Chapter 21: In Which He Reveals

"Oh my god what happened!" she exclaimed rushing to his side.

He was on the bed, shirtless, with a white bandage wrapped around his abdomen and a little blood peeking out from the left side.

He knew she was going to freak out as much as he didn't want her to, it was inevitable even though he had gone through a lot worse.

She was by his side inspecting him in no time as her eyes glassed over with tears at the sight of him hurt.

"Hey, it's okay it's okay. I am alright no need to freak out" he said sitting up a little straighter with effort as he took a hold of her hand to calm her down as best as he could.

"No, you're not, t..there is b..bandages b..blood... how?" she asked looking him up and down for more injuries but found none to her relief.

"Sit baby," he said pulling her close and making her sit at his side which she did with care so as to not aggravate his injury.

"Shouldn't you be at the hospital or something?" she asked worrying over him.
