Ch 4 Ice princess an other meetings

Hazel Ruby and Yang just got off the ship. Yang ended up leaving to go with her friends who they never saw as well as will never see. Hazel and Ruby were talking and she was just happy that she had a friend right now. However right in the middle of their conversation Ruby stops and starts running around looking at all the weapons that everyone has. Hazel yelled out "Watch out!" But it was already too late and she ran into Simone luggage as vials went everywhere.

"Watch where you are going you dolt." The person she ran into said. Ruby got really embarrassed and said "Sorry Sorry Sorry." As she tries to pick up the vials but they keep fumbling them around. "Give me those!" The girl yelled swiping them away from Ruby. The girl starts giving a lesson about dust to Ruby while shaking a vial in front of Ruby causing some dust to leak out and making Ruby sneeze. This is how crater face was born and Hazel couldn't help but slightly chuckle. Ruby yelled again "I'm sorry sorry sorry!" The girl then said "Aren't you a little young to be attending beacon. You know this is serious right." Ruby was getting annoyed now and yelled "Hey I said I was sorry princess." Hazel decided to step in before a certain neko " More like ice princess how about you leave Ruby alone."

This caught Weiss off guard and she did look slightly disgusted when she saw Hazel was a faunus. "What's that look for?" Hazel said. The girl spat out "Don't worry about it." Then a certain Neko popped in to the conversation " She is actually the heiress of the Schnee dust company Weiss schnee." Weiss apple up after this "Finally some recognition." The neko then followed with ""The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners." Weiss was annoyed now and "Why how dare you." As she left in a temper tantrum. The neko was leaving but Hazel stopped her real quick. "Hey I didn't get your name?" The neko decided to actually tell him since she was hiding that she was a faunus " it's Black Belladonna." Hazel nodded and said "Hi I'm Hazel we need to talk later." She just smiled and walked away.

Hazel then went over to check on Ruby. "So how you doing crater face." Ruby was a little shocked "Crater face?!" Hazel nodded and said "Yeah you left a crater after sneezing crater face." Ruby started to pout. Hazel smiled and said "Don't worry I'm sure it won't catch on come on let's go." Then they run into a blonde haired boy who went up to Ruby also asking if she was okay. Ruby said "See now I even got puke boy worrying about me and he is being nice about." The boy got a little upset and said "My name is Jaune what if I called you crater face." Hazel knew he was going to say that but still got annoyed. He pulled out a Jackal and pointed it at Jaunes head and said " Hey watch what you say to her." His eyes were covered by his cowboy hat kind of like when you can't see Luffys eyes. Ruby went over to Hazel and hugged him and said "It's fine don't worry about we were just joking." Ruby liked how he stood up for her but she knew he was a little different as he had killed previously without problem. Jaune backed up a bit and Hazel took a deep breathe before he let out a huge grin. "Sorry about that my name is Hazel." He went over to shake Jaunes hand. Jaune was hesitant but shook his hand.

The rest went as normal as they tried to find where they were supposed to go. While Jaune and Ruby were talking Hazel was trying to figure out why he snapped like that. Before Hazel knew it they had reached the auditorium where Ozpin was going to have his speech. The three were in the back when Ruby saw Yang and she said she was going to be with her sister right now. Jaune let out a sigh saying "okay." While Hazel told her to go for it and they can hangout later. Now it was just Jaune and Hazel it was a little awkward to say the least. Hazel decided to speak up first " Listen I will be honest I'm not sure how to feel about you but I don't think your a bad guy even though you might be spineless." This word caused Jaune to hang his head a bit. Hazel continued anyways I'm going to go." Jaune looked over "Wait you can't leave me by myself." Hazel smiled and said "Don't worry I'm not go talk to that red head over there." As Hazel point at Pyrrah after that Hazel disappeared before Jaune turned back around.

Ozpin then gave his speech. Hazel didn't really pay attention he was just happy he had met most of the important characters in the cast. However the one person he couldn't wait to see was Qrow. He thought himself and Qrow would get along well.

Later on

Ruby was talking to Yang about everything that happened today. Yang then whistled when she got to the part about Hazel and Jaune causing Ruby to blush. "Awww my little sister has a crush on the cowboy." Ruby blushes deeper and said "Yang be quiet and no I do not." She said as her blushed stayed. Yang said "well there are a lot of cute boys here I'm sure we will both find someone we like." Then Hazel walked in the auditorium coming from the shower causing Yangs draw to drop and Ruby looked to where she was looking. When Ruby looked over she saw Hazel with no shirt only wearing his blue pants and showing off his buckle more which had some kind of inscription on it. She started to drool a bit with Yang seeing his perfect muscular body. He was also still wearing his cowboy hat but it was tilted more up off his head resting on his neck and she started to stare at his eyes. While noticing his fox ears were still twitching around from being wet. Yang then refocused and told Ruby " I might have a crush on him too."

Hazel walked in to the auditorium and was thinking on where to sleep he noticed that Yang and Ruby looked at him but when he looked over Ruby looked away but Yang winked at him. This caused him to chuckle a bit and he winked back. Him winking back caused her to look away and start talking to Ruby. Hazel was still looking around and then he finally found Blake and went over to her. Blake was reading at the time and didn't notice Hazel was right in front of her. Hazel decided to tap on her book causing her to look up. "Sorry for interrupting your reading but I was wondering if I could crash right here." Hazel said point next to her. Blake just have a nod and said "As long as I can read." Hazel nodded and started to set his area up. He started to play some games on his scroll and said "So what book are you reading." Blake didn't give the title but said "It's about a man with two souls." Hazel nodded and said "Oh that's cool but does the book tell you how to hide faunus ears." Hazel said quietly. Blake looked shocked at first but then Hazel said "Don't worry I won't tell anyone." He then pointed to his own ears though and said "however I don't think it's a good idea to hide who you are." Blake wanted to say something but that was when Ruby and Yang showed up.

Yang started off saying "Hi this is my sister Ruby she wanted to thank you for helping her with the ice princess." She said that towards Blake. They then went on with their conversation and Hazel decided to go to sleep to wake up for tomorrow.
