"Your mother sounds like she was an amazing person," she said to him and he smiled, a bitter smile.
"She was, always putting everyone before herself and I couldn't protect her, I am the cause of her death," he said and Samara shook her head, even if she didn't know the full story.
"You're not the cause of whatever had happened to her, fate happened and you were a part of it, the good thing is having to be a part of her life." She consoled him but he only chuckled which had her crease her brows.
"Is that empathy I see there? Don't feel pity for me," he said and even though Samara wanted to protest, she knew she had to calm down.
They ate their dinner in silence, none of them saying a word, and even if Samara wanted to talk to him the whole night, she knew it was only a matter of time before he left.
"Want to take a walk outside of the mansion?" He asked and she stared at him before saying.
