Chapter 28

|3rd POV|

Ruby couldn't help but be excited at sight underneath her. She finally goes to Beacon. The academy of her dream, and she did that two years earlier than the other!

"Can you believe it, Yang?! I'm going to Beacon!"

"Of course, sis."

Yang sighs a little after saying that. It is the seventh time she has answered the question. She loves her sister dearly, but sometimes her sister can be too hyperactive for her. She is already planning to leave her sister behind and let her interact with other students. Maybe someone with the same dorkiness as her sister will appear and befriend her.

"Hey, Yang. What do you think the other student's weapon looks like? Will-"

Yang secretly put on an earphone and let her sister tire herself out or wait for the Bullhead to land.

Five minutes later, the Bullhead landed on the docking area where the huntsmen in training inside the Bullhead got out of the Bullhead. Yang looks around and sees that they are behind the Beacon academy, where the airship dock is built at the cliff's edge.

Yang looked down the cliff and saw another docking area, but it was for a water-based vehicle.

"Yang! Look!"

Yang snaps from her thoughts when she hears Ruby's voice calling her and looks in the direction where Ruby is pointing. She widens her eyes when she sees a massive submarine merge from the sea. She knows who owns that submarine, but the submarine is a little bit bigger.

"Angelo is here! That means Nora and Ren are coming as well!"

"Oh yeah. I almost forgot that both of them want to attend Beacon. I guess Angelo is escorting them himself."

"Oh! I want to get inside the submarine and explore it once again! Yang! Look at it! It is bigger than before!"

"I know, sis, I can see it myself. Anyway, we should be going. We don't want to be late, right?"

"Right!"

Yang and Ruby decide to walk toward the academy, but Yang leaves her sister behind because her sister has become a weapon maniac once again.

Nora, Ren, and Angelo get out from Eli in the water dock area. They ignore the people looking at them with a surprised expression.

"Here we are. Beacon academy. Are you guys excited?"

"Yes! We are finally learning how to be a huntsman!"

"Yes. I'm rather excited myself."

Angelo nods his head and gives them a head pat before saying.

"Good. Remember to learn everything you can and become the best huntsmen you can be. However! Make sure your academy experience is the most enjoyable thing you experience. Make friends and bond with your other teammates because they will be your teammates even after you guys graduate."

After hearing that, Nora decides she has enough and hugs Angelo tightly. She also dragged Ren like usual.

"We will miss you, brother."

"Me too, Nora, me too."

They continue to hug each other for a full minute before Angelo lets them go.

"Come on. You should go. You don't want to be late, right?"

"Right! Come on, Ren!"

Nora starts to run toward the lift leaving Ren and Angelo behind.

"Ren? Is something wrong?"

"Nothing. I just want to say thank you for taking care of us. Thank you for being patient with us. We are truly indebted to you."

"Heh. Think nothing of it. We are family, and family needs to stay together."

"Thank you… Brother."

Angelo smiles a little when Ren finally calls him brother.

"Oi! What are you guys waiting for?! Come on! Ren!"

"I think you should go, Ren. I don't want to imagine what kind of destruction Nora will do if no one is watching her."

Ren gets pale at the image of Nora walking around Beacon unsupervised. A chain of explosions comes to mind, followed by the destruction of Beacon. Ren immediately runs toward Nora, leaving Angelo watching them in amusement.

Angelo continues to look at them until both of them arrive on the cliff. Just as he is about to get back inside Eli, a woman walks toward him. This woman appears to be a middle-aged woman with very light-blonde hair tied back in a bun with a curl hanging down the right side of her face. Her eyes are bright green, and she wears thin ovular glasses. She has dangling teal earrings that match the hanging pendant on her collar.

She wears a white long-sleeved, pleated top with a wide keyhole neckline and gauntlet cuffs that flare in pleats at the wrist. A black high-waisted pencil skirt covers her lower body with bronze buttons and black fading into brown stockings.

This woman is called Glynda Goodwitch, the combat instructor of Beacon Academy.

"Good morning."

Angelo stops right on his track and looks at his back. He widened his eyes for a moment before saying.

"Good morning. Can I help you?"

He knows who this woman is. She is a well-known huntress in the world. She is one of the most powerful huntresses in the world, after all.

"You must be Angelo de la Luna, right?"

"That's right."

"Then do you mind following me to the headmaster's office? Ozpin wants to chat with you."

Angelo weighs his options but decides to accept the request. He can reject it, but Angelo knows that it will not do him any good in the long run.

"Sure. Lead the way."

"Thank you. Please follow me."

Glynda nods her head and takes Angelo to the headmaster's office. She takes a glance at the man behind her for a moment. She knows the reason why Ozpin wants to recruit him as a professor in Beacon Academy, but she is still confused why he wants to recruit him into the inner circle.

She knows that Angelo is a great huntsman. She already sees the record of the mission he takes across the Mistral Kingdom and the Vale Kingdom. More than a thousand missions since the day he graduated from the Oasis Academy.

From escorting missions to bounty hunting missions.

He did not have a perfect mission record, but most of the missions he took were successful. Especially the mission he took recently.

However, she did not know if she could trust Angelo just yet. However, if there is one thing that she can trust is that he is not the Grimm Queen pawn.

After a few minutes of walking, the two of them arrive inside the headmaster's office. The theme of the room is a clock. The chair, table, walls, and ceiling featured intricate clockwork mechanisms consisting of interlocking cogs and gears.

Angelo's power is already processing all the tech inside the room and creating a new tech tree. He held himself back from taking his scanner and copied all the tech inside the room. The only thing he can do is to scan the room using his eyes and let his power do the rest on predicting how to make the tech inside the room.

"The headmaster will arrive in a few minutes. Would you mind waiting here? There is a coffee machine to the right if you want some coffee."

"Yes."

When Glynda gets out of the office, Angelo takes a notebook from his bag and starts drawing. He continues to draw all the blueprint his power supplies him with and even modified the tech inside the room for the better.

Angelo was so focused on his work that he did not notice that ten minutes had already passed. He did not notice that Ozpin, Glynda, Peter Port, and Bartholomew Oobleck had already finished managing the student.

When they get inside the room, they can see Angelo surrounded by many papers while sitting on the ground. Ozpin took the paper near his feet and started to read it. He widens his eyes when he sees it. He sees a blueprint of a massive solar panel that can power up all the towers and makes the dust obsolete. The tower did not need a Dust Power Plant with the solar panel installed to power up the entire building.

"Oz… This is… Amazing. Look at this."

Bartholomew or Bart, who is reading another paper coming from Angelo, says with a shocked expression. The paper in his hand is a blueprint of a massive force field that surrounds Beacon Academy by using the tower as a beacon to spread the forcefield.

"Yeah. This is something else."

Ozpin looks at Angelo, who is sitting on the floor while in deep thought.

"Ahem"

Angelo ignored him.

"Ahem"

He still gets ignored.

"AHEM"

Angelo snaps from his thoughts and looks at his back. He widened his eyes when he saw the staff of Beacon Academy standing next to him. He gets up from the ground and says,

"I'm sorry for the mess. I will clean it up."

Ozpin smiles at him and says,

"Don't worry about it. You must be mister Angelo. Let me introduce myself. My name is Ozpin and welcome to Beacon."
