoy this as much as we are."
When the girl tried to leave, the delinquents stood in front of her, and the guy named Dai held her wrist tightly.
???: "Ugh.... T-That hurts... I-I mean it... I-I really... I have to go back... A-A home..."
At the girl's struggling the delinquents moved closer and closer to her as they laughed.
With curiosity I looked around, and saw several of the people walking through the streets, at the end they had the typical behavior that the background characters would have in this situation, they just walked while they looked away as if nothing of this situation had to do with them, some even started to record shamelessly while they laughed.
I'm not going to lie, something about this situation infuriated me, and no, it wasn't the delinquents, those guys were nothing, they were even weaker than the wolves in the bento fights.
No, what infuriated me were these people acting indifferent to what was happening.... They were so... Weak... They were so petty that it made me want to throw up....
I think after seeing this I understand the Ogre a little bit, these weaklings are disgusting, I bet if it was them being attacked by these delinquents they would just submissively throw themselves on the ground while being beaten.
I am conflicted, part of me wants to beat all these people to a pulp and another part of me thinks they are not worth it.
Fed up with this stupid farce I decided to intervene, until something happened that surprised even me.
Sincerely knowing how cliché this situation is, I thought that at some point the hero who would bravely save the damsel would show up... But... unexpectedly this hero is quite small...
Dog: "Wow... Wow..."
Faced with this desperate situation, a small Boston terrier dog bravely appeared, stood in front of the girl while barking with the intention of protecting her from the delinquents. The dog was small with a compact build and square features. It had a flattened muzzle, similar to that of a Bulldog, but no folded skin. Its ears were small and erect. He also had large, round, dark eyes, set wide apart from each other. Its tail was short, as were its limbs.
Kenichi: (I think this is the first time in my life I've ever seen a dog with such a comical appearance.... It's as if it was taken straight out of an anime)
Dai: "Ha... What's with this thing... Is it a dog...?"
Delinquent #4: "Hmm.... I think so... I mean, after all it's barking at us.... So it must be... A dog?"
Delinquent #5: "Why do you say that as a question? Who cares what this thing is.... Just kick it, as small as it is I bet it's going to fly pretty far, I bet it'll be fun to watch."
Desperately the girl took the dog in her arms while hugging him.
???: "N-No! Please, I'll do whatever you want but don't hurt Maron!"
Delinquent #7: "Hahahaha, You heard, Maron told her.... Hahaha, what's with that ridiculous name?"
Amused at the scene, all the delinquents burst out laughing while watching the dog, and they weren't the only ones, even the surrounding people were laughing.
Dai: "Okay... So you're saying that if we don't do anything to your dog, you're going to do everything we tell you..."
The girl still crying while hugging her dog replied.
???: "Yes I will do anything! But please don't hurt him! Maron is an important member of my family!"
Amused by the way the girl was crying while pleading, they decided it was time to stop playing games.
Delinquent #2: "Well, then I guess you're going to have a good time with us."
*Narrator's POV*
The Delinquent with a stupid expression, reached out his hand to touch the girl, but what he didn't notice was that behind him was someone standing.
The other delinquents didn't notice either, they were so ecstatic at the idea of doing perverted things with the girl that they didn't notice, besides they were used to people ignoring them when they did these things.
When her hand was only inches away from touching the girl's breasts, it was forcefully grabbed by another hand.
Delinquent #2: "UGH...!!!"
When they saw that the rest of the delinquents turned to look at the stupid guy who got in their way. But the moment they did they were instantly frozen.
In front of them stood a boy with an apparent age close to theirs, usually they would have beaten him until he begged for mercy, and more so if he was a boy with an appearance as good as Kenichi's, but the moment they saw his eyes, they realized....
They being delinquents instinctively look for the weak to take advantage of them, but in the same way they also avoid the strong, you're never going to look at a gang member with the guts to challenge a professional fighter, and the same thing happens in this situation, they instinctively felt it, the boy in front of them was not normal.
Although his stature was quite close to theirs, for an instant they felt they were being watched by a giant of more than two meters who looked down on them, as if they were nothing more than ants waiting to be crushed by him.
And the one who felt this the most, was the delinquent that Kenichi was holding, to an outsider it seemed like a fairly simple action, he was just squeezing his wrist, but to the delinquent it was a completely different story, he knew instantly, the moment Kenichi would apply force to his grip, his wrist would be completely shattered.
Ignoring the delinquents thoughts, Kenichi slowly began to apply force to his grip.
Delinquent #2: "Ugh.... agh... gii... ahaaa..."
The delinquent who up until now had been acting with mockery and arrogance, in a matter of seconds became like a pig groaning from the pain.
While the rest of the delinquents were still frozen in shock, only one managed to pull himself together and speak.
Dai: "O-Hey... W-Wait... What do you think you're doing? We were just having fun.... You should let go... What are you saying... If you let go we could share that girl with you-"
Just before he finished speaking, Kenichi with his other hand grabbed him by the head and lifted him slightly off the ground while starting to apply force in the same way he was doing with the other delinquent.
The people just watching and the remaining delinquents couldn't believe what they were seeing, he single handedly lifted a person up like it was nothing.
Dai: "¡¡¡Aaahh...!!! ¡¡Ugh...!! ¡¡AHH!!"
Just like the other delinquent, their apparent leader named Dai also began to screech pathetically, he even started to start crying and pleading while looking at Kenichi in terror.
Dai: "P-Please.... Agh... F-Forgive me... I-I didn't mean to do... N-Nothing to that girl... Ugh... So please... I was just being forced by these guys... Let go of me... T-This really hurts..."
The handsome playboy from a few seconds ago was nowhere to be seen anymore, now he was nothing more than a teenager crying like a baby, he didn't even hesitate to sell out his friends in order to save himself.
Kenichi had not said a single word since he subjected them, and that only served to increase more and more the fear of the delinquents, words were not necessary, at this moment Kenichi was definitely influenced by the Hanma blood, but he did not care, and the reason is because at this moment he also agrees, seeing those pathetic delinquents began to realize that he was very hard on the wolves, they were much better than these scumbags.
After a few more seconds that felt like hours, Kenichi finally released them. Being finally released from that steely grip Dai and the delinquent finally felt relieved, but that relief was short lived when they felt Kenichi's intense stare.
Kenichi: "..."
Just like from the beginning he didn't say any words, he just looked at them, this situation left them truly scared, that Dai guy even peed himself out of fear, although in this situation even the spectators didn't have the courage to say anything.
Until finally the silence that seemed eternal, was broken....
Kenichi: "Get lost!"
One word...
Just one word was enough, this word was not said out loud, and it was not said in an intimidating tone either....
It was just a casual word...
But the moment they heard it, without any shame, the seven delinquents, including their leader Dai ran away as if their lives depended on it, although it was a comical scene no one had the courage to laugh.
Kenichi made those seven wild and intimidating looking guys become like children being scolded by their parents and he did it all without throwing a single punch.
The surrounding people were surprised, and they were even more surprised when Kenichi started walking directly in the direction of the guy who was filming the whole time. There is never a shortage of such people, someone may even be dying and instead of helping or asking for help they prefer to record as if they were documenting the daily life of animals.
The guy in his nervousness stepped wrong and ended up falling on his butt, all the while still looking at Kenichi. When he was only a few centimeters away, he simply reached out his hand and as if it was the simplest thing in the world took the cell phone from him, the guy could not say anything, it was complete chaos.
Kenichi took the cell phone firmly and with a slight squeeze shattered it completely as if it was nothing more than a piece of paper. The subject could only watch in shock as the pieces of his cell phone fell to the ground one by one.
No longer caring about the existence of that guy Kenichi spoke again.
Kenichi: "I realized that while that girl was being bullied you took advantage of the situation and inadvertently started filming her in compromising angles.... This is just a warning, the next time I find you doing something like that in this area, I assure you that what I'm going to break next time is not going to be a cell phone.... Got it!"
Subject: "HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
Just like the delinquents, without any shame, I run away while screaming like a girl.
Kenichi looked around and when they all saw his look, just like the rest they quickly left the place. With nothing else to do he approached with slow steps to the girl, who was still frozen trembling in place with her eyes closed while crying.
*Kenichi's POV*
In the end it was just as I expected, at first I had intended to faint them by releasing some of my Haoshoku Haki, but after thinking it through I came to the conclusion that that was a waste, those guys were weak and had a pathetic will, in the end it was enough that I stood in front of them to make them become like the characters in the background of Baki who were trembling with fear.
Kenichi: (Come to think of it, at first I didn't know who the girl they were bullying was, only her voice sounded familiar.... But when I saw that comical looking dog that only anime mascots could have, everything became clearer).
When I looked at her, she was still in the same place with her eyes closed while shaking, you could even see her tears, I thought she was going to leave, but in her nervousness it seems she didn't even notice that those guys already left, only her dog was calm, in fact, for some reason she was looking at me while wagging her tail.
Kenichi: (Now that I remember, from the To Love-ru manga, that dog always talked about himself as if he was a guard dog).
With nothing else to do I approached the girl.
Kenichi: "Hey... Are you okay...?"
Only when she heard my voice did she finally open her eyes. Nervously, she looked around, and after a few seconds, I finally noticed that all the delinquents had left. Still feeling insecure, she turned to look at me again; it seemed she was still scared. She stared at my face for a while without saying anything.
Haruna: "S-Saruyama-kun?"
Okay, I think it was now my turn to be surprised, and it wasn't because the girl in trouble was one of the main heroines of To Love-Ru, and the main love interest of my friend Rito.
No, what surprised me was that Sairenji could tell with just one look that it was me. It's not to brag, but even I doubted it was me after seeing myself in the mirror, and even more so after cutting my hair. Besides, although we've known each other for a few years, we've never been close enough to notice such a big difference in our appearance.
Our roles were fixed in the story of To Love-Ru, she was Rito's platonic love and one of the main heroines, and I was just Rito's best friend. Apart from the times we were together with Rito, there was no reason for the two of us to meet alone, especially in this kind of situation. In fact, my counterpart in the manga and anime never showed any interest in her; he only helped Rito on some occasions so they could be alone together.
In fact, knowing the plot of To Love-Ru, the one who should have appeared here had to be Rito; of course, he wasn't going to start fighting those delinquents, he would have just taken her by the hand and run away while taking her with him.
Now that I think about it, she really needed help. I remember that in the manga, whenever she got scared by things like ghosts, she would demonstrate absurd strength. I bet that even without Rito's or my help, she would have ended up beating them up herself. I guess that's how the will of the World works, just like in an Eroge. If Rito had saved her, he would have gained positive points that would further improve their relationship.
Kenichi: "I'm surprised you realized it was me..."
It's not to brag, but my appearance has changed a lot since the other day when we saw each other on the tennis court.
Haruna: "W-Wait, so it's really you... A-I still had my doubts..."
Sairenji blushed while waving her hands nervously.
Kenichi: "I see..."
By the way, you don't have to worry anymore, those guys left a while ago, they won't come near you again.
Upon hearing my words, Sairenji nervously looked around again only to notice that those people had indeed left.
Haruna: "T-They really left... but, why...?"
Kenichi: "Well, you have to thank this little buddy of yours here, he protected you so bravely that those criminals had no choice but to run away in fear."
I said that while petting the head of the little dog named Maron.
Haruna: "E-Eh... Did Maron scare you? But I'm sure they were making fun of him... Wait... More importantly, Maron is letting herself be petted...!"
Kenichi: "That worries you more than the reason those guys left."
Haruna: "I-I mean, Maron has never tolerated men... He is usually affectionate only with women"
Kenichi: "Hahaha... I see, but I have to admit that you have a very good family member, just look at him, he stood up without fear in front of those guys to protect you, I suppose that's what you could expect from a proud Boston Terrier"
Maron: "Woof... Woof... Woof..."
As if responding to my comments, Sairenji's dog, Maron, began barking happily while wagging his tail energetically and licking my hand.
Knowing about To Love-Ru, I know very well that he understands everything I say. Although this could be due to the comedic surrealism of the series, I remember that in the manga I was able to understand Haruna when she expressed her thoughts and I also knew that she was in love with Rito.
In the story, he also used to refer to himself as a proud Boston Terrier, and honestly, I agree. Who would have thought that a dog would be more deserving of my respect than a person? At that moment, while everyone else looked away, he was the only one who tried to defend Sairenji. Despite his comical appearance, he is a very good dog.
*You managed to earn the respect of the proud Boston Terrier, Maron*
You received: Pet Summon Card.
For the moment, I'm going to ignore that reward notification.
Kenichi: "Why are you looking at us like that...? Is it really that rare to see him being friendly with a man?"
Haruna: "Actually, it is... Whenever my older sister brought a boyfriend or a college classmate, Maron would always scare them off, that's why my sister stopped bringing men to the house."
Kenichi: "Well... Some animals have instincts much more advanced than humans, if they were scared off it's most likely that those guys, just like the delinquents from earlier, had bad intentions towards your sister."
Haruna: "W-Well... D-Do you think..."
Kenichi: "Yes, don't ask how I'm so sure, I just know it, he's really very grateful that your older sister and you took him in, to the point that he wants to repay it by protecting you, it might sound strange, but that's what I believe."
Maron: "Woof... Woof... Woof... Woof..."
Even without understanding what he is saying, I can see that he is proud of my words, just when I was about to say something, Maron jumped on Sairenji and began to lick her entire body desperately.
Haruna: "Kyaah! N-No! Hahaha!" That tickles... Ahh... Just stop, Maron... No... Ahhh~"
In a matter of seconds, he licked her face, her hands, her legs, practically licking her entire body.
Kenichi: "..."
I think this is one of the strangest situations I have ever been in in my life... Don't get me wrong, knowing the story of To Love-Ru, I know perfectly well that Maron isn't doing that with ulterior motives, he's just an innocent dog who believes that licking is the greatest form of affection a pet can show to its owner.
But even so...
I am definitely in an Ecchi anime...
This scene is...
SO DAMN EROTIC...!!
