A bunny

In a dimly lit room, a man was rested on a chair, spinning it from left to right. His face was covered with the shadows and it was difficult to make out his face. He was taking a sip from a glass cup, twirling it in a circular motion. His dark eyes gazing at the door as if expecting someone.

A soft knock echoed in the quiet room and he paused. A slow smirk forming on his face as he sat still with an expectant gaze, he had an idea of who it was that made that knock.

The person who had made that knock slowly pushed the door open. A man who appeared to be in his late forties stepped into the room. His face was in full view as he stood at the entrance of the room where there was a little light.

The other person who had been sitting and smirking to himself finally stood. He dropped his glass of wine and walked towards the entrance of the door.

"Yu Liang." The man called out but he didn't respond until he was close enough.

Yu Liang stood facing his father. His features were rather breathtaking. His combed hair which appeared cut was neatly arranged on his head. His eyes were red which made everyone wary of him. Everyone but his family were wary of him. His slender face made his manly features in view. Brows were thick and full and lashes long, his face could take any lady's breath away. He looked strikingly handsome with godly features. Handsome but a devil. He only lures with looks and cunningly gets what he wants.

"Father. You're here. What a pleasant surprise!" He blatantly said and just like his son, he was good looking despite his old age but his face remained cold. He neither smiled nor made jokes with just anyone, and when he usually does it's to get what he wants.

Ignoring his son's statement, he spoke. "It's good you haven't brought any woman with you today. Don't you get tired of doing the same things?"

"We don't get tired of doing the things we love. I would appreciate if you respect that." Yu Liang said and his father pulled up a slight smirk.

"No one's stopping you from doing what you want. I don't mind if you keep bedding women everyday. It's your choice and it shows how irresponsible the man I have given the position of a CEO has become." Yu Yang said, a little sarcasm was clear in his voice.

Yu Liang chuckled at his words. He knew where this conversation was leading to but he pretended to be oblivious to the fact. "You just said you don't mind if I bedded women everyday. Why call it irresponsible when you say I should do what pleases me? You had once told me, 'we should go for the things that pleases us. Life's short and it's not worth the struggling.' Are you going back on your words now?" Yu Liang asked.

"I didn't add bedding women to the list." Yu Yang countered.

"But I added it to mine." Yu Liang retorted. He was trying so hard to push his father's button because he found it amusing.

"And that's why I call you irresponsible."

"You gave birth to an irresponsible son." Yu Liang said with a grin. It didn't reach his eyes but it looked devious. He's not one who goes about smiling with others but he only did that to irk his father.

"I doubt you're my son." Yu Yang said and Yu Liang grin even grew wider.

"And yet you gave your seat to this son who is not yours, when you have many others sons to give it to." Hearing this, Yu Yang inwardly sighed. He wasn't here to bicker with his son. He came here for more important reasons.

"You should get married. Your position needs an heir. Enemies are lurking everywhere and it would be bad if you remained unmarried without a child." Hearing this, Yu Liang's grin mellowed down and he looked at his father with a serious gaze.

"I don't need to marry to have children." He said, his statement may be considered playful to anyone who hears it but his gaze projected that he was serious about what he said.

"You don't need to search for. I already have someone for you." Yu Yang said and his son grinned once again.

"Father knows what I'm thinking but I'm not interested in those girls who keeps throwing themselves at me neither am I going to accept your choice." Yu Liang said, his smile had died down since he started his statement.

"What kind of person do you want then?" Yu Yang asked, he knew his son was impossible and it wasn't easy to convince him.

"A bunny." Were his words which made his father crease his brows. A bunny?! Seems my son has gone insane!

Seeing the confused look on his father's face, Yu Liang grinned. "Yes bunny. Do you have someone as naive as a bunny?" Yu Liang asked with a raised brow and his father inwardly shook his head. 'My son sure is the devil! Twisting words to his own pleasure.'

"I do." Yu Yang said, and he brought out a paper which was tucked in his pants' pocket.

"Interesting." Yu Liang said, seemingly not interested in what his father was saying. Or more like he didn't believe his father would be able to find him the girl he wanted.

"Here, take a look at this." Yu Yang said, giving him the single piece on his hand.

Yu Liang took the picture and stared at it for some seconds. An unknown smile formed on his lips. The girl in the picture had red hair, she was holding books on her hands, it looked like she was a student. She was oblivious to the fact that a picture of her was being taken as her face wasn't facing the camera. She was wearing a simple red gown with black beads on the neckline. 'Simple and naive just the way I like.' He thought, Yu Liang caught a glimpse of her eyes, they looked different and if he wasn't mistaken, her eyes were cat-like. She was beautiful no doubt. She had appearances to what he wanted. Innocent as a bunny.

Yu Yang noticed that his son was staring at the picture with a smile which made him hope he would like her.

After staring at the photo for a while, he finally lifted his face and tucked the picture in his own pocket. His father saw this gesture and hope bloomed within his chest, though he didn't show it.

"Name?" Yu Liang asked and the old man's lips curved up a little.

"Samara." He replied.

"Samara. Indian?" Yu Liang echoed out. The smile on his face didn't falter. The old man replied with a firm 'mmn.'

"Do you like her?" Asked Yu Yang.

"What do you think father?"

"From the expression on your face it looks like you're interested in her."

"Correct father. Does her father agree to this marriage?" Asked Yu Liang.

"Her father is an acquaintance and he had agreed. Who would dare defy me when I'm the one asking." It sounded more like a statement and Yu Liang smirked. "I trust father's abilities."

"Have you met this girl and does she also agree?" Asked Yu Liang.

"At the time I went there to visit. She was also there. Her father had called for her and that was when I mentioned it. She ran upstairs to her room the second her father agreed to the alliance."

"Seems like she's heard about the rumors. Makes it more interesting." He said as he turned back and sat leisurely on his bed. His father had gone the moment he turned his back so he was left alone in the room covered with the shadows of darkness.

A small smile made it way on his lips and he muttered. "I've found an untouched bunny for my use only."
