Change In Ownership

Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

Even Huang Ruobing didn't expect such a turn of events. Though, due to how complex their relationship was, she didn't expect Ye Wenxuan to immediately call off the campaign against her.

Huang Ruobing had hoped to focus her efforts on earning profits for the company instead of issues like this. But now it seemed like half of her plans had gone down the drain. However, being able to obtain the Phoenix Villa was a pleasant surprise.

Being an ambitious woman, she refused to have her efforts wasted on something like this, but now that negotiations had turned out this way, Huang Ruobing could only accept the victory as hers.

After dinner, both of them returned to the mansion together. Today was considered a fruitful day for them.

Huang Ruobing was surprised that Ye Yang was able to take over Phoenix Villa with just a sleight of his hand.

Compared to a hundred million in cash, Phoenix Villa wasn't exactly up to par, but one had to consider the deeper meaning behind this acquisition.

Currently, there weren't many suitable locations for wealthy individuals to gather for social events. Although Huang Xudong's entertainment business did capture parts of this niche, it was only appealing to the younger generation. The elder generation where authority was centralized, wasn't interested in such loud and flashy places.

Even though they weren't exactly honorable folks, they were still reluctant to appear frivolous out in public.

To have Phoenix Villa in his grasp was akin to increasing Huang Xudong's pool of resources.

Had Ye Wenxuan not rejected Ye Yang's suggestions so many times, no one would've known who Phoenix Villa belonged to in the end.

Ye Yang returned to the guest room to freshen up before lying down on the bed.

Admittedly, this type of accommodation was quite comfortable at times. Ye Yang had to travel between multiple locations today before his tasks could be considered complete.

He recalled everything in his mind and began planning his next step.

The style and decor of Ye Yang's guest room were quite similar to Huang Ruobing's room. Huang Ruobing was a generous person. Since she had decided to fake a lovers' relationship, whatever Ye Yang ate and used was of the highest quality.

Later into the night, Ye Yang heard a knock on his door. This startled him.

It wasn't usual for Huang Ruobing to show up at the door to his room. It was less of trying to avoid rousing suspicion and more of her enjoying her time alone at night. Hence, the chances of them meeting late at night were low.

Ever since Ye Yang moved into the mansion, his relationship with Huang Ruobing was solidified, to outsiders at least.

Ye Yang opened the door to find Huang Ruobing standing there with a smile. He turned sideways to let her in before asking, "What brings you here?"

"Are there any secrets that I shouldn't know of?" Huang Ruobing responded with another question, paired with a cheeky smile.

Though this wasn't the first time they were in the same room together.

Huang Ruobing briefly scanned Ye Yang's room before asking with a smile, "Have you gotten used to staying here?"

Ye Yang nodded. He wasn't that demanding when it came to such commodities.

Huang Ruobing's servants were also quite sensible. Despite the many times where Ye Yang had declared that he was a man with no noble background, not once had they mistreated him. All in all, Ye Yang was quite satisfied with the treatment he received here.

"We've gained quite a lot today," Ye Yang said to her as he got up to pour her a glass of water. As Huang Ruobing was at home, she had slipped out of her formalwear and was currently dressed in a casual long dress with her hair down.

Huang Ruobing smiled and took the glass from him. "It was all thanks to you."

At this, Ye Yang smiled faintly in return. "It's nothing. After all, if it hadn't been for the things we did together, you would not have suffered this much."

Now that they were in a fake relationship and had to be together most of the time, they were given ample time to get to know each other.

Ye Yang, in Huang Ruobing's perspective, only got increasingly mysterious over time.

As it was getting late, Huang Ruobing didn't stay at Ye Yang's room for too long before returning to her room.

The next day, they immediately went to see Ye Wenxuan. Admittedly, Ye Wenxuan was ultra-efficient when it came to work, and it didn't take long before Phoenix Villa was transferred over to Huang Ruobing.

Shortly after that, Ye Yang arrived at Phoenix Villa to begin understanding how the business operated.

At first, the staff had been apprehensive to hear that they were getting a new employer. But after Ye Yang showed up, the team seemed to have found their support again and began explaining how the restaurant functioned.

Ye Yang was assertive but easygoing on the employees. In addition, his tone was gentle when he spoke, so much so that many people were comforted by his presence.

Since Ye Yang had acquired the restaurant, he would need to address some of the premise's issues and rearrange the personnel who were still loyal to their ex-boss. Ye Wenxuan valued these arrangements as well. Had it not been for the promissory note, Ye Wenxuan wouldn't have sold the Phoenix Villa away.

For this reason, before the handover happened, quite a few of the old management staff was called back by Ye Wenxuan.

To search for new management staff was quite a hassle as they weren't familiar with how Phoenix Villa operated, unlike the previous employees. Hence, staff selection became a crucial issue to be dealt with as soon as possible.

Phoenix Villa was not an average restaurant. Only the wealthiest and most dignified individuals dined here and any careless mistakes might lead to offending these valued patrons. Previously, there were people who tried to imitate Phoenix Villa's concept but all of them ended up failing poorly and only the real deal remained standing till today.

But since Ye Yang didn't make too many changes upon acquiring the restaurant, he left shortly after making the necessary arrangements.
