The Final Showdown

The suna shinobis quickly repaired arena while Fugaku was carried to the hospital on a stretcher for medical treatment. After 10 minutes of break, the proctor finally announced loudly,

"Now for the final fight of the chunin exams could Ryu Uchiha and Saizan come down to the arena"

The audience roared in anticipation as Ryu and Saizan appeared in the middle of the arena in their respective shunshins standing opposite to each other ready for the upcoming fight.

Seeing the third kazekage nod in approval, the proctor announced,

"Now Ryu Uchiha of konoha and Saizan of mist HAJIME!"

Hearing the proctor, Saizan rushed at him with mid chunin level speed and appeared right in front him punching at his jaw, right when Saizan's fist was going to hit him, his black eyes turned blood red with three black tomoes rotating menacingly.

Using his sharingan he ducked under Saizan's fist who saw his reaction but before the mist shinobi could do anything, Ryu kicked Saizan in the abdomen who spotted blood and was send sliding in the ground. Saizan quickly got and from what Ryu could see the mist shinobi was looking pretty angry at being kicked. Just then Saizan rapidly went through handsigns shouting,

"Suiton: Water dragon bullet"

Sending a humongous water dragon with golden eyes rushing at him, seeing the approaching water dragon he couldn't help but feel the excitement of battle in blood as he went through mere three handseals and said,

"Katon: Flame whirlwind"

As huge amount of flames conjured spiralling around him, then he pointed his palm towards the incoming water dragon making a huge whirl of flames from around him rush at water dragon.

As the water dragon and fire whirl clashed and negated each other creating a thin veil of steam in the arena. Saizan hadn't been sitting idle and quickly launched couple kunais at him, seeing this he just took out a kunai and calmy deflected the kunais all while cutting off the strings attached to them.

Just then Saizan had kicked him in the face which he side-stepped only to see an incoming fist for his abdomen. As he blocked the punch he jumped and drove his knee at Saizan's chin who although blocked the attack winced in pain feeling his hands go numb.

Before Saizan could even blink, Ryu had rotated in mid air using the momentum and kicked Saizan in the jaw, as the the mist shinobi was sent flying right into the arena's wall creating a small dust cloud. Just then a figure rushed out of the dust cloud revealing to be Saizan who was bleeding from the corners of his mouth.

While running towards him Saizan made a ram sign and said

"Suiton: Water clone"

And created two water clones of himself which rushed at him while Saizan went through a long series of handseals. Watching the incoming water clones Ryu just took out a kunai which glowed white due to wins chakra before he made a ram sign and disappeared in thin air.

In the blink of eye using the shunshin jutsu Ryu had sliced through both the water clones effortlessly. Just then Saizan shouted,

"Suiton: Great waterfall"

And huge rotating pillar of water was conjured which rushed at him at high speed. Seeing the incoming rotating water pillar he just started to run towards it while making handseals.

When the rotating water pillar was close enough he said,

"Futon: Beast tearing palm"

As a sharp and strong arch of wind splitted the water pillar and rushed at Saizan who barely manage to kawarimi himself out of harm onto the other end of the arena while still receiving a deep cut on the left shoulder which was bleeding profusely but was already starting to heal slowly from the sanbi's chakra.

Not wanting give his opponent any more time, he used the shunshin jutsu to appear just behind Saizan who only had the time to glance back to see Ryu completing his handseals and say,

"Raiton: Electromagnetic murder"

As large amount of blue crackling lightning gathered in Ryu's palm which he thrusted on Saizan's back. As soon as Ryu's palm touched Saizan's back, the mist shinobi let out horrific pain filled scream and was sent crashing into the ground surrounded by lightning.

After a couple of seconds, slowly but surely Saizan stood up covered in bruises, cuts and severe burns on the back, however all these wounds were slowly regenerating and even Ryu could see that on close observation.

Watching his opponent recuperate, Ryu couldn't help but think to himself,

'These jinchurikis sure do have high endurance, perhaps I should've expected that considering their regeneration abilities'

As Saizan got up and glared hatefully at the leaf shinobi who just stared back which only seemed to make Saizan even more angry.

Just then Saizan unsheathed his club from his back and rushed at Ryu with high speed while Ryu just smirked slightly and sent chakra to the dragon shaped seal on the his wrist which reacted to the chakra and glowed before his beautiful katana kurohime appeared in his hand gaining attention from the kenjutsu experts in the audience.

As Saizan swung his chakra infused club at Ryu's head, the leaf shinobi only took his stance and blocked the club with his katana not even budging from his place. As Saizan again swung his club at Ryu's chest, who simply blocked the club and kicked Saizan in the chest which sent the mist shinobi skidding back a couple metres.

Getting angry at his failed attempts Saizan huge amounts of chakra into his club and again rushed at Ryu. Seeing this even Ryu got excited and pumped his chakra into kurohime which started to glow with black chakra with purple outline which gave an ominous feeling to the sensor shinobis in the audience.

Just as Saizan came close and swung his chakra infused club at Ryu with all his might, the uchiha just swiftly slashed at his opponent. As the weapons clashed, kurohime cut right through the club like butter and in the process and had also completely amputated Saizan's left arm from the shoulder.

As Saizan's left arm fell to the ground, Saizan's shoulder erupted with blood while the mist shinobi fell down to his knees screaming in pain. Watching the gruesome scene before them the audience gasped in horror before many noticed that Saizan's fallen arm had turned completely black before it was reduced to ashes in a couple of seconds and the same black coloration were starting to appear at Saizan's shoulder where kurohime had sliced through and the black marks were slowly but surely growing.

Ryu already knew that this was the special ability of kurohime and even a single nip from the katana will lead to death of his opponent in a matter of minutes. This was the sole reason why he only trained with kurohime in private and not when sparring with others.

But what confused Ryu the most most was that why hasn't Saizan gone into his jinchuriki mode even after taking so much beating and reached to a conclusion that perhaps Saizan (like most jinchuriki) didn't like tapping into a power due to which he had been hated for all his life by his own village.

Seeing the condition of Saizan the proctor was just about to stop the match and announce it in Ryu's favour before red bubbling chakra slowly started to spread all over Saizan's body making Ryu jump back a couple metres and the ominous feeling of the chakra was felt all over the audience.

-Kage Box-

Meanwhile as soon the red bubbling chakra had appeared from Saizan the third raikage turned to the third mizukage and asked angrily,

"Mizukage what is the meaning of this, sending a jinchuriki into the chunin exams!!?"

All of the other kages were looking at third mizukage for answers who just looked nonchalant and said,

"Raikage I don't see any problem in this afterall Saizan is a genin who is eligible for the chunin exams, jinchuriki or not doesn't matter"

Hearing the third mizukage reply the raikage A just gritted his teeth in anger, however in all the heart of all the kages except Hiruzen, they were glad that Ryu was going to die here as the young Uchiha's talent and ruthlessness hadn't escaped them, especially Ohnoki who was quite paranoid about the uchiha clan from his younger days.

Meanwhile the third mizukage although was a little bit irritated after watching his jinchuriki's arm being cut off because he knew that even if Saizan won the exams he would have to look for new candidate to transfer the sanbi which was quite tiresome work.

-Arena-

Back at the arena the proctor looked up to the kage box to search for the third kazekage's assistance who nodded at him and motioned to let the match continue. Seeing this the proctor quickly shunshined out of the arena knowing the battle was going to go out of hands and no one wanted to be in the way of an angry jinchuriki.

What captured Ryu's attention was that the jinchurikis regenerative abilities were cancelling out the kurohime's poisoning since the black marks fully disappeared from Saizan's shoulder, although this didn't bother the Uchiha much who had knew something like this was possible.

Just then Saizan slowly stood up and glared hatefully at Ryu and roared rushing at him with astonishing speed,

" I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!"

Watching the jinchuriki rush at him the Uchiha couldn't help but grin slightly and think to himself,

'And now the real fight begins'

Just as Saizan was about to punch him, Ryu kawarimied himself with a kunai lying just behind Saizan and kicked the mist shinobi in the back. Saizan had suprisingly managed to block the kick and using the momentum Ryu back flipped and landed on the ground forming handseals and said,

"Katon: Fire stream"

And spitted a huge amount of stream of flames at Saizan who like a wild beast jumped high in the air avoiding the flames and roared flying straight at him.

Just as Saizan was about to kick him in the face, Ryu side-stepped the kick and made a single ram sign saying,

"Futon: Whirlwind ball"

And breathed a rotating wind ball in his palm which smashed into Saizan's chest who was sent tumbling across the ground. Within the next moment Saizan got up and roared in anger like a beast before rushing at him again.

Seeing the state of his opponent Ryu couldn't help but frown a little bit and said,

"Alright, I think I've played enough with you"

And in a moment went through handsigns before saying,

"Futon: Wind armour"

As wind started to spiral around him and his body gained a outline of a silvery glow, even the audience could feel the winds starting to blow strongly under his technique.

The Futon: Wind armour was a jutsu personally created by Ryu who had been working on it for the past couple months, although it was still incomplete. It was obvious that he had taken the inspiration from the raikage's lightning cloak jutsu and added the wind element to it. The concept wasn't anything new as many had tried before him only to meet with failure as wind was the hardest element to stabilize.

The factors which made Ryu able to perform the technique were that he had very strong affinity towards wind and also Ryu had incorporated two layers of wind over his body with both the layers running in opposite direction and stability was this achieved.

Just as Saizan was about to kick at Ryu's abdomen, the Uchiha disappeared and appeared behind Saizan and punched the jinchuriki in the ribs who was launched towards the arena wall. Just then Ryu again appeared in Saizan's path and kicked the mist shinobi in the abdomen sending him in air before Ryu simply conjured a dense wind blade in his left palm and slashed towards Saizan.

To the shock of the audience, the wind blade extended and sliced off Saizan's remaining arm which sliced into pieces by the wind blade while Saizan screamed in agony and pain and fell to the ground holding his head.

Ryu could feel the jinchuriki loosing control to sanbi and without wasting time Ryu appeared right in front of Saizan who was starting to stand up and placed a seal on Saizan's forehead. The seal glowed and all of sanbi's chakra disappeared before Saizan's eyes rolled and the mist shinobi fell to the ground unconscious due to exhaustion and blood loss.

Watching the unconscious jinchuriki, the proctor quickly appeared in the middle of the arena and announced,

"The winner is, Ryu Uchiha!"
