Ellen and Eve looked at each other for a while before Eve picked up the spoon and decided to have a taste, as she was about to take a bite Shane remembered something.

"Please be careful lady Eve, the food made in my homeland can be a little bit spicy" although it was too late as Eve had already swallowed the food.

She paused for a few minutes while looking at the food, "Daughter what's wrong, are you alright" Ellen asked with a worried look on her face, meanwhile Eve just continued to eat the food, rushing it to the extent that she almost choked.

"Lady Eve, please calm down, the food is spicy and if you choke on it, I don't know how it will affect you, so please slow down" Shane was smiling while saying this because he had already received his confirmation from the system

While Shane was busy grinning, Eve finished the first serving " Mom what are you waiting for, try it out, this is the best food I have ever tasted, try it Mom" Eve urged her mother to try it out.

She didn't realize that tears were rolling down her face, it wasn't because of happiness or joy, it was because of how spicy the meal was, Shane proceeded to give her a glass of water, which she drank in a hurry.

Ellen looked at the food again and her daughter before looking and Shane, who was just standing beside Eve, she took the first spoon and then the second, followed by another one.

After going through the same scenario as her daughter, she could no longer hold back her joy, although she didn't cry because of her higher rank.

"Wow, Shane am impressed, this is wonderful, the flavor and texture mix perfectly, how did you learn to cook such an amazing dish" Ellen being a very old Elf had tasted almost all the delicacy this world had to offer, but none of them came close to this.

Shane was taken aback by the question, simply because he had no idea how to answer so he continued his lie "Ma'am as I said before I have no idea, where or who taught me how to cook, there are a lot of dishes in my head and this is just the lowest of them

I would have prepared the better ones but the ingredients needed are not present here" Shane was hoping that this lie would help him avoid any more questions

'Really, I don't believe this, how can you not remember who taught you this, maybe he is trying to hide the information for himself' Ellen clearly had her doubts about Shane's story but She didn't voice it out.

Seeing Lady Ellen's reaction, he knew that his lie wouldn't be enough so he continued "Actually ma'am, it's not that I don't remember who taught me how to cook the meal, it just that I don't remember anything about myself

I woke up some days ago and I had no knowledge of my life and how I got there" he said while bowing.

"Oh yeah, I heard from Elroy, that you don't remember anything about yourself, I thought it was a lie" This time Eve was the one that covered his lie without knowing, although most of it wasn't a lie, he had no memory of the life his current body lived before slavery.

'Wow so Elroy can't be trusted, thank heavens I didn't tell him classified information about my transmigration, he would have ratted me out, oh well I just have to bid my time here,

The mother-and-daughter duo were having their conversation but Shane didn't care, he just wanted them to release him first.

Up on a mountain top far away from any civilization, a man sat down meditating, he was not alone beside him were two young ladies that had the same face, from their looks, one could tell that they were identical twins.

They sat beside the man also meditating while releasing their aura, all of a sudden

The man looked back towards the ladies and smiled, he got up from his sitting position and did some push-ups, after counting up to 2000, the man stopped "Looks like you two are done breaking through how does it feel to rank up" he asked the twins.

Breaking through a rank in this world can be classified as a good occurrence but also a dangerous one, because not everyone can break through, and there is no way of telling if one could survive it or not, so trying to break through means one must prepare to lose his/her life.

"Father, that was a lot more painful than I imagined, I thought I was going to die, you could have told us" one of the twins replied while wiping away the sweat on her face, the other one just nodded.

"Hahahaha where's the fun in that Cecile, you are my daughters, I knew none of you would die because of such a thing so tell me how do you feel" The man laughed

Cecile made a fist and punched the air with all her strength.

All the trees standing in front of her were blown away, " Wow I feel like I can crush a bunch of 2nd-circle rank with just my fist" Cecile answered, she felt happy because of her new strength, in a world, where power and strength rule, having too much strength is not a bad idea.

Alma the other twin just nodded again, it wasn't because she was mute, it's just that she doesn't talk much or rather she prefers not to talk, the man had a huge smile on his face, knowing that they had been on this mountain for close to 3 months he wanted to let them have a little bit of excision into the forest below the mountain.

"Kids, how about we do a little spar then head back home and freshen up then we can come back and hunt some beast so that you can get used to your strength, I will not want you to kill your little sister by mistake" after agreeing with their father they did a light spar so that they would learn how to control their strength, after a few hours of training they decide to take a break and head home.

"I wonder how Eve and mom are doing, it has been a while since we last saw them, I miss Eve's cute face, father can we stop by the market when we get back home, I want to get Eve a little present"

Cecile had always been fond of her little sister and she always bought her gifts and presents, always spoiling her although she wasn't the only one, because, for the first time in 3 months, Alma finally spoke up " Yes dad, I also want to get something for her, you know we didn't tell her we were leaving, I don't want her to be mad at me, please dad" unlike others Alma was actually whispering but her voice was still clear enough for others to hear, when Cecile and Alma were born Alma cry made all the nurses except the head nurse head explode.

Her voice was so loud, but the strangest thing was that it didn't affect her twin sister if Cecile and Alma talked and Alma used her real voice it wouldn't affect her but the people around would suffer the consequence, so from little she only whisper or not talk and after years, she got used to not speaking.

"Alright girls, I also want to get something for my lovely wife, how I have missed those sexy lips of hers, and those pecky bo-----" he received a powerful kick to his leg and he felt a hand holding onto his shirt then he felt himself spinning before been launched into the air.

He stopped midair, levitating before looking down he could see his daughter laughing as they high-five each other "Oh, so this is how you want to play the game, then I will play along, if I catch anyone of you, I will break a bone and you will not be able to buy any gift for eve" he said in a clear voice while laughing.
