The First Taste Of Fire (Pt-1)

-Next day-

As the rays of the morning sun shined upon his face he fluttered his eyes open and let out a small yawn, his muscles still stiffened from yesterday's training.

As Ryu turned his head towards the clock he saw it was 6 in the morning so he went to the bathroom, brushed his teeth, took a shower and changed into fresh clothes and headed to the kitchen to make breakfast. After having a breakfast of fried egg and delicious miso soup he went on to take a stroll through the village, which was his daily routine.

After returning from his walk Ryu decided to continue on his training with unmatched determination in his eyes.

-3 months later-

Time flew by and Ryu didn't even notice when 3 months went by, during these months Ryu had been training with vigour and would rarely even leave his house which he did only to buy the ingredients for his meals, everyday to go to his mother's grave in the cemetery to offer his prayers and perhaps sometimes to freshen his mind by spending a couple of hours on the hokage monument, which has become his favourite place to spend his time, preferably with some snacks to accompany him.

And sure enough the fruits of his training were showing, he looked a little taller than before and also his body had gained a little bit of muscle mass, also he had managed to successfully learn the kawarami jutsu and the transformation jutsu and was almost done with the clone jutsu which he could make 2 off and just needed to add a finishing touch to it.

His taijutsu skill in the uchiha interceptor fist style, which he considered himself to have shown the most progress in, had skyrocketed over the months and now he had a grasp on the basic techniques and moves of his clan's taijutsu style. He had also set up some targets on the trees in his training ground to practice shurikenjutsu on due to which he has also managed to learn some new shuriken and kunai throwing syles.

Ryu had not neglected his physical and chakra control training which was proving kind of difficult since he had a lot more than the average chakra capacity which he guessed was due to him being an uchiha and also that his mother's genetics were passed onto him.

The criteria in which he had shown the least growth was genjutsu since it required a certain amount of chakra control and also he didn't have a partner to work with so he left the genjutsu portion for a later date and focused on his basic techniques.

He had also started to learn kenjutsu from his mother's library using a bokken which he fortunately didn't have to buy since found one in the store room of his house which was probably his mother's. Learning kenjutsu was very interesting and enjoyable for him as he was always interested in the sword art which was his mother's one of her strongest traits.

As of right now Ryu had just woken up this morning and had his breakfast of gohan and natto beans after freshening up, now just as he was heading to the training ground to do some morning physical training he heard someone knock on his front door which was quite surprising for him since the only one who visited him was the clan head Kagami.

So as Ryu went and opened the door he raised his eyebrows slightly in suprise, on his porch was a little girl with waist length silky black hair with deep black eyes and a cute face with fair skin, she was wearing a deep blue high collared short sleeved top quite similar to his and black shorts with shinobi sandals.

He quickly identified this girl as the uchiha clan head's only daughter- Mikoto uchiha, he had seen her before in the clan head's residence but he had never interacted with her.

Ryu knew that mikoto was the clan hier at least for now, as when she would grow up and marry someone that someone would become the uchiha clan head but he had no interest in such things.

Right now Mikoto was fiddling with her feets, but on seeing him come out she stopped and said with a smile on her face,

"Good morning Ryu-san"

"Good morning Mikoto-san do you need something from me?"

Hearing this Mikoto shook her head and said,

"Oh it's just that Tou-san sent me to get you, he wants to talk to you about something"

As Ryu nodded and gave her a small smile ,which brought a small blush to Mikoto's fair cheeks, and said,

"Hmm ok let's go Mikoto-san"

To that she just nodded and as he locked his door both him and mikoto started walking towards the clan head's house.

While walking along the way Ryu and Mikoto talked a little bit but nothing much, as they entered Mikoto's home and removed their sandals a woman came upto them, as Ryu looked at he woman he couldn't help but be amused at how much mikoto resembles her mother, of course the woman was- Ria Uchiha, the clan head's wife and also one of the former elite joining of konoha.

Ria had retired as an elite joining after finding that she was pregnant with mikoto and since then had become a dutiful housewife and had taken up the task to raise mikoto to the best of her capabilities. Seeing Ria, Ryu gave her a slight bow saying,

"Good morning Ria-sama"

To which Ria smiled and ruffled his hair slightly saying,

"Ha~ Ryu-kun no need to be so formal we are like your family aren't we?"

"Hai Ria oba-chan"

As Ria let out a giggle and then smiled sadly saying,

"Now that's better now, and look at you how much taller you've grown, everyday you look more like Naori"

To this he just nodded and seeing this Ria shook her her and said,

"Go on Kagami is waiting for you in his study"

"Thank you Ria oba-chan"

Saying this he just went towards the study room, upon knocking on the study room door he heard from inside,

"Ryu come inside"

He was a little startled at Kagami's sensing abilities but he quickly calmed himself and slide the door and went inside the room where he saw Kagami sitting on the floor in front of a table and was signing some documents.

As he just went and sat in front of Kagami and said smiling slightly,

"Good morning Kagami oji-san"

If he was being honest Kagami was the one he considered closest to being family as Kagami had always taken care of him and checked on him from time to time.

Hearing Ryu's greeting Kagami looked up from the documents and said with a smile,

"Good morning Ryu, how are you I haven't seen you from the last few months"

Hearing this Ryu became a little embarrassed since he had been so mixed up in his training he forgot to even meet Kagami, and said,

"Forgive me, oji-san I had started my shinobi training so...."

Hearing this a small grin was plastered on Kagami's face who said with a laugh,

"Oh is that so Ryu then it's fine, and what have you learned in these past months hmm?"

"Hai, I have practiced my taijutsu, ninjutsu, shurikenjutsu and have just started on my kenjutsu training too"

Hearing all of this Kagami raised one of his eyebrows and said with a challenging smirk,

"Hmm so would care to show me all of that?"

As Ryu just nodded with his own small smirk afterall he was never the one to shy away from a challenge.

Ryu knew Kagami was a kage level shinobi was leagues above him who had just started his training but he also wanted test what he has learned over the past three months and get a better understanding of his weakness and what areas he needed to improve himself in. So with a determined look in his eyes he followed Kagami to the backyard of the house, where he saw Ria was reading mikoto a book titled ' Shinobi'.

As him and Kagami went to the middle of the small field and stood opposite to each other gathering the attention of both mikoto and Ria who asked Kagami,

" Kagami what is going on here?"

To which Kagami just smiled and said,

"Its nothing just Ryu wanted to show me what he has learned from the past months"

Hearing this Ria and mikoto were suprised since it was really uncommon for a 4 year old to start thier shinobi training, even Ria had planned to start Mikoto's training after her 5th birthday.

Kagami being a sensor could already sense the high genin level chakra from Ryu but he had already anticipated it since Ryu was an both an uchiha and also the only son of the infamous kunoichi Naori uchiha and could also see the small muscles and better physique so Kagami just turned to Mikoto and said,

" Mikoto look closely afterall you would be entering the academy next year"

As mikoto nodded and looked at Ryu with a look of anticipation as she could not wait to see what Ryu had in store.

Just as a breeze of wind fluttered Kagami's curly and Ryu straight violet hair both took the uchiha interceptor fist form and observing it Kagami smiled and said with a excited grin on his face,

"Your form isn't too bad Ryu now come what are you waiting for?"

Hearing this a small grin was also seen on his face perhaps for the first time since he can remember and he could feel the blood pumping through his viens and his excitement for battle increased ten fold. Making the first move Ryu with the grin still on rushed at Kagami with mid genin level speed which did suprise mikoto and Ria a lot.
